These ladies are beyond amazing! They are so sweet and patient with everyone. They have beautiful, amazing custom donuts out fresh every morning, whether it's for a holiday or just something fun for the kids, like a spider man donut or Cookie Monster. I believe they also do specialty orders if you call ahead of time. My favorite thing to get is the Jalapeño kolache, soooo good, nice and spicy! My newfound favorite though is the cinnamon roll donut holes. I didn't know such a thing existed and it's the perfect pick me up with a cold bottle of chocolate milk. They have tons of drink selections here from hot chocolate, to Red Bull, Gatorade and many other things. Great food, when it's made well. The quality is variable which is annoying. I LOVE their sausage croissants which are buttery and flaky... but then some days they are dry and dense. Also I've been charged different prices despite getting the same items. Hard to say how much I'm getting charged as the prices are not accurately written or displayed anywhere. The receipt just has a grand total. You can gauge prices off of Door Dash & Grub Hub for delivery but actually these prices are about 10-20 cents more than if you were to pick up in person. This place has been mine and my friends favorite place for years now! Recently we used them for baby shower donuts and they didn't disappoint. The theme was "Berry Sweet Baby" with strawberries and the donuts came out so cute, they were the hit of the whole party. They are always so kind and normally throw in a extra donut here and there. I have an extremely bad habit of not writing reviews even while using reviews to decide what to buy or where to eat. I know I'm not alone in this (you all know who you are...). So I'm going to start with a review about this place. This morning, on a whim, I decided to order donuts through UberEats and I chose this place because the pricing was attractive. A lot of places on the app I found gouge the prices (up to 25%!!!!) and here I found it was quite reasonable. I ordered the mixed dozen ($13.99), 2 jalapeno croissant sausage rolls (2x $1.89), 2 chocolate eclairs (2x 1.49), and a filled lemon and raspberry donut ($1.39 each). The mixed dozen was amazing. There was a good variety. I love red velvet flavored things, and I saw they had a red velvet cake donut. However, I was curious if I didn't buy one separately (I believe it was $1.29?) and I put in the special requests that I wanted one, would they put one in the box? I was very pleasantly surprised to see that they not only put one, but two! I'm not sure if that was on purpose, but if it was (and judging by the reviews already here I'm going to say it was), then that is extremely good service and you can color me impressed. I didn't get a chance to try the sausage rolls, but they definitely looked the part! They were very soft and fluffy inside while crispy on the outside and looked just as good as you'd expect a croissant to be. I tried the filled donuts. There were so many things here that were great. First of all, the dough is exceptional. Sometimes when you fry dough like you do in donuts, the dough can feel heavy and greasy. Not here though, it feels very light and airy and definitely doesn't taste of grease. Another thing that hit me too was the sheer size of the filled circle donuts. They're must be at least 4 inches across! Being used to the smaller ones, this was a very nice surprise for me. I tried the chocolate eclair first, and it was exceptional. Again, there was the light dough, but what made this donut exceptional was the amount of filling inside. It was literally almost end to end. That's what a donut should be, but unfortunately a lot of places cut corners and don't give you filling until you're like almost half-way through. That's not the case here. There was so much filling that the bottom of the donut started to bend after the first bite. I had to wrap my hand around the bottom to make sure it wouldn't burst open! And the Bavarian cream filling was great too. Thick and sweet just like it should be. The raspberry filled donut was great too. The difference here is that it's only filled near the middle. Now while that may sound disappointing, you immediately figure out why once you bite into the jam portion. It's not like it's in a thin layer: it was a pretty sizeable ball of jam in the middle. It's such an overpowering flavor that you need a good amount of dough to balance it out. Because the dough itself is not sweet and the glaze is not heavy, this means you have to fill it closer to the middle. I'm really glad they did it this way, because if they did it like some other places do and you immediately get a bite of jelly near the edge, it would've killed the donut and made it just taste like only raspberry jam by itself. Overall, my conclusion is that these donuts are dangerous. Why you ask? Because they're not overly sweet, they're light, and they taste really good. Finishing the two filled ones was far too easy for me, and I definitely could've polished off a third or maybe even a fourth if I really had no self-control. That never happens at a lot of other donuts shops. The reviews don't lie. You have to try the donuts here, especially now during these hard times for small, local businesses. They've definitely earned my repeat business and I will be looking to them in the near future if I am in need of some good donuts for an affordable price. read more

First time trying Midway Donuts and I am very unimpressed. I got lemon, coffee, and Bavarian crème filled donuts. The coffee was clearly made with instant coffee and was so strong I couldn't eat it. I love coffee and drink dark roast black most of the time and that filling was disgusting. The lemon filling was definitely made with artificial flavoring. The lemon was more tart than a bag of sour patch kids. I again couldn't even eat it. The Bavarian crème was just gross. I'm not entirely sure that the crème wasn't just instant vanilla pudding squeezed in the donut. I would not recommend this place. read more

I had been noticing how busy this donut place was when we would go to Toastys for breakfast, so I thought I would check it out today. The good thing is they do have a large selection to choose from. I wanted to try a variety so I got a red velvet cake iced donut, chocolate iced donut holes, a maple iced donut and ordered a ham and cheese croissant and a bottle Coke. It came to 13.19. They messed up my ham and cheese croissant and instead it was a egg and cheese croissant. I did not call or go back to complain. The donuts were good but pretty much nothing special or I should say I could have gone to a much closer shop and this same quality. I contacted Midway Donut and Kolache shop about delivering HAPPY BIRTHDAY donuts to my daughter, who is a 1st grade teacher in a Dallas Area school. From the moment I contacted the shop, they were so kind and helpful. My request was out of the ordinary for their shop and the addition of needing them delivered complicated the order even more. However, the owner took charge and figured out a way to make it happen. She even called me they day of the scheduled delivery to let me know the delivery driver had not contacted them, so she would be delivering them herself. They have a RED VELVET cake doughnut that is absolutely fantastic, plus they have apple fritters in three sizes even a super cute apple fritter doughnut hole size.
