BUYERS BEWARE OF MIDWAY CHEVY -- DOCUMENT EVERYTHING My experience trying to purchase a Silverado 2500 from Midway Chevy was extremely frustrating, and I would strongly recommend that anyone shopping there look very closely at the numbers instead of focusing on the advertised "discount." [[HIGHLIGHT]]The sales representative I dealt with was Brent Katz, and I want to be clear that I have the conversations and explanations regarding my trade valuation in writing, including the different explanations I was given for why Midway valued my truck approximately $4,000 lower.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They were advertising what sounds like a great $6,250 upfront discount on their Silverado 2500 trucks. Unfortunately, once I started going through the actual numbers, that discount wasn't nearly as impressive as they made it sound. First, I asked Brent Katz to have my trade appraised. Their offer came in approximately $4,000 below Edmunds and Kelley Blue Book. When I questioned Brent about why their number was so much lower, he told me that Edmunds and KBB weren't accurate because they aren't actual resellers. Rather than just arguing about it, I contacted two other dealerships and had my truck independently appraised by both of them. Both dealerships came back right around the Edmunds and KBB values. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I then sent Brent both buyer sheets in writing showing that two actual dealerships were valuing my truck approximately $4,000 higher than Midway. That's when the explanation changed[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. After previously telling me their offer was $4,000 lower because Edmunds and KBB aren't resellers, Brent then told me their trade value was lower because Midway was already giving me a $6,250 discount on the new truck. Again, I have these statements in writing. Then there's the $2,559 protection package that they automatically add to the deal and, according to what I was told, is not optional. So let's do the math: Advertised discount: $6,250 Mandatory protection package: +$2,559 Trade approximately $4,000 below two competing dealer offers: +$4,000 Total: $6,559 So between the mandatory protection package and the approximately $4,000 less they were offering for my trade, that's $6,559 -- which is actually MORE than their advertised $6,250 discount. [[HIGHLIGHT]]What bothered me just as much was the way Brent handled my questions. I was considering two different Silverado 2500s at two different prices, and I repeatedly asked him to provide me with a buyer's order for each truck showing the complete out-the-door numbers. Instead, he kept telling me I didn't need both sheets and that I could simply subtract the difference between the prices of the two trucks[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. That's not how the math works. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A lower vehicle purchase price also means lower sales tax, so simply subtracting the difference between the prices of the trucks does not give you the correct out-the-door difference. I shouldn't have to repeatedly explain why I need an actual buyer's order for each vehicle when I'm trying to determine exactly what each truck will cost me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I own a business myself. I understand businesses need to make money, and I have absolutely no problem with a dealership making a reasonable profit. What I do have a problem with is advertising a $6,250 discount, adding a $2,559 non-optional protection package, offering approximately $4,000 less for my trade than two competing dealerships, and then changing the explanation for that lower trade value after I provide documentation proving other dealerships are offering significantly more. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I also don't appreciate being spoken to as though I don't understand basic numbers simply because I'm asking for complete and transparent buyer's orders.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My advice to anyone considering purchasing from Midway Chevy: GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING. Thankfully, I did. Don't get distracted by the advertised discount. Get a complete buyer's order. Look at every fee and add-on. Get your trade independently appraised by other dealerships. Purchasing the vehicle was good; no complaints; however, after the sale and service would almost be funny if it was not money I paid for an paint protection and the worry that no one in service would be competent or would I believe anything they say or do? The day I took the vehicle home, I made an appointment with service for the free oil change and the re-application of the paint protection. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Then a few months ago, I get a verification and I call and tell them it is the wrong date; going back and forth we ended up with the correct date. However, they guy knew nothing about the paint protection. Which one? Who knows.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called for the service manager and naturally, he/she was not available. Talked with someone who was ignorant to the problem so I just cancelled the appointment and called the dealership to talk to a general manager[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Again, not one to be found not even a sales manager. (Amazing how these places work without management. Possibly that is why they are so screwed up it is pathetic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will be contact the Zone manager (believe it is Scott Roberts (aka Brian Scott Roberts....not sure, yet). All I want now is a refund for the paint protection and it is for two reasons. One, not sure it was not just some BS come on I paid for and a second application is never applied, they just have service make it appear a second application was applied, and two; not sure of competency of the service technicians to be able to simply do an oil change correctly. Losing faith in a dealers service department is worse than losing it for the sale department. I can take the vehicle to the local GMC dealer (yes GMC) for the free first oil change with out a problem. However, that is part of the vehicle service from GM and GM pays. The pain is from the dealer. Therefore, I could not recommend this dealer for anything from the purchase to servicing the vehicle. Cannot say of their collision is worthwhile or not. But to be honest, I assure you I would not give them a chance to fix anything on my truck. read more

