Got pizza to go - similar to most pizza places, it would've been better if we ate at the restaurant. By the time we got home, the steam made the crust very soggy and heavy with all the toppings. I reheated slices over the stove to restructure the bottom and it was perfect. I'd definitely go back and try dining there

Nice and clean restaurant. My friend and i arrived right when they opened at noon. Although we couldve sat at the bar, we opted for a booth. Ngl i walked in a little blind. I was expecting to order a salad and to my pleasant surprise they had gluten free alternatives. The server even shared they had vegan cheese. Yum! My friend and i split a 10" gluten free four pig pizza. Four pig contains pepperoni italian sausage meatball and bacon. I dont know how to describe the taste of the neopolitan crust. The dough is made in house and tastes nothing like other crusts ive tried. In a good way! It is up there on my list of gluten free favorites

Delicious pizza with thin crust and plenty of toppings. Kids pizza comes with fruit salad.Design of the place is still pretty much like FireWorks used to be, they serve with attention. My daughter gave it 10/10 for pizza Will come back to check their brunch menu.

This was the first time eating there, and so far, it was not too bad by eating garlic knots and steak and cheese sandwiches.

The service and food is wonderful! The waiter was amazing and attentive. He provided amazing customer service. I'm so happy there are gluten free options. I ordered a gluten free pizza and Buffalo chicken dip and was super flavorful.

Good pizza. Caesar salad fairly mediocre. Service decent. I'd try it again. Ate at bar and was pretty loud.

Ordering is quick and easy through the iPad, and I went with the Beef Perfect Bowl over rice. The portion alone impressed me. It came piled high with grilled beef, fresh greens, rice, and even an egg roll, making it feel like a complete meal rather than just a rice bowl. The beef was flavorful, the vegetables added a nice freshness, and while I'm trying to cut back on carbs, I have to admit the sticky rice soaked up all the savory sauce and was hard to stop eating. The only thing I would do differently next time is ask for jalapeños or another spicy topping. I like my food with a little more heat, and I think that extra kick would have taken the bowl to the next level. There are a handful of tables if you want to eat there, but I grabbed mine to go. Hidden gem is an overused phrase, but in this case it actually fits. Generous portions, solid flavors, and reasonable prices for this day and age.

Being that it is a Greek restaurant, we had to try the gyro and falafel. The gyro was packed with meat and veggies which made every bite very satisfying. The service at the Sterling location on the day I visited was excellent. Friendly, patient, helpful, and polite. The feel of the location itself is your typical fast-food joint. Get in. Get out. Seemed clean enough. Not very cozy as in a great place to hang out. Not sure how it is during peak hours but the parking lot might get a bit crowded. The street for sure is busy & can cause cars to back up into the parking lot. The food, while not as awesome as I remembered it 5 years ago in MD, is still tasty. Today's visit, the meat in gyros was a bit dry & the gyros & the side of fries I paid full price for were rather skimpy in serving, given that the gyros used to be served with fries included in the price of the gyro. Still, the fries & the gyros still taste good. Not as good a value as in days of old...even on $7 gyro Wednesdays (which used to be $5 gyro Wednesdays). The fried fish sandwich was a good deal in these horrible economic times because it comes with a good-sized filet and fries. Although, $2 extra for Greek fries that only had a tablespoon of garlic, dry herbs, and feta crumbles tossed on top rolling off the fries then pooling at the bottom of the container. The garlic, herbs, & feta are supposed to stick to piping hot fries steaming with the awesome garlicky oil. What I received was really underwhelming and didn't even come close to the Greek fries I remember. So, I'll preface this review conclusion with this: Big Greek Cafe was one of my absolute favorite local joints... the food made me drool just thinking about it. The food was always plentiful in servings, hot, fresh, aromatic, wonderfully delicious, and everything on the menu was such a good value, you'd end up buying a ton of food. Was this trip worth the drive? Glad the curiosity about whether this VA location equaled the MD experiences was satisfied. Probably no longer high on my list to go out of my way to drive 30 minutes to get what used to be my fav sandwich. It seems a little too fast-foodsy, mass-produced now than the original delectable hole-in-the-wall local joint. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely pick up something because it's still tasty...just not as fantastic as I remember.

Started with an espresso martini, a smoked Old Fashioned, and the fritto misto to share. Everything was really good. Then we split the lamb burger and the shrimp risotto for lunch. Both were excellent, although I think the risotto edged out the burger. Our server Mike made the whole experience. Before he even brought us water, he showed up with a bowl for Onyx. Come on, that's an instant five stars in my book. We ended up talking wine with him for a good part of the afternoon. He had us sample a few different pours before we landed on a Nebbiolo we loved. Later, after another conversation about wine, he brought over a taste of a white we'd never even heard of because he thought we'd enjoy trying it. It never felt like an upsell. It just felt like talking with someone who genuinely enjoys wine and likes sharing it with people. Relaxing patio, great food, excellent cocktails, and genuinely memorable service. We'll definitely be back, and Onyx probably will too.

After locating my friend, we discussed her recommended dishes since she frequented Cafesano. She eventually stated that I wouldn't be disappointed with the skewers, so, I decided to commit to the Steak and Shrimp Skewers. With the busyness of the Friday crowd, I expected there to be a wait time with ordering our meals, however, the order line essentially was non-existent, which was a win. The cashier was nice and efficient. However, when it was time for my food to come out, it took quite a bit of time. But, eventually my food came out fresh off the stove, which I appreciated. On to the taste of the dish. Unfortunately, with the promising words from my friend paired with the reviews, my expectations for this dish may have been quite high, causing immediate disappointment. I sadly felt like everything on my plate lacked flavor. The meat could have been seasoned/marinated better giving a more flavorful skewer experience. The portion size was good and price was very affordable. As it pertains to parking, the options were abundant.
