I've struggled with cystic hormonal acne and just acne in general for years. I finally got it under…read morecontrol, however, I had a lot of clogged pores and hyperpigmentation. One day, I decided to overuse a specific acne product and let's just say it didn't turn out well. Those specific spots I placed the product created a deep pitted lesion which is now classified as a "boxcar" scar. My skin was irritated, texture wasnt the best, and still had active acne. My self-esteem was torn and I needed help. I called and spoke to Lucas who wanted to help me and got me in at the earliest appointment. Upon arrival, the staff was accommodating and were so helpful, respectful, and personable. They collectively made the check-in/insurance process so easy. I met the Dermatologist and his assessment was clear, concise, and provided topical and oral medication the same day. I asked multiple meticulous questions and he elucidated educational responses. He prescribed me medication for the active and hormonal acne I had, and put me on a consistent facial basis. I noticed the biggest difference in the texture of my skin and my acne went down. As far as the lesions, they are still healing, but the deeply pitted hole I made in my skin is now a month away from being even with the rest of my skin. MIND YOU, this is just a month of treatment and I've noticed a 180. The facials were done by a marvelous woman who's in Medical School I think. She's skilled, knows her stuff, and provided excellent facials tailored to my skins needs. Overall, the staff blew me away and so did the dermatologist. I recommend this office to my family and friends and I honestly never want to go anywhere else--neither should you.

Seems they were eager to take the no-show fee when I called, but did not even offer a potential new appointment time. The doctor, as per the reviews, may be good for others who have seen them, unfortunately Esreal who works as the admin does not glean that same level of service. If you need an office who is flexible because life happens, this is not the place for you.

My review is actually for Dr. Cobbins at this same practice…read more Almost 1 year after my original BA I am still so thrilled I went with Dr. Cobbins. She was very realistic but also open with me and what I wanted. I always felt taken care of and like I could ask questions. She did a wonderful job addressing my partner's questions too since he would be helping with my aftercare. There was a minor complication that developed preventing my right side from dropping as it should, and Dr. Cobbins was very supportive and proactive about doing a crease revision and I was only charged a partial fee for the anesthesiologist, for the procedure 3 months after my original BA. Dr. Cobbins is approachable, realistic and caring. I had another consultation (NSPS) before deciding on Aesthetic Institue of Chicago and they wanted to charge me more, didn't really listen to me and talked down to me, trying to push me towards an incision style I did not want. I was able to tell Dr. Cobbins what I wanted, she told me what she thought would fit best and I ended up going one size below my maximum. My results are very natural looking but help me finally fill out clothing the way I wanted to. Getting this surgery and having such a supportive surgical team and doctor helped me finally have the confidence I had been searching for over many years. I went wedding dress shopping about three months ago and were it not for my surgery, I don't think I would have enjoyed the experience as much as I did nor felt as good in my dress.

This practice's lack of consideration for timeliness is actually the best part. When I arrived and checked in, I could hear the obnoxious manager talking badly about a patient to someone and then berating someone else. Then after the assistant came to get me well past my scheduled time and left the room, I could actually HEAR her and doctor making fun of a patient's skin complaint, appearance, and demeanor outside of the room. Im sure about this because it went on for several minutes though I can't be sure they were talking about me. However I'm assuming I was the patient they were mocking because they walked in immediately after, and this was extremely hurtful as my condition is something I'm very insecure about. Then they came into my room all friendly as if they hadn't been badmouthing me moments before. I naturally felt very uneasy and to make matters worse in the 3 minutes that the doctor was in the room he was dismissive and arrogant and didn't even take the time to explain a thing to me. If you want your care to be taken seriously or just want to deal with good/kind people I beg you DO NOT GO HERE.

I developed a cheloid scar and saw several Dermatologists who all told me nothing could be done and I'd have to live with it. I then saw Dr. Horn and he said that he would try different things to see what could be done. He started several injections during several months and finally it was completely gone after say eight months. He is very conscientious and thorough and has a caring personality. I have complete faith in his knowledge and expertise. To top it off, I read some of his wall diplomas and he knows a lot more than just Dermatology! There are several issues like having a credit card on file, that if one thinks about it, is for a good reason. I have never had to wait long on hold or had any other kind of appointment trouble. Dr. Horn loves his job and is someone you could go to have a beer with; he shows he cares about you as a person, not just another patient.

The products significantly improved my skin texture hyperpigmentation. My skin has never looked this healthy and clear. I used to always feel like I needed to wear concealer or tinted moisturizer to achieve an even look. The best part is the store associated with the clinic. I've always found the associates to be really helpful. I've also ordered a few times online and found the process to be really easy and they are delivered quickly. Only negative is that their lot is valet only. There is street parking but it's on a busy street.

I had a 30-minute skin consultation with Michelle, an experienced aesthetician and laser & light specialist. She also discussed appropriate in-office treatments for my personal needs, concerns, and goals (such as the hydrafacial which I now have booked coming up soon)!
