I don't normally write reviews but this called for it. I came here to get some solution regarding stretch mark, I was getting very self conscience about it so I came here to get a consultation. I was told that microneedling and prp would help reduce the stretch mark, I decided to go for it. It all went downhill from here. I came in for my appt. after work and they were running behind, I waited for almost an hour, fine with me. Then I was finally taken in the room and I showed her which areas I wanted to get done and she proceeded to tell me "oh that's a big area, I won't be able to get everything done today, can you come back tomorrow for the rest?" I said that's fine. Then we proceeded to get my blood drawn and she added numbing cream to the area but of course.... she was running out of numbing cream so she barely put any. She leaves the room while we wait for the numbing cream to kick in but then I waited for almost an hour cause she was still trying to take care of another patient, she kept apologizing and kept saying she doesn't understand why the front desk only books for X amount of time for these kind of session. When she finally came back to do the microneedling, she warned me it was going to be prickling... fine but then she also kept going over the same area because she wanted "to go deeper to get the most out of it"... I was in pain but I held it in because I trusted her.... she kept going over the area MULTIPLE TIMES!!!! I left there in so much pain and couldn't shower for days... I paid a pretty good amount for the session, came back the following day to another esthetician and paid for "another session" even though my first session wasn't done. I told the front desk but I didn't want to argue with them and was just glad that something can be done with the stretch mark. The second session was much less invasive and the healing process took no more than 3 days. The first session was still no where close to healing after 3 days... all in all it took almost a month for it heal. It took almost a whole week before I could shower normally and tolerate the pain from the wound. I was told that I would need a series of this process and should wait 4-6 weeks to come back. I was also told the healing process would take no longer than a week... true for the second session but completely false for the first session. For almost the entire month I was in pain but I thought it was normal because she had done it deeper, nor did she tell me to put anything on it to help with the healing process. Fast forward to 6-8 weeks later, I started getting hyperpigmentation... it was done wayyyy to deep that it damaged my skin. I called them and sent them pictures about it and I was told... "it may have been because I was stress" I ended up going to another place asking about it and the doctor told me that they should have been more careful as this area is sensitive and that they had damaged my skin due to the fact that they went too deep. I was given a hyperpigmentation bar to use and a cream to help with this but I've been even more self conscious about my legs than I ever was before. It's summer and I've not worn shorts or any type of clothing that would show my legs... I tried to come back but my schedule was getting pretty hectic and then when I was finally able to make an appointment it got rescheduled because the doctor was going to be out at which point I just gave up because I don't think they would have been able to help me, I was really curious to see what they would have said but I don't think they would have done anything.. they were no where near apologetic about what happened nor where they trying to help out. Now I'm down almost $600 only to leave with even worse feeling than before. Long story short, don't come here to get anything done for your skin otherwise you'll just walk away with worse skin than before and $$$ money short. Worst money I've ever spent!!!!!!!!!! I highly discourage anyone that has a serious problem or concern to NOT go to this doctor or office. I specifically mean Dr.Dymitriv. People think about it for a second..... use your brains. When you see a doctor that does cosmetic procedures, do you really want to trust that doctor to diagnose a serious condition or concern? I wouldn't!!! I initially came for a gynecologist exam, this was all fine. I was given a new birth control that actually helped some of my symptoms go away. Problem I had was severe pain near my ovary(she ruled it out). It's been bothering me for 2 years now approx. She told me it was muscular and to do some stretches. Come back if it doesn't get better and we will do an ultra sound. It hasn't gotten better and I have been going to the gym and stretching all the time even before this painful symptom. I'll have to find another gynecologist to get a second opinion. It gets worse..... I called and asked if she does skin evaluations as an annual exam. They said yes so I scheduled. I had a mole I was concerned about. It was a new mole that came out this past summer from fake tanning in those booths! She took a picture of it with her interment and was concerned and said it's pretty deep. The look on her face and the way she was acting made me really scared! She told me to come back in 2-3 months and we would see if it grows or changes. I was terrified. I found an actual dermatologist and he took a biopsy of the mole and guess what? It was Pre-Cancerous MELANOMA!!!! I am scheduled for surgery to have it removed. People don't go to her!!! Just don't. It's your life. Do you research, feel your gut and intuition... read more

I decided to part ways after being recommended to a psychiatrist facility where there was a lawsuit of mal-practice and had a screaming match with Dr. D for the second time trying to figure out what the F I needed to do to get my medication. The story ends there... NOPE! Unfortunately when you go to a new Dr. you need to have old dr. send your files to the new dr.. Attaining those files was like trying to find a horcruxe, NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE. The good part is coming!! Theses Mother F#$%ers are charging me for fake charges from 2017!?!?! Like a lot of reviews say stay clear of this place Dr. D is completely unprofessional to her patients, you will never get a hold of anyone on the phone, and these people try to steal your money. Small community clinic. I come here to get B-12 injections and also had a dermatology appt. They have doctors and they also offer cosmetic type of services as well. The doctors and health-workers are civil and friendly. No frill. No excessive waiting, no upselling of unnecessary services. I am not going to bother to go to some hospital chain dermatologist and wait 7 months to get in to see them. This place is so just so much easier to come to. Also the clinic is open late on some of the days, so one can come by after work or Saturdays. read more

