To update: The staff at Mike More Miles is phenom! Last year during the horrible cold snap, my car would not start. I could not get help from AAA or any other tow services, since they were only taking emergencies. I was 9 months pregnant with a 1.5 year old. Anthony at Mike More Miles came by and jumped my car for me. THEN (of course after he left), my car wouldn't even get into gear!!! I think we originally came here just because it was close to home. Once we got here I immediately hit it off with both guys working the counter, down to earth and hilarious! We were talking like I known both of them for years. They have worked on both of our vehicles. Always straight up, no BS, just telling it like it is. I had a problem with my heat actuator motor in my Ford Explorer that the dealership wanted 1000 bucks to fix. They did the same job with an OEM part for 350. I also had a pesky scaping noise under my truck that I was trying to track down. I brought it there once to track it down and I looked like a fool as I could not recreate the noise I was referring to. We had a good laugh but they did finally figure out what the hell it was, a loose heat shield. They showed a lot of patience on their part. You'll know why everyone comes here when you can't find a place to park in the lot and all the bays are full. I gave my business to another auto shop for at least a decade prior. Then COVID hit, this place couldn't keep technicians, and there was a change in management. I was waiting weeks in between appointments (understandable, but not efficient). So I went online to find a new auto shop. Like somebody else said, DON'T bring your car anywhere else! These guys are a hidden gem in Lombard, and I don't mind driving 30 minutes out every time. If my car can make it. It's great knowing there is a car place out there that you can fully trust and know you're in good hands. I've brought my Pontiac here a few times and they've kept it up and running at 220k Miles. I can't speak for the whole company in general, but this specific location is stellar. The guys Jeremy I believe, and Austin and the team are really great. There is no limit on winning them. So I used them for 2 oil changes and one for a battery replacement. No issues at all. So I had a tire alignment scheduled for tomorrow morning. PLEASE PLEASE!!! steer clear of dealing with this entity in Downers Grove. I took my vehicles to them (when they were known by a different name) for YEARS!!! Then for whatever business reason, they changed hands). The service has deteriorated immensely. Unbelievably bad. I took my Jeep in for noise that was coming from the rear, and they fixed the front! And charged me $500+. I brought it back in and they found the problem in the rear, and charged me another $330. These people don't have a clue how to deal with mechanical issues. Stay away!!! Okay folks, we all know that getting a 5 from me is almost impossible. But!!!! When someone gives me an estimate time and can deliver with 15 minutes of that time, I think a 5 star is warranted. Took my car in for a fuel issue. They also looked for an antifreeze leak, and told me it was at the bleeder valve. They charged too much for the easy fuel leak which seems to be fixed for now. But now my Anti Freeze Overflow reservoir is now leaking due to a crack that I'm sure they caused from over pressuring the system to test it. I replaced the overflow bottle 2 years ago and now I need to replace it again. I'm not going back. read more

I have a background in automotive and my father was a mechanic and I worked at a quick lube place for years, so impressing me is difficult in this field. It's a smaller 4 bay shop with a small crew but everyone was super nice and got me in/out in about 30min for my oil change, around noon on a Friday. I will recommend "Mike's" to others for sure. They've repaired several things on my car and through the price was good and the people very nice, they couldn't seem to repair the opening mechanism on the drivers door. I had my oil changed at the dealership, and they gave me a list of all the things that I needed, I was quoted over $900. I took it to Mikes, 2 blocks away, they actually used a test strip to show me what fluids were bad. Turns out , all fluids were fine, but the battery needs to be changed soon, which Toyota didn't tell me about, and just the brakes needed to be cleaned and adjusted .
