Jamal and his guy is super professional. My backyard was growing like a forest. He and his guy spent hours cleaning up the backyard and it looks clean and nice again. Let me first say that Jamel was courteous, comes of professional, works in a timely manner and is kind. So why the 2 stars I asked Jamel to lay down new sod in my backyard (less then 500sq feet. The value seemed reasonable. Unfortunately the job was not done correctly. He did not have all the appropriate tools needed to do this job correctly other than a rototiller. After 2 weeks of settling, you can see the seams of patches and where the mistakes were done. There were pockets of air in the grass which now have dead patches. I told him there were pockets and he said i curled them at the ends so they would fit. (Why would you curl it just cut the excess.) There were numerous times I realized he would take shortcuts. Even to the point where he would lay sod on concrete (if you don't know, you need at least 6+inches of soil for the sod to settle) He also didn't measure anything and was winging estimations and using a crosscut saw to cut the grass. The leveling of the ground is even off. If he needed more soil to level it would of been glad to get more but he didn't inform me My regret is not taking off from work to just hover the guy. Maybe Jamel is great for standard cleanup and maintenance but not for full landscaping and laying down new sod/grass Now i need to find a new way to mitigate the situation or be out $1200 (sod + Jamel Labor) read more

Jamel did a good job with my back yard but needs a few lessons on etiquette and customer service. When we first spoke, he quoted me a price of $150 for my back yard including a patch of grass in front of my house for free. I then asked him if he can spray over the weeds after the job was done and he said ok $180 on the day of the project. He gets to my home and tells my daughter the price will be $207 when we agreed upon $180. It is NOT my job to figure out what the price will be. He quoted me a price and should have stood with it and/or took the loss. Instead he wanted to have a texting argument with me when I was in the right. I wish him well and hopefully this will be a learning lesson for him. If you get a price from Jamel, GET IT IN WRITTING!!! read more

I can't say how much thankful I am! Jamel responded my call and message right away and offered next day service with a very good price. They showed up on time and discussed all the details with me ahead. My front yard was a total mess before. Took them 3-4 hours to clean up all the roots and weeds and reseeding. this is an overdue review from florida. on february 13th, i learned that it snowed in the bronx where my parents live. i searched for someone that would shovel after it stopped snowing. i contacted jamal and he returned my call immediately. he sounded busy but said that he would fit me into the schedule. i sent him pics of the front stoop, sidewalk and driveway. he gave me a price. i pre-paid him (took a chance) and that afternoon he showed up at the house. he took before and after pictures and went above and beyond by spreading calcium chloride (salt) throughout the area. that was something that wasn't discussed and he did it. i appreciate when people take pride in their work. i would have given him 5 stars but the program is hinky and only allowed 4. as i shared with jamal, i would definitelyly recoomend him and use him in the future. keep up the great work!!! thanks again!!! read more

My front yard, driveway and backyard were in need of mowing and cleanup badly. Jamel and Alvin arrived on time and were very professional, courteous and organized in the way they worked. They really went above and beyond and all three areas look wonderful. A neighbor even passed by my home and I saw her asking about his work and I believe she may be hiring him too. Jamel and Alvin were very meticulous in getting my weeds out and getting the backyard lawn looking very nice and also took care of overgrown hanging weeds and a large shrub which was really dead practically and was just a tangled mess of overgrown weeds. My backyard patio was covered in weeds and now it looks gorgeous. They also trimmed away tall thick branches that were hanging over to my side and were brushing up against my house from a neighbor's yard. They trimmed a good deal of those branches away. For starters our yard was a complete mess with weeds and crazy overgrown vegetation. We called many landscaping companies and other yard cleaning services. But many we called said the job was too much to handle or gave us an astronomical estimate and lenghty time frame to complete the job. We came across Jamel the owner of Lil Love Cleaning. We read the reviews and decided to give him a call. Jamel quickly responded came over the next morning, saw what needed to be done and gave us a more than fair estimate. Jamel provided us with his full credentials. Needless to say this brother is on point, professional, polite and well educated in horticulture. So we agreed to the terms and everything was set. He arrived early the next day and cleaned our yard for 8 hrs. We were amazed of how our yard looked after he was done.