The receptionist is very personable and helpful upon my calling and making an appointment. Dr. Dmytriv was very kind, patient, and thorough. She made sure I didn't have any additional questions and concerns. She answered questions professionally and yet as if she was my friend telling me her opinion on my thoughts. I felt very comfortable with her, and was glad that her office was relatively close to where I live. I am able to access my records online, and I heard back promptly about all my results for my tests being ok. Marina is an angel! She does an amazing job and is very sweet. I had a laser procedure done on my neck and my skin is very sensitive. When she was done I looked like I had fallen asleep in the sun, but by night time the redness subsided and I could see a more youthful looking neck. I purchased a GroupOn special for B12 lipo injections. I wasn't sure what to expect from the mixed reviews, but it was a pleasant experience (except the parking situation). They offer a lot of services including facials, waxing, scar and mole removal, I didnt take advantage of those services. You had to make an appointment, but they accommodated you if you were running late. Sometimes there was a wait to be seen but nothing excessive. The staff was cordial, the atmosphere was very clean and inviting. Overall I would recommend their b12 shots however it's best to use public transportation or walk until construction is over in this area. read more

Its been a year since I've been to Dr.Dmytriv office. I love the Dr. She is humble, honest. And caring. I've been to a few offices and they are nothing like her office. I actually felt like I was at a meat maket waiting to be called at other offices. Dr.Dmytriv listens to you and treats you like family. I live in the suburbs but I'm willing to take the 50 minute drive just to see her. The estiticean Sarah is absolutely amazing. SARAH KNOWS what she is talking about and leaves your skin feeling amazing. I HAD A LASER FACIAL, iPL, and hair removal and she was amazing. Sheent over everything that I was getting done and what to expect after. I had received these services before but I never felt this amazing leaving. I had around 5 appointments here, always came in on time but never was treated on time. They were at least 20-40 minutes late on every appt I had. The vibe of the office isn't super nice, there's a "no whining" sign in the waiting area (??), room walls super thin, etc. I go here because I live a block away, and because I really respect and trust Dr. Wang. She's the best thing about this place. I've had nothing but good experiences with her and has always taken a caring, consultative approach with me, even though the office is usually running 30-45 minutes behind schedule. I'm seeing some other reviews mentioning repeat bills from years ago - my fiance has been experiencing this. They don't answer the phone hardly ever, and it's pretty hard to get ahold of someone that you need (or speak to anyone in general). If you call and leave a voicemail, they won't ever call back. You always have to call them back multiple times until you get someone on the phone. That's especially frustrating when you get a phony bill that's getting to be past due, and they won't pick up or call you back. Having not had a routine checkup for a while, and needing to address a couple of issues before they became problems (if only in my mind), I decided to book an appointment at Midwest Health Center after reading the mostly glowing Yelp reviews. The main pluses for me are the ease of booking online, proximity to public transportation, and minimal wait time to see the doctor. Before my appointment I was given some paperwork, most of which I thought I had filled out online prior to my visit. This seemed slightly redundant. I appreciated the time the doctor took to answer the questions that I had prepared. I am not sure if I will make this place a go-to for my medical needs, as I feel they see many patients, and didn't have the resources to understand my particular circumstances. The online portal to access my medical information seems straightforward and helps alleviate the information overload that often accompanies doctor visits. read more

I was misdiagnosed for an issue that turned into an emergency room visit and then surgery. If I just would have gone to a real doctor I could have saved about $2000. As I'm writing this, I'm sitting at the clinic waiting for a doctor to tell me what's going on with my test result. I had my test 5 weeks ago and I was told that I would hear back from them 2 weeks after the test. So, 4 weeks passed, my doctor finally called and unfortunately I wasn't able to pick up the phone. She left me a voicemail and asked me to call back. At this point, you know something went wrong with your result. I checked online (there's a website that you can find your test results) and saw the test result, indeed, came back "abnormal." So, since last Wednesday (today is Monday), I'd called back 5 times, the receptionist took my messages, but still there's no words from my doctor. So, I decided to stop by the clinic today and see if I can catch my doctor for a minute. Unfortunately, she was off today but there's another doctor on site (the owner I believe). The receptionist told me that the doctor on site was busy right now but when she had a moment between patients, she can look at my results and tell me what's going on. However, the receptionist said I could not ask too many questions about my result unless I made an appointment. What?? I understand the doctor's time is precious but so is mine. I'm a customer who has been waiting for a result for weeks, made the time to stop by the clinic, sitting here for an hour waiting for someone to tell me what's wrong with my body. When I expressed my frustration about not being able to ask too many questions (Honestly, all I wanted to know is what's wrong and what the next step is. I'm not an unreasonable person. I run a business too!), the receptionist said,"Calm down, take a deep breath! You are fine. Otherwise, you would have known what's wrong earlier." Here is my understanding about what she said : 1. If my condition was fatal, I would hear back earlier. 2. If my condition wasn't that serious, they could wait. But then, if mine wasn't a serious issue, they could just simply have their assistant call. So, to conclude, my problem was important enough for my doctor to call and talked to me directly. So, when she asked me to calm down, she was making it look like I'm crazy. And I felt totally disrespected. I'm still waiting to hear about my result. No matter what it is, I feel very disappointed. Not only about the bad experiences and worries that I've had in the past few weeks but also the fact that I DID enjoy working with my doctor. And it's a shame that I lost my respect and trust for the clinic. I thought I found a clinic where I could go to regularly for many years but now I have to look elsewhere for another clinic who would respect their patients no matter how big or small their condition is. P.S. I finally did get to talk to the doctor about my result. My condition was definitely serious enough that I needed further treatment. I was going to give this review a 1-star. But after I talked her, I felt slightly better. She was very patient with me and apologetic about the wait. She took her time and I was able to ask QUESTIONS about my condition. So, I am giving them a 2-star now and hope that they will get better at other areas, such as being responsive, prompt with getting back to their patients, front desk, customer services and etc. But still, I won't be back since this whole experience was causing way too much stress. read more

