Cheap, cheap and cheaper. Rite Aid may be the worst drug store in the country. The lines are always unbearable - it does not matter when you get there. There are never about people working the registers and forget about their pharmacy (that is so understaffed it is a joke). The shelves are barley stocked or even worse stocked with random "stuff" from China. Goto CVS - the extra mile is worth it. read more

So.....I just got home from picking up my prescription from this rite aid. Usually there is a very long line that I wait in for people to pick up their prescriptions as well as pay for a number of other items (lie a shopping cart full). I find it very rude to hold up the line but wait (sometimes impatiently:) ). Today, I had 5 items in a basket and , seeing that there was no one behind me, I asked the pharmacist (?) if I could just pay for them. He curtly told me to bring them up front as that would be "great". Seriously? Great for who? I am sure he would have told me if there had been a change in policy about people paying for items at the pharmacy but he said nothing, which leads me to believe that he was just too lazy to want to spend one minute (probably more like thirty seconds) ringing up two bags of chips and three entenmanns items. I found it extremely rude as I never would have even asked except for the fact that no one was behind me and I have had to wait many times for people to ring up several items. Overall just poor customer relations (maybe this rite aid is going out of business, hence the apathy). read more

Drugs / Stuff. This place has changed names a few times over the years and now it is Rite-Aid. No matter the name of the place, it always looks like an infantry division just went through the place - always. It is always perpetually crowded due to the uber convenient location. Checking out can be a chore as there is always a huge line and some harried looking clerks. I avoid unless it is an absolute emergency. Big, busy parking lot out front. read more

Been going to this rite aid for years but after my experience tonight, Friday 5/8/2020, NEVER AGAIN! Instead of Dulcolax they gave us Docusate, then when I called to speak with the pharmacist about it I got a MAJOR ATTITUDE on the phone saying I was wrong and that they don't do refunds. Excuse me, WHAT? YOU gave us the wrong medication and you are putting this on me? The worst part is we did not get an apology, just an excuse that they misunderstood the doctor's voicemail. Can't speak for anyone else but the pharmacist tonight (Friday evening) was absolutely awful--AVOID unless you like to be treated like an idiot! read more

Rite aid is a generally unimpressive store and this location is no exception. It's no different than Walgreens or CVS. When are they gonna take bold steps to set themselves apart in a world of generic boring pharmacy options? Maybe hook up some free samples or something, I don't know. Get creative. I should have known to stay away when I saw it was a Rite Aid, but the fact that it was open late (24 Hours) drew me in. I needed to get some photos developed and I figured it would be quick and painless since it was so late and no one would be around. How I was so wrong. The first two machines I tried did not work, then the photo employee came over and tried a third machine, which worked but only if you tapped the screen on a certain angle (possibly 38 degrees). The employee Dace was also uncontrollably laughing the entire time while helping me and I still cannot figure out why. He told me it would take about 20 minutes for all of the photos to print out so I went out, got coffee, drove around and came back about 40 minutes later. Lo and behold, Dace was laughing his ass off at the machine talking to himself about changing the ink and paper. He said only 20 pictures printed in all that time. Unbelievable! I waited in the store for about another 15 minutes and then just left. His uncontrollable laughter and Brother Mouzone disposition gave me the creeps. As I said, I have never had good experiences at Rite Aid, but for this location, it could have just been a night crew thing. I would definitely avoid either way. Parking lot in front. read more

Yep, it has come to this. I am reviewing a Rite Aid...and I'm excited about it. I love this Rite Aid. Hell, I love pharmacy shopping in general really. First off, this place is open 24 hrs and the pharmacy is open until midnight. While you wouldn't think this is that big of a deal, it is. In Hton Village if you're not a bar, you are closed by 8pm. They also just renovated the place. So it looks bright, fresh and ready for me to buy useless crap in 30 different aisles. It's cleaner than it used to be and there is generally no line, as opposed to the typical 1 cashier pharmacies where you stand in an awkward pattern with your basket of q-tips, batteries, lube and sour patch kids. Parking has never been a problem for me here either. read more

When this drugstore used to be an "Eckerds" Pharmacy, I loved it and went there all the time; with clean, well stock shelves and friendly staff. However, since it changed to a "Rite Aid", something has gone wrong... First, the friendly staff is gone, cleanliness down and shelves not properly stock or items in the wrong aisles. In fact, here is the deal... and please, read first before getting upset... I am not an "age-discriminatory" person and I believe in everyone getting a change to return to the workforce if they chose to. (But be careful! One of the 'elderly' employees I was talking to, told me - and they love to talk once you engage them - that he had to come back to work because he could not pay his bills with his retired/social security income... yikes!) However, here is what I am trying to say... When your workforce is mostly of people who are over 70 years old, you need to know where to place them and do a job that they are fit, physically and mentally, to fulfill.... The last time I was there, it took over 15 minutes for 3 customers who only had 2 to 3 items each to get out of the store. The 'elderly' man at the cash register did not know how to use it very well... first, it was that the cash register was not reading the barcodes properly, then it was not understanding his commands, then could not get the credit card to work... I mean, it was awful! By the time I got to the front of the line, I thought he was going to have a 'heart attack' from the stress! Some of the customers even bagged their own items as we could tell he was not physically capable of lifting them. By all means, anyone who wants to work and be part be someone who contributes to society, at any age and time, please be my guest! It is better to be a great contributing member of society than a bum... but lets ensure that the emoployees are fit for the tasks that they are assigned to. Anyway, this is why I rather go to Value Drugs in Huntington and pass my money to someone locally than to support the 'riches' who own a super chain store! read more

