Wow!! I could not have asked for better service than what I received!! We have a commercial grade key pad with an entry code lock on our door. While the key pad was working the lock was not opening. I called Mike and left a message. He called me back within 15 minutes!! He then came over within an hour an half on a Thursday about 4:30pm. He and was able to asses the situation, and determine a piece inside the latch mechanism broke, leaving our guests unable to get into our unit because of it. Mike ordered the part needed right away. I was not able to be at the unit, but Mike, communicated promptly and thoroughly with me each step of the way!! Then, Shawn continued with the same awesome service and communication the next day. He let me know he was able to get the part needed to fix the lock and was able to come over first thing in the morning. Our door was fixed by 10:30am. I again was not able to be at the location, but Shawn communicated with me each step of the way and sent me a video of everything working perfectly. Our guests were once again able to get into our business. :) Both Mike and Shawn were kind, prompt, and clear with everything they needed to do to fix the lock and accurate with when they would be arriving to the location. Again, I could not have asked for better communication and service!! I thought because the service was so awesome the cost was not going to be. But, it wasn't bad at all!! Shawn of Mike's Locksmith is the absolute best!! Our old Mortise lock broke, and we thought it'd be the perfect opportunity to replace it with more modern hardware. I called three other locksmiths before finding Mike/Shawn. Two of them wouldn't take the job because it was too complicated (we didn't expect this setback), and the other would, but the quote/consultation interaction felt off (initially told us it wasn't possible but after ripping through the packaging of our new hardware, he said it could be done; overall felt brash/unprofessional). He helped me through the entire journey of replacing my condo's front door hardware and evaluating possible repair needs on the back patio door (which has a complicated built-in lock). Shawn went above and beyond to honor his original quote --- even when the new, smart Schlage-brand deadbolt that I provided and he installed, proved to be defective. (Shawn spoke with Schlage customer support for 45 minutes trying to get the smart deadbolt to work and following all of Schlage's troubleshooting suggestions.) I ordered a replacement from Home Depot/Schlage, and Shawn kindly returned to replace the defective deadbolt without charging extra for this second trip. I called MIke in a panic after my garage was broken in to last night. Thieves got our keys from the contractor's lockbox which allowed them to gain entry, and they still have my house keys. I could not go to work or leave the house for fear of them returning and gaining entry to the house. Mike called me back within 2 minutes, was kind and comforting, and made a plan to get here as soon as he could (he had jobs with the sheriff's office and another job he could not re-schedule).
