I placed an order online for them yesterday for sliders. I placed the order while on the way there. I was told that it would be ready in about 15 minutes. I walked in before the order was expected to be ready but when I gave the lady my name it was ready she grabbed it off the shelf. I appreciate not having to wait long but I would've appreciated hot food more. I tried a burger as soon as I got back on the car and it was not hot at all. The estimated time given was way off and I hope they can figure out how to manage having the food ready closer to the time given. Quite disappointed with my experience at Savvy Sliders. We repeated our order twice to make sure it was correct, and unfortunately it was still made wrong. Some of the sliders were supposed to be customized, and those were also prepared incorrectly. I specifically asked for all 12 sliders to be well done, but they were not cooked that way. After repeating the order and the customizations more than once, it was frustrating to still receive the order incorrectly. The fries and onion rings were amazing and definitely the highlight of the meal, but the main part of the order--the sliders--was disappointing. Overall, it was a frustrating experience, and because of the repeated mistakes, I don't see myself returning to this location. read more

I love a good burger or slider, and I'm always on the hunt for new stuff to try. I noticed Savvy Sliders popping up around town and was very eager to try them. I know they have a few different locations, but I came to this one since it's closest to the boyfriends home. Walking in, the place is clean and pretty well organized. The menu is on a TV screen above the registers where you place your order. They have 10 different "box combos" for you to choose from, and all of them looked pretty darn good. We scoured the menu and I ended up getting box #1 which was 2 sliders with fries and a drink for $9.99. Boyfriend got the sirloin burgers and a drink as well, and we were given a number to wait for our order to be delivered to our table. They have a few add on's here to your order that you can get for a slight up charge. One was fried egg, which I wanted but I passed this time since I didn't feel like it. I also got the option of ranch dressing on the burgers, and let me tell you, IT WAS DELICIOUS. I also got a little ranch on the side to dip my burger and fries in (along with ketchup) and it was so dang tasty folks! Boyfriend loved his sirloin burger and we both were really happy. The place was well staffed and our order was taken quickly along with food being delivered. There was an older gentleman who circled the place to check on us (along with other patrons who were dining in) to make sure we had everything we needed and if the food was okay. We liked the extra touch. So, why 4 stars? The food and menu selection was awesome, but there were no condiments at the table. No extra napkins, salt, ketchup or anything. Most places have put this stuff back out, so I don't know what the deal was. I wanted some salt for my fries and the girl had to run to the back to get me some. Or there could have been a general counter for that sort of thing if you don't want to put it on the table. If it was out, it was no where to be seen, and trust me, we looked. Also, there was some melted ice on the floor we noticed coming in and out, and it could have been cleaned up. Was it bad? No. but it was kind of annoying. I did an online order today before work. Now I normally don't order online because I like to make sure everything is Cook fresh. I trusted that it would be. Well it wasn't. Before I even made it home i open the box for a some fries not surprisingly it was old I called to make a complaint and the employee said they would remake them. As I look closer I noticed that the fish sandwiches was as so old/refried. Upon arriving back at the store I had decided that I just wanted a refund. Well the young lady at the front stated to me that being that I ordered from the app that she would have to give me corporate number for my refund and would that be ok. Well no corporate didn't sell me old food and corporate is not the one with my money. As much as I love the food I'm done with savvy Dave will be getting my business from now on. This is not the first time I was sold old/refried food by this store. This really just have me moving forward with cooking at home and not eating out at all. These restaurants since Covid and all of the new digital apps have become horrible. Did a carry out. They got one out of four sliders right. Ordered 2 Mediterranean minus tomato and pickle got two spicy grilled instead. They were to spicy for my wife to eat. I ordered the Savvy classic minus pickle and tomato, what I got was lettuce and tomato. The fried chicken they got right. Ordered onion rings also. The onion rings were good. My wife called talked to a manager he apologized profusely. He told us next visit he would rectify. The two sliders I had were of good quality the burger was cooked properly. The chicken was crisp and not greasy. We will give them another try because they are new. read more

Today was my least pleasant experience at this new restaurant. The staff were very unorganized with one employee attempting to deliver the incorrect meal to my table 2 different time. After a 18 minute wait I asked about my meal. I was told "we called your name but you weren't here". I didn't leave my location directly in front of the drink station the entire 20 minutes I was in the store. There were other upset customers as well. When I was given my meal it was still hot so I can't complain about that. It tasted as good as it always does! The food is excellent and when the owner is onsite everything runs smooth. No issues at all. Today she was not and the inexperience of the staff definitely showed. They were poorly organized and lacked leadership. Had this been my first visit, I definitely would not be back but...since I have been here several times previous and hadn't had any problems at all I'll come again. I know they can do better because I have experienced so much better than today. They do have the best onion rings and chicken sliders I have ever had. Tried this place for the first time tonight. We tried a box 1 and a box 2. Which is basically the burger slider and the chicken slider. The burger slider was definitely the better of the two. Although the chicken wasn't horrible or anything. It's just that the burger had an overall better taste and you could tell was fresh ground beef. It had a sweet kick to it as well. Ok here we go I got the original box with two beef patty's and I added bacon and an egg on both the patties were unseasoned and dry nothing tasted fresh. Refreshing to see a nice take on sliders. Buns are nice and toasted on a flat top it seems. Burgers were juicy and chicken was cooked perfectly! Love finding new places still opening up around my part of town during these times of the pandemic. Fries were nice and crispy while still fluffy in the middle. House seasoning I would recommend for these guys. Nice open dining room for this little place makes it easy to enjoy your food as well as have a nice conversation if you're out to lunch with a friend. They also have a bar available if you're in the mood to watch a game on their tv and enjoy a few drinks. All in all this isn't a half bad place. The food is just a liiiiitle pricy but honestly the quality is there making it one of the reasons I will be coming back and recommending my friends and family to try. read more

