I stopped off at Fat Mike's Texas Weiners where I got his Texas Chili Cheeseburger which has cheese, his homemade chili with onions. This was so delicious, juicy, and tasty. I cannot stop at Fat Mike's and not get one of his famous chili dogs with mustard and onions. Now unlike most other places these dogs are deep fried giving Fat Mike's unique flavor and taste. Now his fries are pre-frozen, not a deal breaker in anyway, he cooks them to order to give each customer hot and fresh fries. Mike also offered me a piece of zucchini bread which was homemade by his family member. I was also informed by Mike that this past Memorial Day he was visited by another content creator which I posted about Mikes on his channel was @vacationeducation, yep, the Vaca J was here. Welcome to today's video and the start of Memorial Day Weekend. In past videos, you've seen how…read moreamazing the American Grill's burgers, cheesesteaks, and chili dogs are, but this is my first time trying their smoked meats. I went for the two-meat combo with smoked ribs and wings--the wings came with sweet chili sauce, and I used their signature BBQ sauce on the ribs. You also get two sides, so I chose mac and cheese and slaw. The service was excellent as always, and the hospitality felt just like being at a southern-style restaurant. The slaw was on the drier side but very tasty, and the mac and cheese was unlike anything local--unique and different in the best way. The wings were smoked to perfection, crispy with great flavor, and I tried their "yellow cap" sauce since it's recommended for chicken. The ribs were meaty, tender, and just as good as the wings. For a taste that reminds me of the South, the American Grill is the place to be. Big thanks to the owners and staff for consistently providing great food and service. The food was ready when I arrived, so great service there. The bread is a little different than most other restaurants and pizza joints up here, but a very good seeded role. This place looks like it hasn't changed in the last 30 years and that's quite charming for a place to be hanging on all this time.
