After medical appointment nearby, my wife and I were looking for a place for a late lunch. We thought about Marcelina's but they don't open until 4 PM, so we pivoted and went to Hibachi 4U. It was just before 3 PM so we made the cutoff for Lunch Special. We had to place our order by the counter before sitting down in a booth with a number placed on our table. We both ordered the Hibachi Steak lunch special ($12.95) which came with salad, fried rice, grilled veggies and cubes of steak cooked medium. Service was a bit brusque but we didn't go there to make friends...so whatever. The salad was served in a clamshell and not a plate but it tasted fresh and the ginger dressing was good. The hibachi steak plate had good portions with this mound of fried rice. The steak was tender and flavorful, we didn't need the dipping sauce provided, but the grilled veggies weren't consistently hot. The fried rice was decent but wasn't hot either. All in all, we thought the flavors were good but could be better prepared by being consistently hot. The value was there even if the service was a bit detached. We both think we still prefer Akita to satisfy our desires for Japanese cuisine. Lunch for 2 with tip came up to just over $30. read more

We love the hibachi chicken here! For $10.95, the lunch special is the best and is enough for two meals. Today we asked for our to-go order to be prepared without mushrooms and they were so accommodating. We have never eaten in, but when I go in to pick-up, it seems very clean. The woman behind the counter, perhaps the manager (?), ensured that everything was exactly as we ordered. We visited Friday evening. The staff was very friendly and eager to help. They offer a variety of items including sushi. We tried the steak fried rice and the hibachi chicken. My husband liked his fried rice he did say it could have had more flavor - the steak and chicken was small cut in strips and I felt it was skimpy on the amount of meat vs rice. My hibachi chicken was prepared with care due to shellfish allergy which I appreciated. The flavor was good although I found the chicken was a bit tough. All and all the place is nice and we will probably try it again and try something else. read more

Avoid this place. Ordered shrimp Hibachi. The shrimp were burnt. Took forever for them to make and they burnt the shrimp. Absolutely no way the chef didn't know it was burnt. Since it was a take out order they just didn't care. Called them they were useless. Find another place for sushi. The roll we got was also horrible. I ordered a boba drink and almost choked on a damn fingernail and when I went to the front to tell them about this fingernail I almost choked on, no one seemed fazed at all. I'm very disgusted with how no one cared about a FINGERNAIL in my drink. I had to ask for a refund on my drink because they wouldn't have offered it. I will never come here again and I DON'T RECOMMEND coming here either unless you want to choke on a fingernail. We tried this place for the first time today. I would say it's off to a good start, but I really hope they make improvements. there were quite a few people sitting around that greeted us and I'm going to assume they were the owners, they were very nice. The restaurant wasn't very full, but it just opened and people don't know about it yet. You can eat in but you don't order at the table. The prices are the same as any of the other hibachi places in the area that will take your order and serve you so that's a little odd. They have a good variety of food but I'm not sure the staff at the counters are sure about everything they serve. We tried a variety of things to see how they were. The first thing I did was order gyoza and before I went to pay, I had to remind the kid that it wasn't there, instead of asking me if I wanted it steamed or fried, he just told me that I never told him that I wanted it. It wasn't a great start, I did in fact tell him, and I also said I wanted them steamed but as you see in the picture, they were just a deep-fried mess and inedible. nobody ever came around to ask us if we enjoyed the food or how everything was so nobody really knew that we thought a couple of the items were bad. I ordered Kani salad; it was 99% cucumber, 5% fried onion and 5% imitation crab meat. If anybody's ever had it, you know that it should be mostly crab meat, but they're clearly saving money by loading in the other cheap items. wouldn't waste my money on it. I ordered rolls from the lunch special and they were fine, I had no complaints. I asked what came in a couple of the other rolls and he wasn't really sure. We also got the steak hibachi and my kid liked it a lot. we got soup instead of the salad, maybe the miso will be better about the clear soup had no flavor. I ordered a tiger milk Boba tea, it was pretty good. Basically, we will try it again because of the proximity to where we live, it would be nice to have a local hibachi place, but they need to do better on the quality and taste of their food. read more

My hubby and I Tried this restaurant for the first time. The staff is friendly and the service was prompt . We enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere. My Shrimp tempura bento box was full of tasty food. Loved the California roll Sushi , the shrimp was good not the tempura I am used too but still tasty. The shumai wasn't what I was expecting but it was very good . My favorite Part of my meal in fact. My delicious salad was really good , the ginger dressing so yummy . The fun part was my Mango popping milk tea!! Little popping mango balls give a tasty burst of mango favor . Ate there 5/24 at 11 am, shrimp tempura was under cooked and sent back for credit, wife had veg with noodles, I had shrimp and chicken with fried rice. Her meal was bland, my meal was bland, and rice was over cooked and falling apart. We both had about 20% of our meals and took the rest home to throw away. I gave the Mgr my under cooked tempura and asked for a credit, she took the app and issued a credit, never applogized, did not offer to remake it, other two apps we had were just ok, the Mgr or the male employee never came to table to check on us, when we asked for our to go boxes they did not comment on how much we were taking home. We will not go back to this place. Only 1 other family in resturant, not sure why the mgr didn;t haver time to check on us, apologize or thank us for coming in. Wish I had not waited so long to try this place out. The sushi rolls were great, gyoza very tasty and presentation amazing! You're getting the same or better sushi as the other places without the upcharge to be waited on. I've been to all the places in town and a self proclaimed sushi snob. Well I have been wanting to try this place now for some time and wow when I tell you this has to be the absolute WORST hibachi I ever tasted (I say tasted because I didn't actually eat it I threw it out after one bite. When I say zero seasoning on the chicken I literally mean it they put zero effort into seasoning there "food".
