Been using Orange landscaping on and off for 3 years. The company has been used for mowing, spring…read morecleanup and other projects. The quality was average to poor. Later we found out they overcharge for all their work. Mowing ($144.00 weekly for 2 acres: with numerous planting beds and pool. So not a full 2 acres to mow): We have noticed a pattern every season with this company. Delio starts the mowing season with up to a three-man crew. Delio and another person on the mowers and someone else on a line trimmer/blower. First couple of jobs, okay, especially at the front of the property, while The backyard always seems to be average to poor. As the season progresses the crew gets cut back to two. Then no one but Delio shows up. At two men, the weed wacking starts to suffer and they barely clean hard areas off with the blower. When it gets towards the end of the summer it's only Delio working. At this point the job really takes a nosedive. Delio does an okay job mowing, but uses the line trimmer very sparingly. Lots of areas with missed spots or not hit at all. Especially places he thinks you will not check. Spring Cleanup ($3790): First issue, the price. after receiving this service from Orange for two springs and not being completely thrilled with the work, we contacted other companies to compare prices. Apparently, Orange was charging us nearly a thousand dollars more than most companies we reached out to (We have written estimates and e-mails to back this up). We presented a estimate provided by Patriot landscaping for $2800 for spring cleanup to Delio last season and asked if he could reduce his rate. He only agreed to deduct approximately $400. What we received for that reduction was decent pruning but skimping on mulch, terrible weed cleanup and poor overall planting bed cleaning. Since I thought he was a decent person and we worked with him a few times I decided to give this company one last try, it was a mistake. I contacted Orange this spring for the spring cleanup. It is supposed to include bed cleaning, de-weeding, pruning, edging, mulch and pre-emergent. We paid full price. What we got was: sloppy pruning. Terrible weed removal. What they call weed removal is to weed whack what they think you will see,(not pull the weeds) and cover it with mulch. The result of this sloppy and lazy practice, combined with the fact that they did not even put down the pre-emergent we paid for is weeds popping up all over. Now we will have to do the work Orange was paid for but did not do. Also, because I was sick for a week and needed to finish some yard work before Orange was scheduled to arrive. I called and asked if he could come by the following week. The owner only agreed to give me 3 days past the original scheduled day. Delio, not I scheduled the work for 5/12 & 5/13. On the second day, 5/13, Delio shows up, and Delio not I decided to reschedule and not have his crew work because it rained a bit overnight and the ground was damp. It did not rain at all during that day on 5/13 until late that evening. When I called about not showing up. He said it was too wet. I looked at the next day forecast (5/14) and there was a good to very good chance of rain throughout the day. During the phone call I expressed my concern to Delio about installing black dyed mulch in the rain and the damage it can do to surfaces (walkway, siding, white PVC railing). His reply was not to worry his guys will be careful and it will be fine. Sure enough, it was NOT FINE! His crew stained our walkway. Our hardi-plank painted light yellow siding. Our white pvc railing and our new white chaise lounge chairs. My wife and I, 3 weeks later, are still trying to remove stains. Moving on. That morning when his crew arrived and immediately began mulching in the rain. I took a walk around the back of the property. What I found was piles of debris they left and they did not clean up. There was also twigs leaves and all kinds of messes all around the rear of the house. I called and I asked Delio if his guys were done cleaning and he said YES. I told him, then we have an issue. He showed up to the site and saw the mess and talked to one of his crew. They had to stop mulching and clean the mess. I think they would have been okay trying to hide it if I didn't notice. At the end of the current job Delio blamed his crews' shortcomings on me. Said my complaining made them nervous and my rescheduling caused them to work in the rain. Even though it was Delio not me that decided to NOT WORK on 5/13 (no rain) and reschedule to 5/14 (rain all day). I shared my displeasure with Delio about the whole job and his solution when you are not happy is to tell you the issues are your fault and to quit. He left us with 2 to 2 1/2-foot-high grass that I had to push mow for over 7 hours. Because most mowing companies are at capacity, we had to hustle to find another company last minute. DO NOT USE ORANGE!!

