Because the prices and service are exceptional and the crew (especially Tina) are tops at customer service and are friendly and caring. Both of my parents got their prescriptions here for years and years as did I until my insurance plan changed. So it is not that I am some kind of stranger to this establishment. Every year I would pick up a Norman Rockwell calendar that they handed out. Well, not this year. In a very snarky tone, a woman pharmacist (?) told me in no uncertain terms "No! No!" that they wouldn't be giving them out. It's little things like this that make me go elsewhere. read more

I was notified of an exposure to COVID and wanted to take a home COVID test. I always prefer to patronize locally owned companies. So I called KPP and was pleased that they had the home COVID test in stock. I expected to pay a little more because it is a small company. However, a 225% mark up was extreme (normally sold for $23.99; KPP sold for $78.99). I will not shop with them again. read more

I will admit I have limited experience with the store. Last October my special needs 9 year-old was diagnosed with pneumonia . Rite aid did not carry the attachment for the inhaler. I called kings Park pharmacy and spoke to the pharmacist directly they had it so I called rite aid and told them to transfer the prescription to them. After 3 phone called they had not transferred it. The pharmacist called himself to rite aid and had it worked out. I can't express how great-full I was for this I was so worried about my daughter being sick it was nice to have them help us out. read more

I am appalled! They are price gouging COVID at home tests, splitting test boxes and sending it home with patrons in a Ziploc Bag with a photocopy of the directions. One test- $25. Two tests- $80!!!! When questioned they claimed as a small "mom and pop shop" they do not receive discounts like the big stores. As a community member I proudly support local business but to take advantage of your community in a time of need is deplorable. Kings Park Pharmacy has a nice ambiance and service is typically very fast. However, I've been working in the health care industry for 20 years and have experienced unethical behavior, personally, from Nick. Recently, a prescription was sent over by my daughter's pediatrician without the coding needed to process through the insurance. The pediatrician's office was already closed but luckily I was still able to obtain the medicine, that day, by paying "out of pocket." I went back to Kings Park Pharmacy as the pediatrician's office called in the necessary information to now process the RX through my insurance. Nick told me he could not send this to my insurance for payment because the coding that was sent over would be used for my daughter's "future" prescriptions. There are no refills on antibiotics and prednisone for my daughter to have filled in the "future." Should she need these prescriptions, again, the pediatrician would have to send it in after another sick visit with my daughter, with possibly different coding, depending on the diagnosis. I knew Nick was being dishonest so it was fruitless to get into a discussion about it. I contacted Magellan RX to inquire about reimbursement for these medications. The representative stated I can go back to the pharmacy and they will gladly run the prescriptions so I can get reimbursed. I explained what Nick told me and the representative contacted Kings Park Pharmacy. The representative stated the pharmacist must really be having a bad day because the pharmacist was rude to her and finally said they would not process the prescriptions because it just passed 7 days. Another time, my older daughter just enrolled onto medicaid and was supposed to be terminated off of my coverage. I gave the new insurance information and told Nick that she may still show active on my coverage, but to process the RX on her new coverage, as she will be retro terminated from my coverage. When I picked up the medication, I verified what coverage he ran the RX through and he had put it through on my Anthem coverage. I explained to him, my daughter is going to be retro terminated and I didn't want to be held accountable for using the coverage, afterwards. I had to again ask that he process it through her rightful coverage. My family is on maintenance medications. Nick does not like filling 90 day prescriptions. The first time, I ran into a complication, as well. When I went to pick up the medication, he handed me a 30 day supply. I addressed that it was supposed to be a 90 day prescription and he made it seem like it was an error, which is quite possible! However, another time, when I tried to fill a 90 day prescription again, he handed me a 30 day supply and said they didn't have anymore in stock. I do believe this pharmacy provides excellent service and I have experienced many satisfactory visits. However, I would not go back there based on these circumstances. read more

I have been to many pharmacies throughout my life for various reasons and no pharmacy provided service as well as Kings Park Pharmacy. The owner, Nick, was so respectful and kind. He really went above and beyond to help me with my prescription and insurance issues. He went out of his way to get my insurance to cover a 90-day supply so I did not have to make many trips to the pharmacy because I lived far away. He took the time out to ensure accuracy in all of my new prescriptions and he took the time to diligently counsel on all of the medications. I was in the store waiting for my prescriptions and noticed that he does not just do that for some customers but he treats every customer wonderfully. I was amazed at the service and relationship Nick has developed with his customers. I will never go to another pharmacy again! read more

I mean I went in here to renew a prescription and the kid behind the counter had cigarettes behind his ears.. you work in a pharmacy.. also when i went in to renew the medication i was told by my dr to have the pharmacist call the office because of an issue sending the prescription and she would email it over the kid who was i guess the pharmacist was like ugh they should never tell you to do that because they never pick up.. meanwhile they picked up right away.. i was just doing what the dr told me to do and your complaining to me? not professional at all. miss the old crew prior to the change over. not going back. read more

RUDE NASTY, kings park pharmacy is a drop off point for ups , I sent my son to pick up the package the woman yelled at him! So my son called me, I. Called the he pharmacy and asked what the problem was, hers words to me. AS I TOLD YOUR SON THE PACAGE ISNT HERE, and then continued to go on and on how ups works And that he should know that you have to be notified that the package was there I said we were. Notified! See was very rude and aggressive with her matter of speaking. I hung up on her, I called back to speak with the owner who tried to say she wasn't rude well bad customer service starting with the first words that the customer is wrong, I will NEVER GO TO THIS BUSINESS. I had my package rerouted so I didn't have to go in and deal with these people. read more

This gem of a pharmacy has impressed me. Personalized service only a mom and pop type of shop can offer. Nick, the owner will twist himself into a pretzel to accommodate your needs and keep his customers. The place is noticeably immaculate and the selection of items for sale go above and beyond. From hand made soaps, essential oils to stuffed animals for little ones. Nice unique items as well as the usual over the counter remedies.