I usually stop on my way home from work (late) and am so impressed with the staff at the Huntington Rite Aid.. The pharmacy is excellent and always helpful and the night time cashiers are also professional and cheerful (as cheerful as one can be at 11 pm!). I remember Eckerd and Genovese and they didn't hold a candle to this Rite Aid. Kudo's for my Rite Aid! Thank you for always being there for me! read more

I normally go to Walgreens, but this Rite Aid is conveniently 24 hrs and fully stocked should you need anything. I've had issues in the past with pharmacies not having prescriptions stocked or not having it ready in time because they're too busy, but this location has always been a smooth transaction. read more

This is not the first time I get this service in this location. All I needed was something for sore throat, and instead of having someone coming, and show me the options, or at least tell me what will be the best thing for me, I only got "look at line number 3B, you should find it there". Now here is the problem: this place supply medicines! Not fruits or vegetables. To ask someone where the medicine for sore throat is, is different than asking where you keep the bananas at a market. So if you sell medicine, you should have someone who is willing to help you, and a professional one. This is people's health you are dealing with. So I searched online for different medicines (While I am inside the place), and purchased what I thought will be the best thing for me, but this is not what you expect from such a place to offer you. If we leave that incident aside for a moment, they do have a huge collection of medicines, and most of the time the lines aren't that long. And their prices are fair. Just have some more manpower, and improve the service. Since now that even the checkout process is automatic, soon there won't be any people working here... read more

I normally don't write reviews in general, and certainly not for drugstores, but when I went on-line to get the pharmacy phone number and saw some negative reviews, I felt I had to write. I've been coming to this store and the pharmacy in the store for years (and thorough several name changes). The service at the pharmacy has always been top-notch and extremely professional. I like them enough that I pay a bit more to have some ongoing prescriptions filled here rather than use the mail-away service that my insurance company requires. I can't say enough good about this store. read more

I love Rite Aid. This is legitimately the only place I shop because they have everything and it's so easy and convenient to where I live. Everyone that works there is pretty awesome as well. I have never had any issues and I am constantly in the place. The only downside is the lines always get pretty crazy. With the location they are in they get a lot of foot traffic and you usually have to wait a little for the line. Whenever the line gets long though they call for backup so it works out nicely. My Rite Aid card also takes like 15% off everything I buy which is awesome. I was literally just in the place and when I was waiting on line they did as I previously stated and called a third cashier for backup. If I could change ONE thing about this place I would have Rite Aid make it so that when they call someone for backup 'intro music' would play as they ran to the front of the store. Imagine being at a wrestling match and the wrestler comes out from backstage and is introduced as he walks to the ring. I WANT THAT. "Gary, we need back up. ::Intro music blasts over the PA system as he runs to front'. I would really like this. Like a lot. Thank you for your time. read more

I'd give it minus 10 stars if possible. I am fuming too much to write a decent review. I will expand on this later, because I'm also really sick, and can't do a lengthy write up. But for right now, I will say that I dealt with an utterly unprofessional and shockingly rude pharmacist tonight. I actually was so stunned by the things he said that my mouth dropped open and I didn't respond as I later wished I had. I'm calling the manager of the store tomorrow and will also be contacting their local corporate office. I never complain about businesses, so it has to be major for me to feel I need to make this kind of a fuss about it. The man was totally out of line. It was also downright discriminatory against a person who is clearly disabled (I use a cane, it's tough to overlook) and I also was very obviously looking unwell. I had just come from an urgent care to pick up meds and was in bad shape. I did not deserve to be treated like I was some kind of low life scum. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. I just called to refill a prescription that I have always gotten refilled in three packs. The last time I was there they only refilled it in a one pack but assured me that if I called ahead of time a three pack would be no problem. When I called, the woman who answered the phone was extremely rude. As I was trying to explain the situation, she rudely interrupted me twice. Mind you, my explanation took under 30 seconds. Then she refused to refill the prescription as a three pack and basically hung up the phone on me. I was beyond polite for the entire exchange and can only wonder why someone whose sole purpose is to answer a telephone and be courteous to the public even has a job. Unfortunately I live a few blocks away and use this rite aid as my pharmacy. Everyone else who works there has always been wonderful but this exchange left me with a bad taste. read more