Dr. Dmytriv is really great. I've seen her for a pap and more recently, a physical exam, at which time she updated all my prescriptions, including something I take to keep my skin clear - which helped me avoid going to visit my regular (and expensive) dermatologist. She takes the time to address all of my issues. Even the nurse who takes my blood samples does a great job...I know that sounds weird, but because I have tattoos on my arms sometimes I have to get poked a few times before they find the vein but this girl nails it every time, the first time. It is relatively easy to get an appt in a timely manner, and the front desk personnel are always helpful. read more

I have been going to Dr. Dmytriv at Midwest Health Center since 2012. She is a very caring primary doctor with an old fashioned approach to medicine. She always takes time to really ask questions and explain the science behind everything. I never feel rushed out the door the way I have at some of the larger hospital groups in Chicago. I also like that I can always get in quickly when something is really wrong. Finally, the nurses and office staff are extremely friendly and helpful. *This is based on a one time experience* Finally a good practice! I voiced my concerns and they were heard. Like Dr. Dmytriv actually listened to what I was saying. She gave me real advice and told me what to do next. This is not a doctor who is just trying to write everything down for records to rush through the appointment and look at you like an idiot. My family's health history is not good. I have never really been approached about that. She gave me suggestions to help me be proactive to not be a victim of the trend in my family's health. There was no push for a co-pay. The receptionist kindly told me the co-pay cost. Simple as that. I waited maybe 10 minutes for my appointment. People may complain about waiting. I feel like it's a given, as an adult, that you should always arrive early. It may be your first time or your 20th time. Arrive early. However, if that isn't the case. These are doctors. This is the second time Ive been to Midwest Health Center and am yet again please. The receptionist actually knows what she's doing and is very friendly! The place is clean and organized. The staff is amazing. Ive never had a doctor actually take time to ask questions beyond just "why are you here?" Dr.Wang is super friendly and doesn't talk down to you at all. I really like this place and will continue to go there! Only con would probably be parking, but public transportation is just steps away. read more

I was seen quickly but the doctor completely missed what was wrong with me. She told me I must have 'mosquito bites' and sent me on my way; when I woke up the next morning I was covered in the so-called 'mosquito bites.' I had to go to the ER to get it sorted out; it turned out I was having a severe allergic reaction, which the doctor at MHC had clearly missed. I will not be returning to this clinic again. read more

I went to Midwest Center for the first time in April this year, wanted to get birth control pills to control my hormones. Dr. Dmitriv was polite, she asked many questions, I am in general satisfied with their attitude during the visit. Several things I noticed: 1. They were trying to persuade me to take more exams to see whether I have any sort of cancer although my visit wasn't about that. Thanks God, I didn't take them because I may have ended up with paying for this - they never explicitly tell that there will be some out of pocket expenses but then can charge you. 2. Birth control pill caused skin rash on the 4-5 day on my belly, hips, breast. Skin rash looked awful.3. I scheduled another appointment with Dr.Dmitriv , she said that I should keep taking the pills and prescribed a lotion. I used the lotion and kept taking the pills but my body was covered even more. By the way, lotion was not covered by insurance, so I paid 60 or 70 dollars. Finally I decided to stop taking the pills and was able to recover in 2 weeks! Which strikes me here that she was absolutely calm saying that I SHOULD NOT STOP taking the pills! 4. Finally I was so angry when I received 2 bills for 130 dollars! For what guys, seriously?? The pills you prescribed not only didn't work but also caused this horrible skin rash! I have been taking hormones since 2011, different types and only this time these hormones caused this effect. At least she should have worried and advised me to stop! 5. I feel that I will never go back to this place again. They charge you for nothing, waste of money, waste of time. I don't feel that Dr.Dmitriv is knowledgeable enough because she wasn't able to solve my problem and prescribe me good pills. I would be ok paying for this if I had some benefit for my health. No result! Just disappointment and 200 bucks for nothing. Be thoughtful people before going there. read more
