My friend and I cozied up to it and ate there. What a surprisingly good experience. The staff was super friendly and that bartenders had great suggestions. I hate when people at the restaurant say everything is good. Not these young ladies. They made some sound suggestions which we followed. French onion soup and the steak frites were both excellent and priced well IMO. They have a really good whiskey/bourbon selection with a few hard to find bottles. I settled on a Blantons neat. They had Pappy, but I'm not wasting money on that anymore. Food came out quickly and we ate and watched a baseball game. The locals at the bar told us about their membership program where I guess for a small mo they fee you get a bottle of wine and a charcuterie plate once a month. Seemed like a pretty good deal. I don't live anywhere near there, but if I did I'd certainly join. In any case, if you live anywhere close, this is definitely a worthwhile restaurant to visit. I saw several people walking around, not sure how well staffed, or organized since I had to wait for host when I walked in too ( 5 pm ish). I was done with food and drink and waited. Over 30 minutes after I was done then I got up to go in to ask for check. 15 minutes later I also asked her if they kept her busy inside. She said yes... hmmm no big groups?!? Each room had its own character. I loved hearing about the rich history of the building as well as how it became the tasting room it is today. There were four of us who visited. A tasting is $20 for (8) sample pours. I was surprised at how good each of the wines were! Our group's favorites were the Sauvignon Blanc, 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon, and Bishop's Blend. Jordan guided us through the tasting telling us about each wine and answering any questions we had. He did a great job at keeping our glasses full while also giving us space to enjoy.
