This is really a 4.5 for me. My friend and me drove about 45 minutes to give this a try, based on the rave reviews. Plus, we're sushi lovers! This was really good. We tried 3 different rolls and I had miso soup and she had the house salad with ginger dressing. Roll 1: Snow White - spicy tuna, cucumber, topped with blue crab/surimi mix, yuzu-mango sauce and eel sauce. **This roll was very good - of the 3 we had, this was our #2. I love spicy tuna and this did not disappoint. The addition of the crab and sauces really elevated it. Roll 2: Supreme Sword - Deep fried swordfish, cream cheese, jalapeno, topped with avocado, eel and kobachi sauce. ****This roll was Da Bomb - #1 all day. I never would have even tried this if my friend didn't suggest it. I'm so glad we went outside the box for this one. The combination of the fried swordfish plus the kick from the jalapeño was amazing. I don't even like jalapenos but this was SO GOOD. Do yourself a favor and try this one. Roll 3: Dragon Roll - Blue crab/surimi mix, avocado, cucumber, topped with eel, avocado and eel sauce. ***This was our #3 - it was a straight forward dragon roll and a good one, but that Supreme Sword was so good, it made this one feel boring. The miso soup was delicious - it came out piping hot and I liked that they chopped up the seaweed pretty small. I haven't had it that way before, but I liked it. The house salad with ginger dressing was also good. The dressing is the star here - it has nice bits of ginger in it and not too sweet at all. Service was friendly and attentive. My only downside is the price, but you do get what you pay for. So for 3 rolls, 1 salad, 1 soup and 1 diet soda. It was about $62. We asked them to split the check - so $31 before tip. That being said, I'd totally drive here again and try some of the other food on the menu. My biggest recommendation - try something unique. You can get a regular California roll anywhere. These guys excel in different combinations - so try at least one of those. read more

Not a fan anymore. My wife always order the Korean Chirashi bowl. I always get 2 sushi rolls. Today was different, we were in a hurry so I tried calling the order in. That went no where fast. The girl on the phone literally had no clue what I was talking about. So I said I'll just drive there and place the order in person. I told them we have ordered the Chirashi bowl several times when we dined in and it comes with rice in the bottom. I said she does NOT want the rice. They said it didn't come with rice. I said he's it does. They said no it doesn't but they will write on the order no rice. Guess what ???????? It came with rice. Not only that, the teriyaki chicken I ordered was like nothing I e ever seen before. The chicken was hard, dry, and horrible. So I called them up to complain. The girl says let me talk to the owner. She comes back and says they will give us 10% off our next order. My wife's food is useless, mine is horrific but you're gonna go the extra mile and give me a whole whopping 10% ..... The dressing was unlike any we've had, and super yummy and crisp! Then the sushi. We weren't exceptionally hungry - one of those mega sushi meals where we put away 5 rolls - so we just had 3. I wish I remembered the names, but one had eel, one shrimp and a tuna. The menu had a lot of super rolls that are beckoning me as I write this...maybe lunch today?? The atmosphere IS nice, but you know that weird feeling when you go between mealtimes and there's only one other table in the place? Well, that was us. It felt like any conversation we had would echo, so we stayed pretty quiet. I really want to check it out when it's bustling, because we had fantastic service, but hard to really tell about service when the two tables each have a dedicated server! My rec is to try Mikang for sure! We were impressed, again, by the quality of raw fish and a great rollup! They are professionals and we will definitely return. We've been visiting Mikang for about two years now, usually for our Friday lunch date, and it's always a treat. The service is consistently excellent, and the food never disappoints. The sushi chef (and owner) is both talented and creative, preparing fresh, beautifully presented dishes. While the sushi is outstanding, the menu offers much more. My wife is vegetarian, and she's always pleased with the variety of flavorful vegetarian options available. So glad I found this spot! In this small town there are only a select few places with decent sushi. My husband really enjoyed the three rolls we got. My favorite was the Snow White which was recommended as her favorite. Our server was super efficient with service and nice with personality! The waitstaff was helpful and friendly. The sushi was fresh and fast! We thrived the Korean ribs and Goya to start then had a spicy tuna jalapeño roll and some toro and regular tuna nigiri which was great, especially the toro...you have to try it! The food was amazing here at Sushi. We were able to try several new things here. After eating sushi for over 35 years I was amazed to find some exciting new favorites. The Korean-style spicy Chirashi was beyond my wildest expectations. It has both the satisfying flavors of a poke and a traditional Japanese Chirashi over sushi rice. The fish is Chef's Choice so I will be looking forward to trying it again. This bowl had salmon, tuna, octopus, conch, and yellowtail along with a sprinkle of masago over the rice. This is definitely something that you should try if you like poke and sashimi. The Milaje Roll is a nice combination of cooked tempura fish and raw sushi filling. All the fish was fresh as it could be and the rice was prepared with just the right seasoning of sweet, salty, and sour.
