Called Mike (he answers his own calls!) on a 107-degree day afternoon. He routed Brian to my home to diagnose a dead AC unit. He could have stopped at just the blown fuse but he did a thorough troubleshooting job advised me the capacitor was good but showed me that it could cause trouble in the future (the top was starting to bulge a bit). Excellent Service, Jason worked and acted like a real professional. He got right to business with diagnosing my HVAC. When there is no refrigerant in your system there must be a reason and there is 100's of feet of copper tubing that could fail. Once he found the leak in the King Valve, he found one and replaced it, and recharged the entire system, did a final check in about 3 hours. If I had a business, {any business} I would hang on to a guy like Jason, he's worth a little higher pay. The work and charges were fair, reasonable and the best you will get. I called Mike's on a Saturday morning after my AC unit stopped working the night before. Mike's wife Anna took the call and she was a pleasure to deal with. She arranged for Mike to come out by noon. Mike came out within a few hours of my initial call to take a look at my A/C unit that had unexpectedly quit the day before. He took one look at it and within 15 minutes he had it back running and cooling like a champ. My stupidity over trying to save a lizard that had fallen into the unit. I had pulled the top cover off and in doing so allowed a bracket to fall down into the unit and obstruct the fan which then overheated the motor. Thankfully the motor's built in failsafe shutdown went into effect and the unit shut itself down. Once the bracket was put back in place the motor and fan purred back to life and the unit immediately started pumping out cold air. Mike didn't even want to service the unit as he said it was putting out ice cold air. I paid for the service call, gave him a little tip and off he went and we were both happy. Mike and Brian are an excellent team. I was looking to recharge my air conditioner late Saturday when I got a hold of Mike. While he was closed that day, he promised to come over Sunday morning at 9. He was prompt. He saw it was a bad leak and he quickly looked around to see if he could find it. Another air conditioning service had informed me that would have to do an extensive leak test over the winter. Mike, however, found it fast in the evaporative coil because he felt oil in the exhaust PVC tube. He was able to get a replacement coil on Monday and was prompt in coming over at his appointment time at 10. Because my leaky evaporative coil had been bolted in from behind, he had to cut it up to remove it when it should have just slid out. He replaced the coil with one that did slide out, put foil on to prevent leaks, and cleaned up nicely. While the work obviously cost more than a simple recharge, it saves money in the long run, since you would not have to recharge it twice and the price of refrigerant is going up monthly. read more

Our AC broke last weekend and we were desperate in a 102 degree temperature. Given it was a long Labor Day weekend, we called on Mike's who said he will be able to come the next day, but will attempt to be there same day. To our surprise, he was at our door at 6:30 PM. He was very courteous and professional, and all it took him was 5 minutes to figure out the problem. Apparently the electrical wiring on the back of the unit was loose and tampered with (Mike thinks it was chewed on by a rat). Mike re-wired in 15 minutes and charged us only the service call. Our condensing unit stopped working on one of the hottest days of the year. Tried contacting several a/c repair businesses, but either they were too busy and couldn't fit me in for at least five days out, left several voice messages and most wouldn't return my calls. After seeing A+ rating on bbb I decided to call. Spoke with his office at 8:40 am and they said he would call me back. Two minutes later Mike called me back. What service! He came two hours later as he said he would. He showed me the blown capacitor. He installed a new capacitor and added a starter booster because the unit was over 10 years old. He said the starter should extend the life of the unit a least another 5 years. He washed down the unit with a garden hose and recommended I do likewise once a year. He gave me a one year guarantee on his work. Even threw in a new filter. I was also fortunate to be near his business so he fit me in on his busy route. I was screwed by another contractor who did not install the coil and AC condensate line correctly and caused thousands of dollars of damage to my property. That contractor did not want to fix the issue because the work is out of the warranty. I called around 730 am, I am not sure what man I was talking to but I let him know that my ac is only blowing out hot air and I wanted to know what a service call cost. he let me know it was 49.95 and asked where I ws located and when I let him know Rancho Cucamonga, he said he had two calls there this morning and he would be able to come afterwards. I then sked if they offered senior discounts because it was for my father's house. He said yes and then rudely asked who was paying. I let him know that my father wasn't home at he time and I was trying to jut get it looked at for him. He then said well I need to know if you or your father are paying and I told him I wasnt sure depending on what was wrong with the unit. He then said "well you havent given me the address yet." So I politely replied, " you know...I'm just going to call someone else." and yet again he rudely responded, " ya you should." and hung up. I have never had work done by this company, so they may due good work but sure as hek have horrible customer service. The wife/woman that answered the phone is completely ignorant of what services they have to offer. I wanted to buy two of their best air conditioners to install in the house if it was impossible to fix the current one that just broke down. But she kept going around in circles about payment after he was finished and that I had to physically be present to witness him working. I specifically told her that I was willing to pay upfront for the service before he arrives and any additional payment I can just pay the total in cash or through my card. But she had an attitude worst than most of my patients that are ordered by the courts to see a psychologist or psychiatrist. How can you have a mentally unstable person answering phones?
