As soon as I picked up I notice a short indication on the dashboard on a previous Mercedes this indicated a short prevent the ac engaging. The ac didn't work and subsequently brought to Mercedes specialist couldn't find the short which apparently had deliberately caused. Noticed a squeaking sound as soon as I picked up the car it got louder and when I took it to another shop they couldn't figure out how to remove the axel except to cut it with a saw. The owner of the shop only worked Mercedes for 40 years plus. Soon after (I hadn't let the car out of my site ) the differential went. Some how caustic material contaminated the oil.

The crew knows what they're doing, the prices are on par and everything gets done in a timely manner. I think it's a nice feature that you can schedule an appointment ahead of time if you like to ensure that your vehicle will get in when need be. I have had no issues with anything while working for them. They've also brought to my attention a few items they felt (notice, i say they felt) I would want to get taken care of. I have experience working in an auto shop, so when they bring such an item to my attention, I ask if I can go out and they show me what they are talking about. They have no problem with this. I haven't had the Pawling crew perform any work on my vehicle yet, but I have had the New Milford location, and they did a fine job and their price point was reasonable for their service as well. Why do I come back?? Simple, a great price on oil changes and tire rotations. (well, you can't beat the price on a tire rotation if you purchase tires through mavis, b/c rotations are free for life). I started off giving these guys 3 stars, but with my research into prices of labor, and prices per tire, and the helpfulness of these guys, I'll bump it up a little. And by the way...they'll be slow if they're busy, but who wouldn't? And yes (this is because of other reviews I am reading) they are going to point out items that may be of concern to you - you don't have to buy if you don't want, BUT it is THEIR job and moral duty to point out items that could be possible safety issues - it is up to YOU to make the decision if it is something YOU want to fix - don't hate on a guy for trying to do their job!

Recently, we hit a deer carcass one night when we had no option to switch lanes. The front bumper eventually popped off on one side and it had to be replaced. We took it to Joe's. There was so much damage done and we were finally able to get it covered by them. Out of all the shops in the area my hubby chose this one due to their really high recommendation from our friends. We decided to give them a try and call them up for a quote for replacing some parts and doing a paint job on our car to fix some chips it had. I honestly didn't think it would look uniform, after all, there are so many shades of red out there. We were really worried about getting some crazy missmatchy stuff. We dropped the car off on a Monday and by Friday it was ready. We were a little nervous to go see it and to our surprise, the paint job was IMMACULATE. Very professional, communicative and precise. Usually guys are picky with their cars but in my case, I'm probably the pickiest one with ours LOL! I did NOT think they'd be able to pull this off and give us a squeaky clean almost brand new looking car back. We do already take care of our car but they made it look even more fabulous. Justin was very great at his customer service skills and we really appreciate everything you all did for us! We will definitely continue to recommend Stan's to anyone that needs it!
