These guys did a really, really nice job on my Brooklyn rooftop space. What particularly impressed me was a selection of plants that would bloom at different points in the spring / summer, keeping my deck looking lovely in dynamic fashion. We had a rooftop deck landscaped by Amber Freda in July of 2021. The installation was easy and done in a day. 9 months later, we had lost 16 bushes and trees and she was nowhere to be found and didn't even care to see what could be done. We have since learned that the items she chose to install, along with the hardscape planters, were not appropriate for a rooftop deck or our location. We spend a great deal of money and now have to do much of it over. Not everyone who claims to be an expert is one. read more

Amber is a consummate professional. I am pleased to highly recommend her work. I reached out to four similar firms. The other firms were unorganized or unresponsive. I played phone tag with one of the other firms for two weeks, setting up meetings to view the decks to be designed only to have them cancel and try to reschedule at the last minute. Amber was immediately responsive, showed up on time as agreed, and came armed with great ideas. She was clearly excited and enthusiastic to get to work. She provided several high quality drawings of how she proposed to layout the space, complete with pictures of the trees, plants, flowers, planters, lights, and furniture. She took my feedback and immediately incorporated it. At the end of the design phase I was very pleased with the planned work. On planting day, she showed up with a full crew, put down paper in our home to protect the floors and got the job done as promised. They left a clean job site. When I returned that evening, everything was as expected. Once I had a chance to view the implementation of the plan, I decided to make a few changes. Amber was immediately responsive, took my feedback, and promptly made the changes at no additional cost. Her guiding principle is that the customer needs to be happy with the job. And that's exactly what happened. In addition to the initial work, I also work with Amber on continued maintenance and care. She reaches out to schedule the work and makes sure everything goes according to plan. Good help is hard to find. It would be great if everyone did what they said they would do.