I took courtesy delivery of my new Corvette through Midway Chevrolet after purchasing the car from an out-of-state dealer. The car was shipped directly from the Chevy factory to Midway for delivery and PDI (pre-delivery inspection). Midway charged me approximately $1,200 for the courtesy delivery process, so I expected a professional experience. Unfortunately, that was not what I received. When I picked up the car, it was nearly out of gas. I was told they would not even top off the tank because I "didn't buy the car from them." On top of that, multiple PDI items were missed and I had to escalate the situation through the selling dealer after delivery to get the issues corrected. This was a $130,000 Corvette, and the overall delivery experience felt careless and disappointing from start to finish. I was able to get an appointment same day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The issue was , I needed a new battery after a diagnostic test was done. The price for a battery was +$420 plus tax. This is what Luis told me. Apparently, prices of things have went up and I have a special kind of battery. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He told me I could wait to see what the issue was for the diagnostic test in case it was the battery so they could do it right away. I already had a ride lined up so I went home.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]About an hour and half later, he called me and told me it was my battery.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I asked about the battery warranty, Luis explained the bumper to bumper warranty only covered up to 36,000 miles. I was at 39,000. I asked about the battery warranty specifically but never found out the answer. Anyway, I agreed to the new battery although I saw batteries for my car cheaper at the auto parts store as low as $179. Windshield wiper $71. Yeah right, I wish I would. Anyway, all that to say , of course the dealership prices are ridiculously high for no reason. Service was great. Prices were poo. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Luis was very nice, called me to update me on my car diagnostic report and of course tried to encourage me to buy the other recommended services. I declined. I had to drop my car off again because this was the only place that could replace this item as it was under warranty. I dropped it off because this Chevy location told me they 100% definitely had the part. I did not call the number that the Chevy employee left on my review because I wanted to see if they had made any changes. Sadly, no changes were made. Chevy held my car for 13 days this time. There was still almost no communication. I called to get updates and they didn't call back any of the times except two - one to tell me that they thought they had the part (which is why I dropped it off) but they had made a mistake and didn't have all the parts so it would take longer, oops. I was disappointed since they had reassured me beforehand that they had all the parts. The second call was to tell me it was ready (again, after I called them like 10 times). They called me about 25 minutes before they closed. I don't say this often and don't typically (ever?) leave 1 star reviews. Truthfully this was a very unpleasant experience and because of that I feel the need to give others a heads up, because maybe it will help you or maybe there's something you can do differently. I was then in contact with our finance guy and upgraded the warranty program so that IF it happened again, everything would be covered. Well My husband had it back for maybe a day, check engine light came back on. When bringing it in for the 2nd time (mind you, haven't even made first months payment yet) and got the rental. My husband used it for the first couple days - The next morning when leaving for work, the rental truck wouldn't start.... Bad battery!! Had to go back and get ANOTHER rental. Most unscrupulous dealership we've ever dealt with. Went in with dryrot rubber door seal on our 2026 Equinox. Waited a week from the time they ordered it until it came in . Went back for warranty replacement and after 5 hours at home received a call from our service rep who now tells us that the manager found dog hair and scratches in the back seat so we would have to pay over $280 and they would put it in. Our car has 5600 miles on it so I told them that I would pick up our car and take it to another Chevy dealer for our warranty work. When we got to the dealership the seal had already been installed and the manager approved the warranty. Typical shakedown. I don't blame the rep I blame the manager that told him to try and get us to pay. I'm calling GM in Michigan on Monday morning to ask them if this is their policy. Then Alex began retaliation against me and refused to honor my trade in if I wanted the deal, BUT.. wait, they said the deal could not be done by their system first. Now it can but without my trade?? I confirmed the vin of the one Black Friday door buster deal and on the truck before test driving with Davin. This dealership is disgusting nonetheless and downright dishonest on every measure. Do not go here. They are frauds, scam, and do not honor their agreements. FYI, as of this morning, the Black Friday ad is still up, but they have removed the truck with the vin from their website. However, I already have the whole thing screen recorded and documented. (all for you Dave) This is not the first time. I tried to purchase a new Trail Boss here years ago. Same story, run around run around run around. Dishonest and unprofessional from start to finish. Salesperson Robert quoted me a specific monthly payment over the phone and said the credit app would be ready so I could "sign and drive." I drove an hour with my 2-year-old to the dealership, only to find Robert wasn't there, the car wasn't ready, and no paperwork had been started. The sales manager then claimed the quoted price was impossible, and only after escalating all the way to General Sales Manager Isiah did they reluctantly honor it. Now, just one month later, the clear bra is already peeling and bubbling. When I called to have it fixed, they refused, saying they couldn't help because I had moved out of state -- even though they knew that when they mailed my plates. I took the car in for a simple oil change, and they suddenly diagnosed a leak. They scheduled me to drop it off for repairs, but it took them six days just to run a diagnostic--and I had to pay $200 for that! Then, to make things worse, they told me the repair isn't even covered under the warranty I bought, and it's going to cost me $2,300 on top of that diagnostic fee. The company keeps going under because the general manager isn't doing anything to invest money back into the business. Instead, he just keeps cutting employees' pay to boost profits. After an absolutely horrible experience at Sands Chevrolet (see my Sands Chevrolet review) I called Midway Chevrolet. I spoke with Jacob, my salesman, and he ordered the exact Silverado that I wanted. He ended up changing the order from a 2025 Silverado to a 2026 Silverado. It was delivered to the dealership yesterday. I negotiated a great deal with Jacob and purchased a protection/service plan with Sam. Poor communication, dishonest. I never purchase extended warranties because I have heard too many horror stories. For whatever reason I had a weak moment when I purchased my 2021 Silverado Trail Boss brand new at Midway Chevrolet. Big mistake. I recently noticed shuttering and hesitation while accelerating in my truck. Quick research showed that there have been many issues with my truck model's transmission. When I called to schedule service, the service writer advised me that I just went over my platinum warranty by 400 miles. (75,000 miles, I thought I had 100,000) He recommended that I call the warranty department to purchase an extension before I bring it in which I did. The gentleman on the phone gladly took my $2000 over the phone and explained my warranty was effective immediately. When I brought the truck in the next week, I did not hear anything for 5 days until I decided to call in. My service writer explained to me that my truck was not covered under warranty because I had to wait 45 days and to put 1500 more miles on my truck before it was affected. I explained that was ridiculous if there are issues with the transmission why would I drive it 1500 more miles possibly causing more damage? This also would indicate that I purchased a 10.5 month and 10,500 mile warranty unlike the 12 month 12,000 mile warranty stated in the contract. What I learned was this grace period protects the warranty company from the dealership making shady deals. After two weeks of back and forth and no work being done to my truck, I have been advised that the repair will likely be declined by the warranty department and that I will need to pay for it out of my own pocket. But the good news is, I should be covered after I pay out of my own pocket. The dealership has ruled this is a pre existing issue but not pre existing enough to be covered in the original warranty that I am 400 miles outside of. Unfortunately it must have happened perfectly in between coverage. The warranty department actually asked if I would be interested in coming in to purchase a new truck. These people will do anything to get more money from you and nothing to help you. It has been two weeks of poor communication and explanations that I am the dishonest person here because I had the gall to purchase a warranty extension understanding I might have issues even though I did at the recommendation of their own service department. It was also explained that the warranty department should have never sold me the warranty extension over the phone without an inspection. But they did and took my money. And by the way, they will not do an inspection until you are out of warranty because they do not want to find an issue that they might have to cover under original warranty. Reading the rest of these reviews is not surprising. This is frustrating as I have made extra effort to buy American made vehicles to support our economy and the American auto industry. Unfortunately these experiences have not matched the level of service elsewhere with non-American vehicles. I have purchased over $5,000 in warranties and never used it. (Other than a very early issue with valves that would have been covered under the original power train warranty regardless). The truck has been a huge disappointment but this dealership is the biggest disappointment. I have not been to Midway for service in over two years and I suddenly remember why. read more

