Took my car in for a simple diagnostic test and minor repairs. Charged us an arm and a leg and also cut major wires to the wiring harness and tried to hide it and deny it. They only thing they had to say was bring it back in to assess the damage and we highly doubt our techs did it. After moving to Kansas City, I spent several years driving back to my home town for oil changes. Crazy, I know, but I'd had trouble finding an auto shop that I felt was honest, quick, and did quality work. After asking around for recommendations, I decided to give J&T a try. I've had nothing but great experiences since! I usually wait at the shop while my car is being serviced. My car is always serviced very quickly. I'm usually in and out in under 45 minutes. The shop is small but does offer Wifi and snacks. There's also a small TV in the lobby. The only downside to me is the location. Spring Hill is a bit of a drive for me, but I feel like it's worth it for a shop that I can trust. Overall, I feel like the cost is pretty comparable to other shops in the area. read more

Beware of Hayen! He quoted me $1700 and then when he called to let me know my car was ready I asked how much the total was and he said $1975. I asked why so much more and he said the manufacturer recommended replacing a few parts. Never got a phone call saying they are doing more work. Didn't give him permission to proceed. Dont trust him! Took my car here after being told by another auto service that my car needed a new alternator was making extremely loud Whining noise. I told them this and was quoted price for fix. There Mechanic completely Ignored the loud whining sound and replaced Alternator even though that was not the problem I then received call saying do you know your car is making a loud whining noise. I said yes that is why I brought car in for. Then I was told that I had Refused a Diagnosis on my car which is Totally a Lie, I was never asked if I wanted my car Diagnosed. Of course I was told that would be the first time in there History that they did not ask a customer if they wanted there car diagnosed!!! well guess I was the first. I had a punctured tire and they got me in right away. I live in town and there was no way I would've made it to another shop without having to change a tire. Pros: Locally owned and operated Fast and efficient Very friendly Cons: significantly higher priced than Walmart. Walmart charges $10 and they charged $25. In this case it was a matter of convenience and not having to change a tire. I would use them in the future, but not before shopping around to compare pricing/quality of service. read more

The Service I received from J&T was more deserving of 5stars, unfortunately that's all I can give but they went above & beyond. Before calling J&T, I took my truck into another shop for a routine oil change (had a $30 off coupon, why not right?!). When I picked it up, the tech said I not only needed new brake pads but also need (4) brand new rotors & calipers. He said he could get me in the very next day and handed me the $1300 estimate and asked me if I wanted to go ahead and pay for it now... "How bout No, Scott." Being new to the area and originally from a rural town, I decided to get a 2nd opinion from a smaller local shop, somewhere that felt more like home and where I could build a personal relationship with for future needs. I stumbled across J&T and after reading countless reviews, they seemed to be exactly what I was looking for. Looks can be deceiving and talk is cheap, but after 10min on the phone with Diana she not only had her doubts that I needed new rotors AND calipers but suggested bringing it in for an inspection instead of just trying to beat their price for my business (which she did if I needed it). She also advised that before anything was done to my truck we would discuss what they saw during their inspection and would get my blessing before doing anything. I took my truck in the very next day and about 60min later, I got a text with pictures and call from the tech to walk through those pictures with an explanation of what they saw, what they reco'd I really needed and the price associated with their reco's. J&T not only saved me hundreds of dollars on new parts that I didn't even need, they earned my business and my trust by doing things the right way! If you're looking for an auto shop that do things the right way from start to finish, you should give them a call! Excellent place to get all your vehicle needs met. I have been going there for years. But what keeps me going there is not the pricing. Which to be fair is a fair price for the work done. But, what keeps me coming back is the customer service. Through the times I have been there, they took the time to explain things about my bill I didn't understand. Took the time to go over things I will need to fix in the future. But, mostly took the time to explain what was wrong with my vehicle. How much it would take to fix it. I have even called when my vehicle was not being serviced to ask a question. Was greeted and my question was answered. The reason why you come here will never be on a statement. Lifesavers! My teenage daughter (who still hasn't sorted out the difference between where the oil goes and where the washer fluid goes) had the oil light come on while visiting friends in Spring Hill. I pulled these guys off of Google Maps, gave them a quick call and asked if they could check her oil and top it off if needed. She got there, they determined it was full but needed a change. That was it. They had the perfect opportunity to over-diagnose to their heart's content since those of us who know how to put air in the tires weren't there with her, but they were completely reasonable and prefectly willing to help out with no notice or scheduling. read more

I've used J & T Auto to fix problems with my Ford Escape on several occasions. They were able to find the source of a mystery leak that would flood my floorboard when I ran the car through the carwash, fixed the backlighting on the dash, replaced a broken tail light reflector and other minor issues. Based on my experience, I think they are trustworthy, the prices seem fair and the work is done in an acceptable amount of time. I don't have trouble getting the car scheduled for work and have used their key drop when I want to drop the car off after hours. NEVER use this place. They "made some adjustments" on my son's car, charged him over $200 and less than 10 miles later the same problem recurred. He returned to the shop to be told that there was no one there who could look at it and bring it back the next week. My son is active duty military and needed to leave to get back to base. We had to find someone else to do the repair. When I inquired about at least a partial refund as their "adjustments" didn't fix the problem, they refused and were very rude about it. read more
