Staff changed over the years of course. All friendly and doing what they could and can to help. The Pharmacy is still there taking care of local residence. Due to changes of the times (and perhaps the pandemic) they have had to downsize from the original larger store. Yet, they are sitll there in the shopping center off Broadway (Hicksville 107) and Lewis Street. There is something of a comfort to know this. I am 68 and he will the award of being the most condescending pharmacist I have EVER MET. I went in with a list of all my prescription's to ask what they carries. Needless t say we never even had the conversation. I went there due to all the positive feedback and drove an hour to do so. A total waste of my time. I replaced them as soon as I got home. I would not touch them with a stick. Horrible. I felt like I was 10 and my mother climbed out of her grave to mansplane the world. Never again.

Nathan, the pharmacist is aware of everything and always acknowledges customers. I was floored that he knew my name! There is never a wait and I get a text when my prescription is ready. Today pharmacist/co-owner Nathan answered the questions that I posed of a medical device that I use and of a few nutritional supplements that I contemplated buying from him. He was a pleasure to talk to. The store associate was helpful, too, asking me if there was anything she could help me with. What I especially like about this pharmacy is that it is open on Sundays although only for four hours. Costco Pharmacy, where I usually get my medications filled, is not open that day. The only negative about New Island Pharmacy is that it is quite small, and parking is tight.

There were some nice stirring silver charms stored an on display in the back. She noted that she is getting even more of a variety of choice items in soon. As I don't use their pharmacy, I can't comment further on that area. Seems to me to be a good place to shop for upcoming holiday gifts.
