I've read some bad and good reviews, I have not experienced the rudeness . I've been with them since first part of 2019, I do think the rates are high, regardless of your credit history. I've never went past the "After this date/Pay this amount". I pay faithfully and pay extra at times. I am not currently a customer of Midwest Acceptance Corp. however; i was a in the past (when I purchased my Camry). Today, I contacted MAC to get info about % rates & before calling I noticed some of the negative reviews that have been given & was pretty surprised by them. I have never been treated rudely by anyone at this company, but like I said that was awhile back when I was a customer (even requested to use them when purchasing my last car @ major dealership; but could not) & I am sorry to the folks that have had negative interactions. I just wanted to say that I felt I should give this review today because we are always willing to give negative feedback, but don't always take the time to give positive feedback...with that being said: 'Jason Cook' was the one who answered my call & he was very professional, polite, & helpful. He answered my questions thoroughly & even gave me some very good advice on what i was calling about. YELP advertised a service that MAC does not even provide & instead of just saying "No we don't do that." he took the time to give good sound advice on a better route to take than what I was asking about. My mom has a car financed through Midwest Acceptance, and I am her co-signer. This company is the most UNPROFESSIONAL company that I've ever dealt with. Last week I wrote them an email requesting their assistance with our account, and my mom called them and left a voicemail. Both our inquiries went unanswered. When I called the company the following day, the receptionist transferred my call to a man that answered the phone and instantly said, "WE CAN'T HELP YOU." No 'good morning,' no 'hello, this is ___ may I help you?' or anything. Just flat out rude and disrespectful. (We called the Valley Park location) As much as my mom is paying for her car, you'd expect this company to treat their customers with a little more respect. My mom owes less than 5k on her car, and I'll be happy when she pays it in full and no longer has to deal with Midwest Acceptance. If I ever was to total my car and be in dire need of another one, I'd rather walk the whole 15 miles to work to and from, than take a loan with this company. I'd rather chop off my left arm. I'd rather be eaten by a bear. I'd rather die in a firey plane crash. Apparently, you need less credentials to work there than McDonalds. You people ought to be ashamed of your work ethic. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars then it would be more appropriate. This place will guaranteed finance you, but at 30%!!! I really don't know these people live with their selves doing this to people. I have called and called about questions and simple things and each and every time I am met with some angry lady on the phone who always has an attitude and I am left apologizing for even asking in the first place. They are super rude, especially Jan Smith who called my insurance company a bunch of liars and tried to convince me that my coverage was no good. (what part of insurance company does she work for? Oh wait, she doesn't shes a BANKER and should not be meddling with my business, much less judging it) I called back again to try to talk to a supervisor, again I was met with another rude ass person on the phone that told me that they have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE help and only have collectors. It really is true, once you sign your name on that loan, they don't give a rats ass about anything but getting that inflated loan and sucking you in as hard as they can. I can't say enough bad things about this place, and I hope the next individual that is on the edge of getting a loan here will find this and the previous review and see how terrible of an idea getting a loan here is. I wish I could give this place no stars too! I had a situation back at the end of 2005. I needed a car, bad. I went into Regency Auto sales in Overland, MO to find that they offered acceptance to everyone. With my credit struggles I was hyped to see that I was approved. I picked a van out of the 3 they had, one had a missing row of seats, one had a cracked windsheild, and one had ducktape on the engine. Good choices huh? I was then asking why I couldn't choose another vehicle on the lot that was the same or less than the ones they were giving me. This is when they told me I only qualified for Midwest's "program vehicle" program to help me establish my credit. I chose the one with the ducktape as I had children and needed all the seats and knew that safety would never pass a cracked windsheild like it had. When I went to sign the papers I asked the price of the vehicle and my interest rate. They told me they couldn't tell me that until I had agreed to purchase the vehicle because midwest didn't want to waste time. Dirty, dirty, dirty. After threatening to walk away the sales guy actually said to me "what other choice do you have? You take one of these cars or you get nothing". I was young and stupid. I listened. I signed my life away and still they wouldn't tell me interest or car payment. Finally after leaving with the vehicle and looking at my paperwork I found my interest rate was damn near 30% and I was financing $8,000. This made my payment over $330. really?!? I made on time payments for over a year and decided that after 14 months I should qualify to refinance. WRONG. They wouldn't. At this point the "program" vehicle was crapping out and wouldn't run. I needed a new car but they wouldn't finance me or help me out other than putting me upside down and offering another "program" vehicle. P.S. - The "program" vehicle is just a fancy way of referring to a previous repossession. Yes folks, a repo. They were still going after the previous owners (it was thru their company) and collecting money AND now they are re-selling the vehicle at a crazy high price and interest and collecting it from you too! Anyway, to get to the point I lost my job. I called them after making 18 monthly on time payments and asked them to repo the vehicle or refinance to lower the payment while I looked for work. They refused. They said they cannot repo a vehicle with that high of miles (more than 100,000) but when I bought the vehicle it had 125,000!!! So I was stuck and wound up junking the van for $300. I have since been dealing with a judgement for the money and now have ANOTHER credit challenge. This is something they were supposed to HELP me with. They aren't interested in helping, only collecting that money! Not to mention, anytime I had to call to make my payment customer service was horrible. I was talked to rudely. I was told I didn't have insurance when I did. I was told by my agent that they called and harrassed them to up the coverage even though I was already paying over $100 per month for full coverage that was more than state minimum. BEWARE AND STAY AWAY. There are so many other places that will finance you at a resonable rate that have much better customer service! read more

This is the worse possible company to get an auto loan through. All of their representatives talk to you rude and condesending. They do not have any customer service skills. I talked to some guy supposingly a supervisor named "George". He had me on speaker phone which I had to tell him was inappropriate, he even had the nerve to tell me I had to deal with their company, as if they are the only auto loan company. This is really the worst place ever. You can't ever get anyone on the phone, but when they want to get a hold of you they blow up your phone with calls back to back. I tried to pay my car loan off early and they hit me with penalties. Now my payment is normally $334 and some change so i give them $335, now when i sent one check for just $300 as i was short on cash they told me that i was $46 behind, now how does that even work when i give them just a little extra every month. read more

In opposition to the previous reviews of Midwest Acceptance Corp, I have no complaints of this company. I have had my loan for a little over a year now~no problems at all. I was in need of a vehicle, but I had bad credit. The interest may be a little high; however, when you have no options... I must say when I was approved for financing from Midwest Acceptance I was very happy, but I had know idea what I was getting into. This company is the most rudest and despicable company I have ever dealt with. I like so many people I have had to deal with the financial stress of this recession. Midwest Acceptance will call and leave incomplete messages and when you return the call to get the rest of the message they treat you as though you're trying to hide from them. HOW RUDE.