These people will lie to your face and shake your hand. They will change the price of their cars on the window, make you stay long hours were your tired and hungry. To the point that you just are ready to go out the door and then they shove paper work in-front of you and not fully explain it rushing you through the process in hopes you make a mistake. Out right evil. They take advantage of first time buyers. They do not care about you, they cut corners and are sketchy. They call you a friend and steal from your pocket. If I could give zero stars I would. My husband was emailing one of their sales associates, Valerie, about a used car we were interested in buying. She told him she'd have the car ready for us the next day and she'd be there to show it. We showed up and Valerie wasn't even there. They gave us another associate named Gavin who was very kind and took us over to see the car in their used lot. We got there and the car wasn't there. Gavin drove us to another lot 15 minutes away and there was still no car, apparently it was sold. While we were on the drive back the dealership called my husband to ask if we were still coming in, mind you we were literally with one of their sales associates. They clearly have a communication problem here. When we returned Gavin did a great job trying to find us a car we'd be interested in within our price range. We asked if we could fill up our gas since we made the trip from Chandler to see this car they apparently didn't have, and they told us their chevron was down. My husband asked to speak with their manager to say how upset he was and the manager told him, if your mad then leave. He clearly didn't care that our time was wasted all thanks to whoever Valerie is. The manager and this dealership deserve 0 stars for customer service but Gavin deserves 5 stars he was great at trying to help us through the whole predicament and we really appreciated him. read more