I would love to give a 5-star review because when they were cutting my grass they did a great job!…read moreThen last summer they didn't make it to my house every week as agreed. When I asked about this the owner explained a recent tragedy befell him. So I, being the big hearted person I am, forgave this. Then I asked for an estimate on trimming some bushes. I got it, agreed, and never got the work done. This was around the time of the last mowing for 2017. So I paid for the mowing and asked about the bushes. No response. I said Eff it I'll find someone else to do it for a lot more affordable of a price. I don't hold grudges so I wanted them to mow my lawn this year. That's eat. I recall last year him saying there is no break in service unless the customer asks, but after a couple weeks I began to wonder. So I sent a very nice email asking if they were in fact doing my house again this year. No response. I emailed again the following week. Nothing. The week after I texted and called. Nada. I've been ghosted before but never by a business! Completely uncalled for! I would have been ok if they reached out to me and said they can no longer service my area/house. Fine. But just to give me nothing and to not reply. Very unprofessional. So I guess if they don't decide to break up with you, you are solid. If they do though, don't be expecting a notification.

Excellent service and value for the money…read more We needed a 5 ft no-climb horse fence, including some clearing of the brush where the fence would go. Jaime of JJ Landscaping did a site visit, listened to what we wanted, and gave a very reasonable estimate to do exactly that. Another, more established fence company, sent a rep who tried to talk us into a chain link fence and, when he sent the quote, the quote did not include the horse fence at all, but instead just the chain link - and noted that I would need to find someone else to clear the land for the fence (even though at the site visit their rep assured us he would quote the horse fence and clearing the brush). During installation, JJ was very responsive to our needs and asked for how we'd like to proceed when small issues arose. They were responsive to relatively small additions we decided to make as the work progressed (clearing some additional land and installing some rainwater control measures) - and did the additional work at reasonable cost. When we needed to take delivery of our animals a bit earlier than expected, JJ put in some temporary measures to close off the gates that had not yet been completed, which allowed us to safely receive them. Jaime was excellent to work with. We have already contracted with him to do more work.

We have been in communication with VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions since March 12, 2026 regarding…read moreproblems with two projects which they completed on our home. In 2021 they completed a waterproofing project which carries a 12 year warranty, and in 2022 they completed a patio installation which carries a 5 year warranty. As of April 22, 2026, VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions has not provided a solution to either of these problems. Our foundation wall was bowed before VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions excavated and waterproofed our home in 2021. We showed the bowed wall to VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions before the excavation began, and they recommended proceeding with the project without reinforcing the wall. We began to see small cracks in the foundation wall shortly after VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions completed the waterproofing. We showed the cracked wall to VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions before they installed our patio in 2022. VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions assured us that the cracks were not a problem. However, the cracks have grown substantially since then, and an independent structural engineer has confirmed that the wall is failing. In addition, the patio is sinking, the exterior waterproofing membrane is slipping, and there is a damp smell in our home near the cracked wall. In order to provide access to the cracked foundation wall for repairs, our patio will have to be removed, and the exterior of our home will have to be excavated again. Once the engineer's recommended repairs have been completed, the wall will have to be waterproofed again, and our yard will have to be regraded again. Finally, our patio will have to be reinstalled. We paid VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions to do all of this work in 2021 and 2022 because we trusted their professional opinion about our foundation wall. We now have to pay another contractor to do all of this work again so that our foundation wall can be reinforced. VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions has stated that they will not honor the warranty on the waterproofing project because the man who estimated the project is no longer employed by VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions. They have not provided details about how they will honor the warranty on the patio installation. We will update our review if VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions honors the warranties on their work. In the meantime, we cannot recommend VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions.

We had drainage and hardscaping done by VM. The drainage part came out great and we're very happy…read morewith it. But the hardscaping is really bad and I would recommend you avoid this company if you want a flagstone patio. The installation team generated huge clouds of dust all day long because they didn't have a wet saw. It covered my side yard as well as my neighbors'. They also didn't wear any PPE, which is unsafe and unprofessional. The patio is graded correctly and has helped with water management issues, but they installed a dozen stones that were clearly damaged with large scratches and gouges. I called the project manager out and they replaced ten of the most damaged stones, but honestly they should not have taken delivery of this product and they should not have installed it. They should have sent it back to their supplier to get it swapped out. The mortar work is also very messy and overall makes the patio look bad. The mortar comes up over the edges of the stones and there are drips and smears to this day. I hope the weather would even it out over time but now a couple months later, it still looks really bad. We have neighbors who just got a new flagstone patio done by another company and the difference is stark. Their stones are perfect and the mortar has clean lines and looks great. Nice people and to their credit, they did come back after the initial install and put significant effort into improving it. But for the money, it's still not a good value.
