While the stones were all installed, the cement is already cracking and there was no clean-up on the grout between the stones so, the patio looks cheap and incomplete. Also there was never mulch placed between the trees so weeds have overtaken all of the trees. When I called and emailed Stephen to come and complete the job, there was no response. After 7 emails over 6 weeks, he finally responded but only to say that he had a personal problem and could not focus on his work and still did not schedule a time to complete the job. Shame on me for paying in cash before the job was complete but he seemed like a young, honest guy but don't be fooled !

They also broke the top slat of my fence by stepping on it to try to get to a branch. This is not my tree nor am I the owner, and while the impacted neighbor had every right to to cut branches that were problematic for her building, you are required to clean up all of the debris. I gave them access, I said to one of the crew members, "you're going to clean this up right?" He looked over and said "oh" and left. At worst, this would be considered illegally dumping, at best, I would just call it sloppy.

The initial consultation was thorough, and they prepared the quote quickly. The quote was detailed, it was easy to discuss/implement any changes - it felt like a truly cooperative process to come to a plan that we liked, was practical for our lifestyle, and within our budget. We were really looking for a company that could come in and take care of everything without the need to subcontract anything out, or organize additional vendors on our own and they fit that bill. They installed turf, removed 2 old rotting tree stumps, cleared out and replanted 2 areas of the garden, replaced a broken/rotting fence and set of steps, carted away any junk from the yard that didn't belong, and even repaired a hole in the cement left by the previous owners. The other thing that I really appreciated was that they listened when we said we wanted to keep things very low maintenance. Plants were chosen in a way that doesn't require us to fuss over them and allows us, our kid, and our dog to actually use the space without being worried about things getting ruined. During the work they required access through an apartment and were respectful of the space (and everyone's time), and left everything clean. The job took a touch longer than anyone initially expected, but that was caused by weather delays and a few extra items that came up as they were working. Communication about any changes was prompt, the additional work that came up was explained clearly, and I found any additional charges to be more than fair. We're so excited to get to use our garden and watch it grow as the weather improves, and I look forward to having Johnny and his team return for any regular maintenance. No hassle, no back-and-forth nonsense. My brother has a home in Long Island and we've already set up an appointment to remove a handful of trees. Do better, seriously.