My co-worker referred me to this restaurant last week, as she told me that she tried it out with other co-workers, and everyone absolutely raved about the sliders! I checked out the menu online, and quickly remembered passing this restaurant all the time when I drive down Groesbeck, when it wasn't opened at the time. So I was excited to check it out! I went yesterday evening, and I had thoughts to try the Falafel and Mediterranean Slider, but I changed my mind and ordered the Box 1 - Angus Beef w/ cheese Sliders. There wasn't a wait, and the staff were nice! My only gripe related to staff, is that one of the cashiers had her masked pulled all the way down under her chin. I didn't think that was appropriate. Once I arrived home, I was pleasantly surprised! The Sliders were good, cooked to my liking, and very seasoned! The fries were ok. I would definitely like to go back and try different Sliders! Tried the original combo... Let's start with the good.. crinkle cut fries with house seasoning were pretty solid. Unfortunately that was the only thing seasoned on that day. Burger was bland and dry, zero attempt at salt or pepper, not particularly well seared and dripping with albumin. Even the caramelized onions were bland. The worst problem however, was the bun... cloyingly sweet and dense as fruitcake, so much cold bland dough that no amount of condiments could moisten ones mouth. 0/10, will not return. read more

This is the second time that we've been to savvy sliders. The first time we were blown away and absolutely loved everything. Unfortunately, we did not have the same experience this time around. We ordered online, the order took a very long time. When we did finally get it, the fries were not very hot and the spice mixture wasn't really sticking to the fries and was way too salty. The falafel sliders that we absolutely went crazy for the first time were entirely overcooked, almost to the point of being inedible. The only thing that saved them was the toppings. Sliders were not hot either. We were not late to pick up the order, we sat and waited for it, 30 minutes. If we weren't so hungry and exhausted and hadn't already started driving home, we probably would've gone back in and said something. Bummer. read more

I've been here twice now and the food is underwhelming. I've had both their chicken strips and their sliders. The sliders were just average sliders, nothing special about them. The chicken strips were not good. It's not that it was prepared wrong or anything, I just dislike their chicken strip recipe. The food is also a bit pricey at $10/meal which only includes 2 sliders. The wait was also very long at ~30 minutes after placing my order both times. Ironically what I like most about this restaurant is not the food. The atmosphere is kind of neat, the building looks like a repurposed garage with large bay doors as windows. It is a carryout style restaurant, where you order at the counter. There is indoor dining available but no table service. They also serve alcohol and have lots of TVs too so it might be a nice place to enjoy sports. Overall it's not horrible and I would come back if my friends wanted to go there, but personally I would choose a different restaurant. read more

The food is ok but with the distance I have to drive to get there I am not taking back my food. Perhaps next time they'll let me in the back to hold the food preparers hand so they get my order right. I got a carry out from Savvy sliders yesterday, and I was very impressed. Definitely not your average slider joint. I had the Mediterranean sliders and the grilled chicken, the Mediterranean sliders had an amazing garlic sauce, and the chicken had a nice kick. The staff was incredibly friendly, I ordered ahead of time online and the food was ready in what felt like 5 minutes. I highly recommend stopping by if you want some great tasting sliders. Delicious sliders and interesting variety. I had the swap combo thingy where you can pick two different sliders, and I picked the spicy chicken and a traditional burger. Both were excellent, not greasy, and great flavor; I loved the spicy onions mixture on the chicken slider. Fries are banging (yummy amazing crinkle cut fries!), they have liquor and beer too. My only minor complaint: price. It's on the upper end of lunch fare, I think I paid $13 for 2 slider combo. In comparison, I can get a sack of 5 Travis burgers for $6.99. Or a 6" subway for $3.99. My gf doesn't like onions and lettuce so we asked the man if two of the sliders could be made with no lettuce, and the clerk told us all of the sliders had to be made the same......? He wouldn't even look at us too which was kinda weird. And why do the sliders have to be half and half? This place here on Groesbeck is horrible you have to asked for fresh everything and there's no guarantee they will do it. Went there today and asked for freshly dropped fries not only was the fries not freshly dropped the tenders was also old. After she took that container back over the countertop to the back I knew I was asking for a refund. She not only took food that was taken out of the store back over the counter to back she tried to give the same strips. This place is not one I would recommend. Now I paid with a debit card. They refused to give me my refund in debit which means I have to wait on my money to be returned to me. Also the young lady stated that she know her job well once she took that food back in the kitchen the health department would agree that she don't. I will never go here again and I would advise others not to either. They probably will put that dried out tenders in someone else box. read more

Brand new place that recently opened. Had their chicken, burger and Mediterranean sliders and all was very good. I would highly recommend the chicken sliders as they have a very good crispy breading. Their crinkle cut fries are some of the best I have had as they were not soggy and nice and crispy. They have Pepsi products as well as their own lemonade and a brand of sodas I haven't heard of before but they were very tasty. This place has TVs to watch sports and serve beer on tap as well as some spirits that I could see. read more

We've already been here 3 times since their opening back on September 17th. We went on opening day and enjoyed all of the sliders we had (homestyle fried chicken, and angus beef), plus some fries. We came in a few days later to order more sliders, sweet potato fries, and a cheesecake. The kebab and grilled mediterranean chicken were our favorites so far! The fries both times were pretty soft and could have used more time in the fryer. Tonight we ordered a third time and the sweet potato fries were out of this world perfect! Perfectly fried - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The savvy sauce is delicious and a little spicy (like a spicy sriracha mayo). My husband cannot get enough of the mediterranean kebab slider. We love this place and the owner has always been super nice each time we've gone in! read more
