This is insurance fraud and l've reported this to the appropriate authorities. In addition, the care lacked clinical follow-through. There were no meaningful reassessments, and x-rays were only taken at the very beginning and end of care -- not during treatment - making it difficult to track progress or adjust the plan. The digital check-in form asked about progress each visit, but it clearly wasn't used to make any treatment adjustments. I was initially told that if I discontinued care, refunds wouldn't be provided for prepaid visits-only the option to "save unused visits for later". That discouraged me from stopping sooner, even when I wasn't seeing results. I eventually chose to discontinue treatment and requested a refund for my unused visits, reassessments, & the post treatment X-ray that I didn't receive, which I did receive after following up with corporate. I recommend that others proceed with caution: verify how billing is handled, make sure progress is being regularly assessed, & that the care plan is being adjusted accordingly and don't delay discontinuing care if your needs aren't being met. Additionally, the provider - Dr.Stormy Green, and a front desk associate often appeared irritated, when I asked billing & treatment questions or raised concerns. This created an uncomfortable environment at times, but I encourage others to ask questions anyways and advocate for themselves. I wouldn't recommend anyone patronize this provider / location considering this terrible experience.

These are the reasons why I am giving it 2 stars. I went there for probably around 6 months and often I felt like it was a waste of time. I would go there with a lot of pent up tension resulting from a car crash that would be triggered from every day work and play. I would leave with that same tension. Most of the time I wasn't appropriately adjusted. My neck and back rarely "cracked". I would leave without a single bone "cracking" and go home and use a chair to do it myself. It's not the same effect and I didn't like paying for basically nothing. They have therapy options and because I also have arthritis in my lower back that was super helpful. The only doctor who managed to "crack my back" was Dr. Clint. He ended up working at the Bartlett location when it opened. I don't know if he is still there or not. I stopped going in because I wasn't receiving any benefits. I'm sure it can be said that not all adjustments will make the "cracking noise" and I am sure that is true. If I leave an adjustment feeling the same as when I came in and can go home and crack my own back then to me that means I'm wasting my money.

I attempted to get it corrected as I thought it was obviously a mistake and was disappointed at every level dealing with the bureaucratic system they have in place. A total waste of time given the simplistic and correct solution. To provide detail, I had a yearly checkup and even had my bloodwork done previously to my visit so I could discuss with the doctor during my check up. During my visit I discussed my health in general, I also was able to ask questions about my bloodwork since I already had the results prior to the appointment. During the visit I discussed some allergies I've been having and was referred to allergist. There were no diagnoses, testing, prescriptions provided or follow up visits scheduled, only a recommendation that I should visit an allergist. After receiving my bill, it listed that I was seen as an outpatient and when calling the billing department I was advised this is one of the more expensive ways to be seen. I explained that I went in for an annual checkup and they agreed to send back to the office for recoding. After not hearing anything back for several weeks I reached out again requesting to speak with the practice manager to ensure this would be corrected. After speaking with the practice manager she explained that although it was coded incorrectly, that since I spoke about an allergy I will be charged for the annual check up and an allergy visit as well. She further explains the policy is posted in the room about how yearly checkups don't cover health issues you may have and made it sound like she's helping me out by just charging the additional allergy visit along with my checkup. She also said that I spent 50 minutes with the doctor, it was under 25 minutes. This is such a red flag in itself that the amount of time was extremely exaggerated in an attempt to make me feel I spent too much time with the doctor. I think I understand what's going on, it was not a typical 10 minute visit since I already had my bloodwork and was able to inquire about the results. Very deceptive and unfair not to advise a patient about this policy when the patient expects to speak about current health issues with the doctor during an annual checkup. At the very least, clinics should be required to be explain during checkin if you have an annual checkup that you're not allowed to discuss health related issues without incurring additional charges especially if there is not testing or additional appointments needed. At any rate, a company that charges services that are not transparent should not be trusted with your health. Even with the current state of our healthcare this is a surprise that any company would risk alienating their customers over what would appear to be a straightforward ethical practice. Additionally today I received a voice mail from the billing department that they are leaving the coding as it was originally charged as an outpatient?? $400+ dollars for an outpatient charge for what was an annual checkup. So unethical.

Lakeland Chiropractic has some of the nicest receptionists I have ever been in contact with. Dr. Fearnley is my chiropractor, and he is great.
