On the way down, heard an odd sound coming from under the front of the car at highway speeds. Checked under the car and a panel under the engine that was loose. At higher speeds it fluttered up and down. I'm not a mechanic nor have a lift to get under the car. We were in the neighborhood a couple days later, and I brought the car over just to see what they could do. Although they're always busy, they had an empty bay, and put the car up on the lift. Brian explained it was the clips that hold the "belly pan" in place. He fixed it in about five minutes; and when I asked "how much?" his answer was i'm a good customer. There's no charge. I just took a delivery of a pre-owned Volvo that I located here through CarFax -- again, they have "nothing to hide." I would generalize and say that most shops will pick up their "to sell" cars, wash them, vacuum them out, put them on the lot, and hang up a price tag. That's NOT the Fairwind way... Mirek is an old-country mechanic that likes for things to be "right" and wants to be able to sleep at night, knowing that he's done the right thing for his customers. It's almost like he's preparing the car for himself. What I experienced was a car with no compromises. One that's been thoroughly been checked out and brought up to a "ready-to-go" level.
