About a year and a half ago I had transmission problems with my expedition. Mike's Dependable Automotive was suggested by multiple community figureheads. They assisted me with my repairs and offered suggestions on how to have it completed right and at the lowest cost to me. I've been impressed with their service and quality, not only with that experience but with multiple other vehicles I have taken there since my initial impression. They have always been friendly, helpful, and thorough. This is an especially pleasant experience since they also have historically had the lowest prices. AAA thought enough of this company to authorize a 60 mile tow to their shop! This is a clean, well organized business, with a hands on owner, who went well out of his way to get me back on the road and put my mind at ease every step of the way. You need additional work outside their capability, Mike will call around and make sure you are taken care of. You need a hotel during repairs, Mike will find a satisfying room at a good rate. My radiator blew up on my 2007 Toyota Camry and took out the engine before I could get it shut off. Since it is in very good shape I decided to get a new engine instead of a new car. I took it to dependable and they said they had a GOOD engine with lite meddle so I went for it. When I went to pick it up the shop manager commented that I had after market exhaust because it was louder than a normal Camry. I argued a bit because I know better but eventually gave up and drove it home to see what they had done. The air box lid wad loose and just hanging AND the air intake tube was not connected to the intake manifold. The engine was drawing air straight from the engine compartment WITHOUT going through the filter. They left all that undone then tried to convince me it was an exhaust problem! Also, I had then put a new belt on while it was in the shop. The belt they put on was too small and ended up wearing out the water pump. I had to replace the pump AND the belt when I realized it works not go back on the car. They must have used crowbars to get it on. If I could give these guys 0 stars I would. read more
