She is amazing at what she does, and although I have a slight fear of needles - she always puts me completely at ease. I started going to Beck 10 months into our fertility journey. We had suffered a miscarriage and then didn't have any luck getting pregnant after that. I'm a long distance runner and developed a sciatica type pain in my right hip every time I tried to run. I tried icing, stretching, rolling and massage with little improvement. Hi, I found Dr Beck thru Yelp and I have to say that everyone is right. She is a very caring professional. I have been working with Dr. Hoehn for the past several months for fertility acupuncture and I can't say enough wonderful things about her. I began seeing her in September after a year and a half of fertility struggles which came with a lot of emotional and physical stress. I've heard a lot of positive things about fertility acupuncture so I decided to give it a shot and I'm so happy I did. She took the time to understand my situation, educate me on BBT charting, and provide the right herbs and supplements to help increase our chances for pregnancy. She takes the time before each session to talk to me and go over my chart to ensure I am well on track. She even referred us to another RE as we were not very satisfied with our first one, and I'm happy to say we are now patients of his as well. Dr. Beck is amazing! I thought the whole appointment would be a waste of my time but I was terribly wrong. After my first appointment my back pain stopped, literally stopped! Dr. Beck is also helping me with my face rosacea which was not expected. I had never done acupuncture before, but I had a severe case of Planter's Fasciitis. A friend of mine had recommended to see Beck for my feet. I was super hesitant and I had just received cortisone injections in both my heels from my foot doctor that didn't go so well. It was a very painful experience and thought I'd take my friends recommendation and give acupuncture a try. I was willing to do anything to get some relief. I showed up to my first appointment with Beck, I was fragile, in pain, could barely walk and was feeling very tense. Beck was so attentive with my situation and instantly gave me a sense of clamness. She made me feel very comfortable. Beck was very informative and explained how she was going to treat me and how it would work with my healing process. Also, I'm not a huge fan of needless so I was very nervous at the same time. Beck helped me relax, taught me how to breathe and treated me not only for my feet, but also for my stress/tension from being in pain. She was extremely gentle and made sure I was comfortable. When she was done treating me in my first visit, I couldn't believe how much calmer I felt and when I took my first few steps I was able to walk much better. She relieved constriction I had in my feet that was not allowing me to balance or walk correctly. I was amazed and so happy after the first treatment. Beck also sent me home with some at home exercises. After the second visit I was even more amazed of how better and relaxed I felt. Beck even helped me with some pain I had in my hip. I'm almost 100% better. I can't thank Beck enough for all that she has done for me. This is a long overdue review for Beck. I saw Beck for almost a year for infertility and endometriosis related treatments - and I am now 25 weeks pregnant! :) I did end up having to do IVF, as the natural treatments unfortunately did not work for me, but I did see a great improvement in my endometriosis symptoms during the time we were trying naturally. I think Beck's greatest asset is her bedside manner - she is extremely intuitive and understanding, and over time became a good support as much as she was my fertility/pain acupuncturist. She is also extremely knowledgeable about fertility and inflammatory disorders. Dr. Beck is the absolute best! After being diagnosed with Lyme Disease in May, I began seeing Dr. Beck in July since I couldn't take the pain of the disease or the side effects treatment any more and needed intervention! In addition to this I had many symptoms (chronic inflammation, irregular menstrual cycles, severe anxiety, nerve pain). Dr. Beck takes the time to listen to every symptom, is very patient, and offers a lot of insight into whatever my ailment might be that week. :) Within two months she normalized my menstrual cycle which has never previously happened without medication. Before this, I hadn't had a non-medically induced period since I was a teenager. It's also very rare for lyme patients to get more than 4 hours of sleep a night, and I attribute my 7-9 hour sleeping pattern to her! Beck is a true gift, I could not recommend her more! I started going to Beck a couple of months ago for various small things I wanted to work on and my overall well being. Plus, I was also curious about acupuncture and wanted to give it a try. Ive had three sessions with Beck so far and Im so pleased with the treatment. I really like that she explains what points she's using and why (example: we're using points on the liver channel because they can have a cooling effect). I have also never had an acupuncturist incorporate essential oils into the treatment which I very much enjoy. She makes sure that every needle is properly in place and not causing discomfort before leaving the room; nothing worse than sitting through a sessions with one needle thats in a little wonky! Beck takes her job and her patients very seriously but she is also a very warm and funny person. I've enjoyed the personal aspect of the sessions as much as the healing portion. I've been seeing Dr. Beck for a few weeks now and I'm so glad I tried acupuncture. I had no idea what to expect, as no one I knew had been to an acupuncturist, but I really wanted to give it a shot. I have had a steady stream of headaches for a couple of years now, and really wanted to try something other than more pills. I've found this to be a relaxing and rejuvenating therapy which is helping me try to ease back on prescription meds.
