Drew was awesome! My boyfriend and I were escaping COVID for a couple weeks and drove to Utah. We called the same day and surprisingly they weren't as busy and told us to pull up! A must for visitors and residents alike! Summer in Utah is amazing , 80F days and long sunny days invite an extraordinary choice of outdoor activities. I have enjoyed almost everything that is on offer apart from a RZR. A RZR is an ATV type of thing, not a car, not a dirt bike or standard one person ATV. It is a four seater off road vehicle and when you rent one here it is actually street legal , yes license plates, seat belts, rear view mirrors, turn signals, roll cage and NO helmets needed. Brilliant. So pick up on Main St. in Midway and drive through the streets until you reach the trailheads above Soldier Hollow Golf Course. The trails here are extensive, up the mountains and into the forest at almost 10,000 feet. The RZR is fast and easy to drive. These machines cost in excess of $20,000 so if you plan to use infrequently it is a couple of hundred dollars very well spent. Drew was excellent and I will be back soon. PS You get very dirty so bring sunglasses and don't wear your best outdoor cool clothes. read more

Today we rented two atvs from midway adventure and rode around cascade Springs. It was a lot of fun. The guy gave us a map and told us the best routes to take. On the atv, you need long pants so you don't burn your legs on the exhaust. I would even suggest making sure your ankles are covered because it does hurt. On the trip, make sure to bring a backpack filled with water, sunscreen, lip balm, and a jacket. It did get cold halfway through and I was grateful that I had one. It was $135per atv,then it was $40 each for insurance. After we stopped at the Gas Station across the street and added gas. It was only $5 per atv. It was a great experience! Planned on renting bikes but he didn't have any kids bikes so at last minute switched to an ATV, which we had never done. Owner gave a great overview, but not the friendliest guy. Seemed burnt out , or maybe just a bad day. I do wish he had spent a little more time on the route - He gave us a map but still ended up taking a few wrong turns and got pretty lost. Like, really lost. Luckily had reception on phone and Gaia off-road map access. Regardless, still had a great time. read more

We booked a rafting trip for our sons 3rd birthday. We had a wonderful time and the Midway Adventure Co had everything lined up perfectly. The staff was super helpful and accommodating. We had a lot of fun and learned some new stuff about Utah. They had a picnic type of lunch for us half way through the rafting adventure. The only thing that I wish we would have known to bring was a small towel or sheet to sit on while we ate lunch. It was a bit hard to help the kids hold their plates and eat on a log. My family and I had a day in Salt Lake before flying back home to Chicago. We wanted to do something fun and exciting. We have a 19 yo son and a 23 yo daughter. We had spent the week touring the #Mighty5, so we did not want any more hiking. We thought off-roading would be fun. I called Midway and Drew (owner) said he had opening for an afternoon trip. (We were heading up from Cedar City so it was perfect timing for us.) He put us on one of his brand new Polaris 1000XP's. He gave us a thorough explanation about the machine and the trail we were going to go on. (There was even a cooler on the back filled with ice for our water/Gatorade!) He cracked many jokes during his briefing. We were able to follow the map he gave us to a T!! To say we had a blast is an understatement!! Exhilarating!! When we got back, Casey was there. He was extremely nice as well. Drew met up with us as we were leaving and even recommended a great restaurant with and amazing patio, Back40. We would HIGHLY recommend Midway Adventures.....and Back40!! read more

I went on a sunset rafting trip with Midway Adventure Company this past week along the Provo River. Our tour guides (Drew and Lara) were extremely friendly, and we had a great time with them. I thought the prices were very reasonable for a 2 hour trip. They even brought snacks along with for the trip and taught us some games to play on our stops along the way. I really felt like they were having fun spending time with us too, so either they are just really good at their jobs, or they are just really nice people! I felt the stops along the way were a bit longer than necessary, and ultimately would have liked to spend more time in the river though. This is a great rafting trip for people with young children, as they would probably get bored just floating on the river, talking to adults the whole time. For me, I would have preferred something a bit more challenging! read more

We have rented from this company both times we have come to Utah on vacation. In 2010 we rented a Razor and had a great time. This summer we went on a float of the Provo river. Our young guides were friendly and professional. We had a great time down the river. I am scoring a 4 because whoever helped me on the phone was a bit of a "cool guy". Sarcastic and some attitude. As a busy mother of 3, I don't need someone with the "cool guy" attitude "helping" me. Our guides on the river were very respectful, knowledgeable, fun and interesting. read more

Love this place. First of all they have the best price in town, and neighboring towns alike to be honest. I Needed to rent skis, boots, and poles and was seriously impressed. We rented the razor for a tour up on the ridge. This is an unguided tour. That machine is a blast. It has tons of power and will go over anything. We received a map and some verbal instructions, which were perfect for me. If you are uncomfortable following a map take a GPS. Note that your phone will not work because there is no service behind the ridge. read more

Chose this company based on reviews from other sites. Went on a rafting trip in Mid June, 2015. Very enjoyable experience. The trip was very well organized, properly staffed, and coordinated. Took a raft trip with wife and 2 children down the Provo river in the afternoon. a great family activity. Very safe. The guides are professional, cheerful and friendly. I booked a raft tour with these guys, but unfortunately only my boyfriend and I were on the reservation so not enough people to make the raft work. However, we ended up doing a kayak tour which was just as fun, maybe even better! Kevin was a great guide and a lot of fun to talk to. Book these guys for your outdoor fun! I've been coming to Midway for ten years and have seen a lot of changes in this small town. One of the great additions was MIDWAY ADVENTURE. They rent bikes and canoes in the summer and skis (both Nordic and alpine) and snow shoes in the winter. I also believe they organize hikes, rafting trips, and snowmobile tours. "Drew", the owner, grew up in the Heber Valley and knows all the great spots to find fun in the wilderness. Their prices are reasonable and their service is attentive. Do yourself a favor and rent locally and avoid the hassles of the resorts. read more

We booked the lunch river "rafting" trip on June 27, 2014. We had some difficulties getting Drew to return phone calls, but we'll give him the benefit of the doubt that it was probably busy (I think he was the only one minding the store). Our guides (Keith and Matt) were great - very helpful and friendly. Mike (bus driver, and hauling the food) was also a great guy - very friendly. Now, if you are looking for an exciting, hold-on tight to save your life white-water river trip - this isn't the trip you are looking for. If there was a class-0 river, it would be the Provo (just not much turbulence). HOWEVER, if you want a nice relaxing "float" down the Provo River, with knowledgeable guides who will ensure you have a good time; a trip where you can enjoy a good meal halfway through your float - this is what you are looking for. Provo Canyon is beautiful, and you'll enjoy a leisurely trip down the river. Don't worry about bringing your cell phone for pictures - there's really not much chance that you are going to loose your phone - and you'll want to take pictures as you make your way down the river. You're likely not going to get soaked (maybe a little wet), so my only recommendation is that you wear shorts and some footwear which will drain/dry easily (water-shoes). I'd take this trip again, and definitely recommend it to others. It's a good value for your money. read more
