Wow. Such a great place - affordable, communicative, great service, and well-managed. Above all else, the customer service is impeccable. The two brothers go above and beyond. Around this time last year, something was off with my brakes and they spent over two hours diagnosing it, driving around with me in the car, and finding the issue. They even gave me a free set of windshield wipers because they thought they had inconvenienced me. My car stopped working on the highway yesterday. Towed by AAA to this place. I was told "checking the car" and getting a quote would be "free." Next day, I returned and was charged ~$70 for the worker to use their transmission fluid as part of their "check" without my knowledge. I was quoted $6000 for both radiator and transmission repairs. Luckily, I turned down this offer and towed my car to a nearby Toyota dealership who said the transmissions is working fine! The repair would only cost $1200. I was misinformed, and lied to. Lady said full service, I said I didn't realize and I'll go elsewhere. She stopped me in a hurry and said no no same price. I asked for a gallon and a half to fill up a loaner car. I watched her get beyond that mark by a lot and then look at me to see if I was watching and do a couple more tiny squeezes to drive the price up. I hand her my card and she goes "you don't have cash?!" I said, I don't have change. She had squeezed the price up to 5.25 when it should have been well under 5. She said it was fine if I didn't have change and continued to insist I pay cash. I didn't end up having a 5 and handed her a $10 thinking she'd give me the 5 she had. She goes, 1 min and runs inside and comes out with exact change. I didn't want a handful of coins which is why I was going to pay card before she continued to insist I pay cash. This is after she nickel and dimed the price displayed on the gauge. I'll never go back here. Shame they only think about the short term and a few cents profit instead of making a long term customer out of someone because I drive by this place often. This is cheaper than the shell across the street but their bait and switch from card to cash and them overfilling and nickel and diming you at your expense ends up making it just about the same price, if not more. Do not go here. There's a speedway 30 seconds down the street that's usually only the same price or just 5 cents more. With a credit card that you're actually allowed to use and not being ripped off for 25-50 extra cents, it ends up being cheaper. read more

Very disappointing - very bad experience with these two guys running the shop. They overpromise and pretend to be knowledgeable on Mustangs but screw up my Mustang. I wanted my carburetor sealed and cleaned and Tony recommended to rebuild it from "a friend who he knows and is expert" in doing it. He couldn't even do it on his own. The bad thing is that I trusted him. My car was in the shop for six weeks and I had to chase him 4 times. When I got it back the car had too high idle, was running too rich, needed loads of gas to prevent from dying on the street but did not even accelerate. He totally messed up a beauty that was running well before! When I complained to him twice he told me to get a new carburetor!!! And again started to make promises he would help me to find more information and text me back. It never happened of course. Anyhow I did not believe him when he told me that. read more

You might think that if you brought your car to a repair place for a brake job, and the work was not done, that you would not think very highly of that place, but when Tony at Mike's Auto Repair in Wellesley told me that he wouldn't advise doing the brakes, he may have saved me from a very bad accident. You see, he noticed that there was a large section of subframe that had rusted out on my 13 year old car, and could potentially fail to hold the engine in place! While some places may have just done the brake work first, and then told me about the problem (or possibly not mentioned it at all,) I much appreciated his honesty. And he wasn't trying to sell me on body repairs either. In fact, he recommended I junk the car--which I did. Tony and his brother run this repair shop and gas station, which was started by their father over 35 years ago. They impressed me with their courtesy, and patient and thorough explanation of the situation. Tony even took video of the undercarriage to show me. Some of the other guys that work there seem to be friends of theirs from way back, and all in all, I got good vibes here. I highly recommend Mike's. read more

These guys are horrible not only did he not call to tell me what was wrong with my car, when they did fixed it he doubled the price for what he told me because he had to get a thermostat which cost$ 70 , a month in a half later im leaking anti freeze again, i come in to tell them 2 look at it. He tells me to go wait in my car because he wasn't the one who fixed it and that they went to go get ice cream. So when the mechanic does come back they disregard me, have me sitting for like 30 minutes in my car, horrible experience now i gotta go to another mechanic and pay him for there fuck up. I stopped here yesterday on my way home from work since the gas was a reasonable price. They pumped my gas for me. I asked if they had air pumps and the man working there put the air in my tires for me (which is great because I hate doing that). I tried to tip him $5 but he would only take $1. Great service. Mike's Auto Repair is amazing. I went to another auto shop/dealership in Wellesley and was told I needed to buy another water pump for $700 plus. I called around and an employee at AutoZone recommended I go to Mike's. I called Mike's up and the mechanic there (Tony) told me he could put in a water pump for 300 dollars less and said he would take me home while he was working on it if needed (since I only have one car and changing a water pump can take a while). When I brought my car there, he offered to check over the car to make sure I actually needed a water pump and found out that I did not. He seriously saved me tons of money and didn't even charge me for checking the car. I wish that more repair shops were like Mike's and cared about their customers more than they cared about how much they could make. If you need any work on your car, give them a call. read more

Great shop! Tony saved me thousands of dollars by figuring out that it was my turbo and not a new engine I needed contrary to what I was told at Firestone. He then looked at a car I was thinking of buying for me and helped me identify potential problems. I highly recommend this garage. Honesty and integrity seem like a priority. These guys are some of the best in the business. I've fixed a lot of cars in my day, and I've driven twice as many that we're in horrible shape. The only way that's even possible is because of Mike and his team. I always feel comfortable taking my car here because they have always been honest with me about the cost, and if they think it's something that can wait, or if I'm better off going through the dealership/insurance. Okay 1st of all, Al the salesman you're awful. What salesman goes to a place to perform unwanted solicitation and gets so butt hurt to give a great shop one star and hurt their online image lol. Just because you failed at your job of building a genuine relationship without (what now seems more probable harassment given your vindictiveness) annoying your potential lead. Anyways. I love this shop. My car randomly broke down near by and I was so lucky that it was this shop. I was seen right away and they diagnosed the issue and took their time to explain it to me. They didnt have the part but explained I could get the part up the street at AutoZone because theyre unable to leave their business unattended. The employees and the owner were so pleasant, frank, and helpful. They estimated a great price (one even suitable enough for a broke college student). As a women I go to a lot of shops and they act like I don't know anything about my own car. They usually try to mislead me and act like there is only one solution that they can do, but anyone who knows about fixing anything there's a possibility of fixing the symptom but not the root cause. The mechanics were great in working with me and listening to my experience to understand my cars issues. They were upfront in what steps they were to take to identify the issue. I would highly recommend, fast, friendly, honest, great valued service. Also brownie points for the couch in the waiting room with comics. My phone was dying and it kept me entertained. I went there to get gas on Friday. Two men were standing right near a bay, and one of them handed the other a large pile of cash. That to me looked a little suspicious, but I decided it was none of my business and I'd just get my gas and go. One of them approached my car, and asked me if he could fill up my car. I had only my debit card, so I asked him, "Oh, this isn't a self-serve? I only have my card." There wasn't any sign that I could see that said it was not a self-serve station, and eventually, he said I could pump the gas myself. I started to get out to swipe my card and all that stuff, when he said that cards only work at the other bay. OK, fine. I drove around, ready to use the other one...and then another car pulled up. He seemed to give them the same, "I'll pump your gas for you!" pitch, and very rudely told me I had to leave and that I'd be paying more elsewhere. There was no reason he could not have directed them over to the other one and pumped gas there. (There were no "out of order" signs on it or anything.) I now understand why I almost never see cars at the gas station. Such terrible service! If that guy wants to lose business, he's sure lost mine! read more
