The fall out fries were the move over the regular fries. The serving size was enough for 2 people. The side salad was run-of-the-mill. I ordered a medium rare, 1/2 lb bison burger on a brioche bun with aged white cheddar, caramelized onions, and bourbon ketchup. It ending up being rare instead of medium rare, and had fried (crispy) onions instead of caramelized. My wife crafted her own mac and cheese. After confirming the "chicken bites" were fried, she ordered a bowl of mac with those, onions, cheddar, and velveeta. The chicken appeared to be grilled rather than fried, and the mac itself lacked any flavor. Considering the mac was $21, we definitely wouldn't order it again. To say the least, I wasn't surprised to hear World's End closed. Had it not, I would have given it another chance.

Also, we ordered a full order of onion rings but only got a "half order" because "this was the last of them." He did only charge us for a half order thankfully. It was around 4pm so we were confused as to why so much of their food had run out. The service was really friendly but the let down of the food was really really dissatisfying. The Mac and cheese was a really good portion and the food we got was good. There were a ton of games alongside the windowsill in case you want to play. It was such a nice touch. There was a pirate vibe which fit the name really well. They do flights and had a great variety of mixed drinks. For a night out, this place would be good! There's no automatic doors however there are no steps required to enter this place. There's two handicap spaces.

This isn't slow like - just relax - you're here with friends - it's slow like - is anyone ever going to take our order, bring us a drink or bring us our food? It's pretty irritating to sit at a table with nothing on it and wait for anyone to come by and ask us what we want to drink. Then when we finally did order a drink - (waters, beers, pops & coffees), where are they and where is she? Finally she returns with drinks - disappears again. Everyone is getting mad - we just want to order some food. Once our food order is placed we wait again a lot more. The food came out in shifts - poor kitchen management? I don't know. I ordered the Southwest Eggrolls that sounded delicious, but when they finally showed up they were undercooked and awful. I was finally able to send them back and the waitress promised they'd be cooked some more. In the meantime food was slowly coming out. One of the guests meal literally came after everyone was finally done eating - not kidding. Poor guy sat there and watched all of us eat - he was a saint. Waitress kept promising it was 'almost ready'. My eggrolls came back out - still not good. I just decided not to eat them. No one was happy when we left. This is my second try here, I won't be back. Several others commented that this place is always slow - so I think they won't be back either. They just lost 10 diners.

Updated: Read the ending. I had to re-edit this in real time. They flipped the script. Bravo!…read more ORIGINAL REVIEW: I hate writing negative reviews, but it is the only way to get management's attention these days. After a long day working an event, I stopped into the local Big Boy hoping for something simple and reliable -- the salad bar and a decent sandwich. Unfortunately, neither of those expectations were met. First disappointment: the salad bar was closed. That was the main reason for stopping in. The bigger issue, however, was the atmosphere and service. The restaurant was practically empty, and it quickly became clear why. The waitstaff looked like they were more interested in getting out the door than taking care of the few customers who actually showed up. Service felt rushed, curt, and distracted while they focused on side work and closing tasks rather than hospitality. Then came the kicker: a server came to the table and casually informed us they didn't have cheese for the sandwiches. At that point, it's hard not to wonder how a restaurant runs out of something as basic as cheese. Between the closed salad bar, missing ingredients, and staff that clearly wanted the night to end more than they wanted to serve guests, the whole experience felt like customers were an inconvenience. When a restaurant looks empty from the parking lot, experiences like this explain exactly why. This kind of "we're already closed in spirit" attitude toward paying customers is unacceptable. If you're open, then operate like you're open -- otherwise lock the doors and call it a night. **UPDATE: Manager came and checked up on us. Ordered an hot fudge ice cream cake. They hooked it up. Service improved immediately after this initial post. **UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: They comped us the dessert... flipped the script. We left happy and full. Well played Big Boy.

We ordered the tortilla soup, the Big Boy, and a brownie sundae. Everything was decent--nothing bad, but very average overall. Our waitress was friendly and kind, but she went missing several times throughout the meal, which made service feel a bit inconsistent. While it was an okay experience for the price and fun for the memories, it's not somewhere we'd plan to frequent. Still, if you're craving nostalgia and a straightforward meal, it gets the job done.
