Whenever I'm in the area I look for great Mexican food and this place didn't disappoint. Found this place on yelp and decided to give it a try. We got seated in no time and was served up hot tortilla chips and salsa. So far so good!!! The waitress took our order and it wasn't much of a wait. The Carna Asada tacos were as good as I've had. This is probably the best place for a real authentic taco and Mexican food. I have been many times and each one of those times they were consistent and great. Tacos are great,tamales are amazing. If you feel adventurous try their weekend pozole or menudo. You won't be disappointed. Just FYI the eat in area is very small,they only have about 6 tables. A really cool feature of the restaurant is a large beverage cooler section (taking up nearly an entire wall of this jewel box sized restaurant) of domestic, but mostly imported drinks of every variety from Mexico. I recommend this gem of a restaurant without hesitation. Low key atmosphere, fair menu pricing, great small dining environment, friendly, service driven staff and most importantly, the food is fantastic. I actually enjoyed the setting style they placed with the tacos like how they have the sauce and onions in a build your own taco sort of way. The asada here are big in portions so instead of ordering four tacos, you can order two and make four. This is a great little taqueria, very authentic! I had a torta, which was pretty good... I think if I had tried the tacos, I would be writing a 5 star review. My biggest complaint is that they use pickled jalapeños instead of fresh. That might just be a personal prejudice of mine, but I think the pickling flavor is overwhelming and doesn't blend with Mexican flavors. Being from Texas you are always skeptical of Mexican food as you travel further from the border. But this place is legit. They call them tacos but they are really more like taquitos (not not flautas) but just mini corn tortillas. Also the salsa is fire got. I love spicy food but had to use this in sparingly. read more
