Two words: Serve.Us! That's exactly what we found upon inadvertently stumbling into Midwest RV. (Long story short: we flew from Ohio to Kansas to look at specific trailers with one of Midwest's "competitors" [loosely defined "competitor", in retrospect]. We learned things about each trailer only AFTER arriving and that would have likely kept us from making the trek. Frustrated, disappointed, and heading back to Ohio from a failed mission, we noted a trailer on Midwest RV's property and thought 'what the h*ll, we can always look.') Two words: Smart.Decision! It was 20 minutes to closing (ON A SATURDAY EVENING), and without missing a beat, one of their SERVE.US (v. sales) reps offered to open up the slides for us to better view the interior. We both hated accepting the offer that close to closing time, but otherwise a wasted trip AND what we had seen with the slides in looked really good. Next-level service: They offered to pull the trailer over to the building, hook it up to electric, and power on the a/c (it was a SUPER hot day). They suggested we go get a bite (with recommendation - the little place d'town was very good!), come back, and they'd leave it open for us to check out how well the a/c worked (and it did). Through calls and text we were able to negotiate a deal with Larry "Bighorn" (owner) on what we're very happy to have stumbled upon. Also, through calls and texts were we able to work with Larry to secure a transport* from Kansas to Michigan. *Rocky, was also nothing short of a kind, cautious and careful, professional. While there were some (unforeseen) issues that arose with the camper upon arrival and habitation (some rookie-owner, some mechanical), Larry was readily available to walk this rookie owner through both. One of the unforeseen issues required transport to a local dealer for repair. When that dealer was unable to return the trailer, two words: Larry.Bighorn. Upwards of one year after purchasing from Midwest RV, Larry was AGAIN able to be counted upon with the constant serve.us. that we'd come to know and appreciate. Not only was he able to locate another transporter for us, but Boyd was just as professional as all the others we'd come across orbiting Larry Bighorn. Midwest RV, Larry Bighorn - his staff, and the transports he was instrumental in arranging - have been nothing short of a timely, friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive group of business professionals with impeccable follow through and follow up. Had a power surge and consequently an electrical system failure on our travel trailer. Since I was close by I went to the shop and spoke with Adam. He told me to bring it in. I was back within 30 minutes. He told me he would check it over and give me a call. The inverter, microwave, and refrigerator were fried! He told me he would order the parts and have reassembled and ready to go within several days. True to his word he called several days later. It has now been about six weeks later...we have had opportunity to camp and test the system out now. Everything works like new! I am very pleased with the work performed. We bought our new 2021 micro boost fifth wheel from Midwest RV. Vince was our salesman and he was very informational and very helpful. We had been checking around for a fewwe found the best deal at Midwest. Out travel trailer shopping today! It's an exciting day for my family because we are ready to go camping any time! The parking area says vehicles will be towed but the sign is in front of the business but I park anyway cause where else is designed to park... So I walk in this place (which by the way the address is wrong online, it's now on the other side of the bridge) there's 1 large dog and two small dogs and not a person to be seen. Finally after 1 small happy dog alerts the lady for at least 30 seconds the lady comes around the corner, I tell her we are looking at camping trailers, she hands me a printed out slip of paper designed to look like a business card but ya may as well wrote it on the corner of a paper and tore it off with a number on it and tells me I can look around but prices are on them. Didn't see a price, didn't bother to look at the trailers. Got in the car and left. Every time I hear their name will be a bad taste in my mouth going that will be voiced. Y'all must not be worried about making the money so excuse me for thinking that's why your a business. read more

Called 3 times for service, no call back, nothing but excuses .... Waiting patiently for a callback never worked ...

Worst experience ever slow, expensive, lack experience with basic knowledge, does work not asked for and over charges. Extremely over priced wanted to compare themselves to Camping World lol. You have to park and unhook and get out of lot when picking up. Employees dirty and nasty. Older man sitting at desk seems to have no purpose but draw money. read more

We were traveling across country from coast to coast and was stopped in wellsville to visit my folks when our air conditioning went out. Of course it's August and outside. They were able to fit us in even though they were busy due to the holiday weekend coming up. We can't thank them enough. They were so helpful and even gave us tips on some other RVing stuff for our journey. We are fairly new to this. What a great place and great bunch of people who work here. read more

I traveled all the way from south Texas to purchase a toy hailer they had listed on RVT. Let me preface this by saying that I dislike most RV dealers because they all seem to be trying to pull a fast one in one way or another. I learned my lessons about buying new vs used and all the extended warranty issues when I purchased my first trailer. I work away from home, so this is my primary residence. I have been searching for this particular type of trailer for about a year and have visited dealerships from NC all the way down the east coast and back across to south Texas where my actual house is. This trailer came up aa newly listed so I called them. My first phone call went ro voice mail and did not get returned. I called the dealership the next morning and was immediately put through to Joe. He patiently answered all of my questions about the unit so much so that I actually hooked up my trade in and drove the 800 miles or so to see the new trailer. The pictures of the unit were decent and the information Koe gave me left me feeling pretty confident I would be making the purchase. Before we left home, I was able to complete most of the purchase documents which was important to me. I did not want to get all the way up there to discover I couldn't get financed with terms I was happy with. Larry worked with me on that. Upon arrival, which was a day early we found the trailer set up and recently washed. Adam, toured the unit with me and patiently explained all of the operational controls. This unit is a 2013 so it had some minor issues here and there which were all remedied while I was dealing with paperwork. All of the employees were kind and genuine. We showed up a day early with a couple of hours notice so the mild disorganisation was absolutely forgivable. I would say that Adam and the service techs definitely went above and beyond to get the new hitch installed and the small issues with trailer resolved to my satisfaction. The dealership(Joe I think) made sure that we had everything we needed. They even put a roll of TP in the bathroom. :) I know I'm getting long winded so I will close with my final thought. I am a very saavy shopper and I don't spend money without caution. I would definitely go back and refer any friend to these guys. They are a small privately owned dealership that actually treated me with enough honesty and respect that I would return to then the next time. That's high praise from me after all I learned when I bought my first trailer from that national chain with the blue signs. read more

I have a Northwood Nash trailer with a built in LPG generator. The generator would not start after being in storage. Another RV dealer told me the coil was bad and charged me over $600 for a new coil. After replacing the coil, there was no change, the generator still would not start well or run for over 10 minutes. After several trips back, they told me there was nothing more they could do. Yes, they kept my $600. I went to Midwest RV and Adam diagnosed the problem in less than 5 minutes. It was a bad gas line. It took them some time to work me in for the repair, but it was done right. I have the trailer back and the generator runs fine. Bill and Adam in the service department at Midwest RV know what they are doing and are good to work with. When you pull in and see the gravel parking lot and older building, you wonder if this is where you want to have your RV repaired. What they lack in a pretty facility, they more than make up for with quality, reasonably priced work. I'll use them for any future repair or service needs that I have. read more
