They made it a point to understand what type of speaker upgrade I was looking for and they performed a sound check to identify what was required. I was concerned about taking the dash apart (factory speakers) because of the age of the vehicle. Once they recommended replacement speakers, I let them know that I could schedule an appointment for later to come in for the installation, but they were able to get the speakers and install them while I waited. They were very knowledgeable about the replacement process and the speakers sound great. This was something that I had wanted to do for a very long time and this shop made it happen quickly. My vehicle was…read morereceived on July 17th, and I was told that I would receive a text with an update on the completion date. After four days of no notice, I called and was told that my vehicle was still being worked on. I was informed that, due to their painter being sick and their need to acquire a painter from another store, my completion date would be moved. Ironically, about 20 minutes after I hung up, I received a status text update stating a completion date of July 24th. I remained patient, even when the date was changed to the 28th. However, as I was en route to pick up my vehicle, I received a notice that it was not ready. Upon arriving, I was told that the painter was on vacation and that they would have my vehicle ready the very next day. The following morning, I called just to confirm that it would be ready. My representative, Jessica, assured me that my vehicle would be ready that evening at 4:30 PM. I turned in my rental car to Enterprise at exactly 4:00 PM and requested transport to Joe Hudson. At about 4:15 PM, while the driver and I were on the way, I received a call stating that my car was not actually ready because the technician did not like the part being installed. This explanation didn't make sense, considering my previous conversation with Jessica, where I was told the issue was due to the painter's unavailability. I feel like I was being lied to. The driver had to return me to the rental store, which meant I had to redo the rental on my credit card, causing funds to be frozen on my card for the second time in one day. The communication provided by my representative was very poor. Although the body shop covered the remainder of the rental time, I did not feel that they were apologetic for wasting my time--not once, but twice. On the actual pick-up day, there was a car part left in my front seat. I informed the front office, and they claimed it was something that came off my car, but they could not visually match it to anything on my vehicle, as I only came in for a busted tail light. My hope is that communication is improved moving forward, because the service I received was very unsatisfactory.

Krista (sales technician) goes above and beyond to ensure everything is fairly priced and handled properly & efficiently. Carlos (the owner) was very friendly and gave me a ride back to work when he realized I didn't have one. Michael and the guys in the shop did a wonderful job of painting and got my car painted quickly, while still delivering high-quality work. In fact, they got my car finished earlier than expected and knew I needed my car over the weekend, but they asked if I could bring it back on Monday because they wanted to touch up a tiny spot they saw that was completely unnoticeable to me. It is evident that they have high attention to detail and value the quality of their work. First, I just wanted a painless dent removal for a small area on the quarter back panel where I scrubbed a tree., which is what is advertised on their site. I ended up getting the entire vehicle painted and that is where I messed up. It took 2 weeks from the time they said it would be finished. I was paying out of pocket so that meant getting a rental car for 3 weeks. That cost me a fortune. The painter that painted my vehicle had all sorts of debris in the paint, pits, and runs on the door. Took it back and they had no choice but to acknowledge the terrible job that was done. Repainted and it is no better and is cracking on the bumper after only a month. They forgot to paint the mirrors and I had to take it back for that. They took the mirror apart to keep it to repaint so I wouldn't have to rent another car. Here's the really bad part. After returning the vehicle for the second time they offered to install a lower bumper I inquired about having installed, for free for all of the inconvenience. I agreed. However, after picking the vehicle up they left the plastic undercarriage hanging. I didn't notice this until half way home I started hearing a terrible crunching scrubbing sound that was coming from underneath the car and in the wheel well. I pulled over and plastic and rubber was just ripped up underneath and inside of the wheel well. I took the car back to them and he claimed they fixed it to where it wouldn't drag the ground anymore. I didn't realize that fixing it meant chopping off the undercarriage that was dragging underneath the vehicle. In the end it ended up costing me rental car fees (1 month total), a broken mirror (took apart, clips on bezel is broken won't stay closed), over 800 dollars in damage to the vehicle and on top of all that, the paint job is garbage. TERRIBLE Maaco to do business with. I can't say its that way with all Maacos but that Birmingham location should be avoided at all cost.

When I arrived a little after four and walked into the office, a friendly man named Hubert greeted me and asked me how he could help me. .
