After a few months, rolling around, my car became louder until my exhaust fell off completely from the catalytic converter. Come to find out my exhaust bolts backed themselves out because they used the incorrect hardware. I called back to let them know my concern and the only thing she said was to bring my vehicle back in and drop it off. There was no apology issued whatsoever. I took my truck to this location to run all new pipes in my truck they charged me 1600 dollars for new pipes and it had exhaust leaks right out the shop I also told them to run new pipes from the manifold and they didn't in my opinion I got ripped off. read more

The power steering went out on my parents' van and the local Chrysler dealer wanted $2,000 to fix it, on top of the $150 just for giving us an estimate (on a vehicle only worth $3,000!). A friend had told us about Mighty Muffler and great service there. They fixed it for $500 and it was done within 24 hours. Mel is great to work with and they are now our car repair place of choice. Unless you have a pretty penny, don't go here. They overcharge and underdeliver... a part that costed 300 I was billed for over 600 (just the cost of the part in the itemized bill... labor was on top of that) and did not even close the cover on the engine properly. Also I asked for a small task (putting on the wiper blades - I bought the blades) but they forgot and when I checked later and asked why they didn't do it, I was told it would be extra. A simple brake job was quoted for over 4 times the cost of the parts... I could go on.. I had to go for the first job as they were referred as a good place but I am thoroughly disappointed... will never go back. read more

Visiting my FSU daughter from Indiana and noticed that her car was VERY loud. Found Mighty Muffler online and read the reviews. They lived up to their online reputation. I was in and out in about 45 minutes. Prior to going, I called my husband and he requested that if they wanted to put more than $300 into it or put on a whole new muffler, he wanted to speak to the mechanic. They showed me the broken part and quoted me $135! Didn't call hubby and he was thrilled that they were so honest about what needed to be replaced. Thank you for your fast work and honesty! Terrific place. Not once, but twice. Both times The dealer was in the process of cheating me. I checked with Mighty on a whim and found great mechanics who actually try to do a good job for the least amount of money possible. They are creative and go the extra mile. I took my '96 Honda Civic here to get the muffler fixed; the muffler snapped in half due to old age and rust. I brought my car in and had it looked at immediately. Called up said come on down. When I got there they said they do not make appointments, there ad said they did and I told Mel that it took me an hour to get there. He said that he was going to get me in sooner, I told him that I had to leave by 2:00 P.M. to pick up my granddaughter at school, she is special needs. After an hour he got me in and got me out of there on time. He took two hours charged me $500 and got me out. When I took my granddaughter to school om Monday the engine trouble light came back on with the same error P0421. After taking the car back to Mel two times he said he would replace the two sensor lights and replace the catalectic muffler, as I originally asked him to do, for an additional $800.00. read more

They were able to fit my car in the day of and had my muffler issued repaired within the hour. The owner and employees of Mighty Muffler go above and beyond customer service as they are honest, dependable and extremely caring. I was walked step by step through my muffler repair and informed of exactly what would be done to my car. I am currently a student at Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL where Mighty Muffler is located. Myself and friends have had our fair share of experiences in this town with mechanics trying to make a quick buck off of us all. I was truly treated like family in the the Mighty Muffler establishment and couldn't be more pleased with their services. I took my vehicle in for a new muffler. They installed a Walker SoundFX muffler (telling me it would be more quiet) - and it was still just as loud as the muffler they just took off the vehicle. In addition, they didn't use a muffler that fit my vehicle, but had to cut the pipes and weld it onto the vehicle. I went back about a week later because I was unhappy with the loud sound, and they said that a resonator would help reduce the sound. So they cut the tail pipe and installed the resonator near the end of the tail pipe. I STILL had a rumbly vehicle - very very unhappy. My husband finally purchased the correct muffler (Walker QuietFlow that was made to fit my vehicle) and took it back to Mighty Muffler and had them change out the mufflers. They did, but the resonator was still on there. We were still unhappy with the loud rumbly sound from the resonator, so my husband took the vehicle to a different muffler shop to have it removed. The repairman stated that it was NOT a resonator (like I was told it was), but a Glass Pack muffler that was put on my vehicle - and that it should NEVER be installed at the tail-end of the exhaust pipe. So he removed it, put a proper tailpipe back on, and viola! no more loud rumbly sound. Mighty Muffler charged me $110 to install a $29.00 Walker SoundFX muffler, while telling me it was a premium muffler. Then they charged me $80.00 to install the resonator - which was actually a Glass Pack muffler that can be purchased at cost for $12.00.If you want to be lied to, and spend money on parts that are NOT what they are supposed to be, then go to Mighty Muffler. Otherwise, stay away from them and go somewhere reputable. read more

I went to get my muffler (already purchased from O'reilly) put on yesterday 02/29/16..this was the worst experience ever!!!!..I was quoted between $65-$75 (if they have to put on pipes), now I know my Oreilly muffler came with the pipes, but when I got there and had the muffler put on, the manager NOW quotes me over $100 because he had to add pipes?!, now where my pipes went, I don't know?..I should've known that this was a scam business with NO prices posted for jobs/labor (so they can pretty much make up prices as they go!), and I noticed that everything I ask for a quotes to do, even to put on a transmission pan gasket (which I even know it is a 4 bolt job--easy job) he quoted me over $100 with me buying all the parts, then I said to myself, "he must have a bill due of $100 so everything will cost $100 for labor ..lol"..the secretary comes in and working holding a new born and typing with the other hand (talk about ghetto)!..so now I know whoever posted that previous review had to have been a relative, cause none of it was true!!!..I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP!!!.. read more
