Authentic Mexican Food in Oakridge! What a find. Birria Taco with consumme - moist delicious pork, melty cheese with a super flavorful consumme. We were dipping everything in that consumme...soooo good. And for $3?? Highly recommend! 5 stars! Chicken Tacos with homemade tortillas - tender white meat with the right amount of seasoning. I appreciated the cheddar cheese substitution since we got it without onion and cilantro. This chef knows what's up. And perfect homemade corn tortillas. 5 stars! Steak Tacos with homemade tortillas - good quality steak - not stringy or chewy like others we've had for the same price. Generous portions! 5 stars. Lunch Special Stuffed Poblano Pepper - aside from the charred exterior the pepper was perfectly roasted with a yummy filling of cheese, steak and pico de gallo. Fantastic value including the homemade beans and rice for $8. 4.5 stars. Make sure to ask for the homemade hot sauce - super mild red sauce added the right amount of tomato and pepper flavor. Delish. Good food when you can get it but HORRIBLE about consistency. From changing their number and not updating it publicly to constantly being out of staples even when advertised as a special it's a joke. Flakiest restaurant in Oakridge. I recommend going somewhere reliable... pretty much anywhere but here. read more

Truly tasty homemade tortillas. Don't skip this place! Perfect stop on the way back after shredding dirt or snow.

I was curious about this little Mexican place after seeing some positive reviews. We sat inside with excitement waiting for our tacos and "fajitas" both with sides of rice and beans. That's where the excitement ended. The restaurant is carpeted. The sections are thrown together with a random assortment of chairs and tables that resembles a masonic hall with paper cutouts on the wall. It is sort of sad honestly, it looks like they just gave up on caring about it looking like a restaurant, at all. We could hear the chef complaining loudly about some women he did not like and his voice was echoing through the building so that all (5) of us could clearly hear his conversation. It was unprofessional and more than a little awkward. Then a man arrived, presumably a friend, who proceeded to walk back to the kitchen and smoke a joint with the chef--the smell permeated the building and their conversation was on full display for us all. We were very close to getting up and leaving however there was NOTHING else open for dinner in the town of Oakridge. Then the food came out. I ordered fajitas and was given two tacos filled with chicken and peppers and no beans, which the waitress informed us "they were out of " Obviously, I was expecting a plate of sizzling chicken with sides of peppers and onions, a stack of tortillas, and maybe some salsa. The chicken was mediocre and the the rice had no seasoning When you stack it all up this place has no: passion, no love, no hardwood floors, no concern for customers, no seasoning, no concept of fajitas and no beans. read more

We tried and that was enough...the 'homemade' tortillas are not anything to shout about nor save the boring flavors...and the thick birria consommé with rice is just plain bizarre. I was hopeful and wanted to be supportive but nah, ill wait for the little further drive to Springfield. read more

Went skiing at Willamette Pass. I was feeling hungry on the way back to Eugene and saw a sign for tacos so I stopped at Miguel's Tacos. Had two of the best beef tacos I've ever had. SO GOOD. I can't wait to come back again. Also open later than some other options on HWY 58, so definitely a good option for skiers visiting WP or Bachelor, or mountain bikers after a long ride. read more

my husband and stopped at this restaurant seeking tacos, what we got was a FANTASTIC meal, beautiful atmosphere, amazing welcoming people and BOMB food! We simply could not have asked for more. Miquel and his family offered a different range of options of food and preparations. If you don't see it on the menu, just ask! Miquel his mom and rest of his family are working hard to make this stop a must for all food lovers but most of all those who love adventure and seek good conversation, kind people and amazing tasting food. We love Miguels Tacos, chicken, empanadas, Everything! He definitely puts his heart & soul into his cooking..always coming up with new variations. I know that some snobby tourists may not appreciate this "diamond in the rough" complaining about decor, etc but my family totally loves the way Miguel and his family have worked hard to provide Oakridge with delicious, authentic Mexican food. read more

Great service and great food! The nachos with homemade chips and queso are so yummy and the chicken empanadas are my favorite.

My husband really enjoys the wet burrito and I like the steak street tacos. The green salsa is addictive.

We came here to order Lee's and ended up with a pleasant surprise: Miguel's Taco's we ordered the south of the border egg rolls, chicken tortilla soup, chicken mini enchiladas, and the street tacos. Miguel came out and gave us an empanada for us to try. We could taste the passion in every item we ate!! We were so hungry after a long hike! I feel amazing and super full after eating this feast!!! Miguel is the owner, his mom cooks, his daughter waits tables and they use his grandmother's recipes. The food is fantastic and the family story is even better. Food is lousy and way overpriced, owner is rude and belligerent, the place is dingy and dirty, AVOID AT ALL COST.

My wife and I were staying close to town on a road trip and were told by some Canadians that this place had the best fresh tortillas. Being from San Diego we figured we know our tortillas and wanted to see if this was the real. Miguel runs the grinds and his mom makes the freshies. All was bomb. Best sopes and tortillas I've had since my grannie was around. She made the best. Never would have expected quality Mexican grinds in these woods but definitely was a treat. It was a bright and sunny day down in the ole Oakridge and my throat feeling a little dry and all of a sudden, almost like god gave me a sign, Miguel's tacos. I knew they had to have horchata, my favorite drink of all time. So I went to buy a horchata and to my surprise they put orange juice in it. Wasn't the biggest fan wish I had some warning.