Issues with a light recall with Liberty GMC who had my vehicle twice and were unable to complete the recall and multiple follow ups to attempt to find a reason. This led me to look elsewhere Devon Edwards 5/5 got it handled within days and communicated clearly and effectively. read more

Took my car there for a stutter/missfire. They emailed me a $1300 estimate three days later with no explanation as to what they found. When I declined to spend $1001 to change my spark plugs and wires, they said I owed a $195 diagnostic fee. $195! These guys earn the label "stealership"! read more

Only because the salespeople were nice, do they get a 1. We travel 45 minutes to first be told that they "think" the car was sold, that we came up for. She said they were busy all day, ...ok fine...but she didn't bother looking it up in the inventory. She thinks it was sold. So as we drive out, we notice across the street is an extension of their business. Lo and behold, the car is there. Not sold. Talked to a kid who took about 30 min to come out and see us. He was very nice, but they wanted quite a bit out the door. For a car with many visible bumps and scratches. He said that's what the boss wants. Great sales there. How are they training these kids nowadays? Didn't even bother to try and interest us in something else. I feel like all of that is a common trend. C'mon you guys, do better. read more

100% bait and switch sales team.. Don't fall for it! If I could give 0 stars I would. We bought from midway 3 years ago. During the buying process, sales associate was nice, polite. The minute sales went through, I was ghosted. Basically any questions I had went unanswered. Fast forward 3 years we are looking into buying another vehicle from them. We were communicating over text b/c we live an hour and a half away. They were negotiating with my husband and was able to get payment down within range of what we wanted. My husband shows up, test drives the vehicle to be told there was an accounting issue and the payment was what it was going to be initially. What a complete waste of our time. Will never buy from them again. read more

Charged my warranty $724.69 for a repair that was never done. Went to Midway Chevrolet and dealt with Kevin Burgos. They billed my Endurance Warranty Services on March 27 for a washer reservoir replacement. I never signed anything. Never paid a deductible. Never approved any charges. My car is still leaking from the same spot. I have photos. There's a $74.29 charge under my name that I never paid. I contacted the manager at Midway, and once he looked my vehicle up in the system, he told me the records showed the washer had already been replaced. He told me to bring the vehicle in so someone could look at what was fixed. Once I arrived, Kevin immediately started saying it could be the windshield washer pump leaking, but they were not even sure whether the leak was coming from the pump or the reservoir after they had already been paid for the repair. I told Kevin I had already taken my vehicle to another dealership and was informed the washer reservoir had never been replaced. Kevin then attempted to submit another warranty claim after the original repair had already been paid. At that point, it felt like they were trying to cover up work that was never completed. Kevin had my car for four days with no AC diagnosis. I called ahead to pick it up. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He had me and my kids waiting outside, said he was bringing my keys, never showed up, then called back saying my car was "not put together."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now I still have to take my car back to get it fixed under warranty. I will be filing complaints with the Arizona Attorney General and BBB. Do not work with Kevin Burgos if you value your car or your warranty. read more
