Not a good place for mower repairs and not good business practices overall…read more Visited with my machine and let them know what I needed. (Mower blade replacement and check battery - trouble starting) Was quoted a price/estimate and the rough ballpark of time it would take based on what I wanted to be serviced on my rider mower. Several additional things were offered or heavily encouraged during the "intake". I explained that I thought that I didn't need much, tractor was relatively new and ran fine and little to no hours of use on it. Gentlemen that did intake said something like - well we check everything or recommend oil change and such if we are going to put time or labor into it anyway. I asked for approx price of each service. He said they would call me with a specifics and a quote and exact details/prices and wouldn't do anything without my explicit consent. He did say it was busy season, that everyone was getting lawn equipment, machines, and snow removal equipment tuned up and ready or fixed and that it would take a week or 2 before mine would be looked at - because a few machines were ahead of me - absolutely fine. I explained that time frame worked fine - that I didn't need it right back that week or even 2, that I would actually be away for a week - so the timeline fit perfect for me. He also explained typical prices of each of the things he recommended and kind of blew it off saying under 100 or so or if not - not much more. Yea, none of it was true or close to accurate at all. A few weeks went by and I hadn't heard so I followed up and called. They said they would check on it and get back to me. later they called and said it hadn't been looked at yet!? I said how can that be - and he said well there is a note that said you would be away so we didn't start on it or even look at it. That's a huge fail. They also basically admitted (and I watched it happen with my own eyes) that they let regulars skip the line and backlog. So fine, I had to wait, not a deal breaker. They called back a week or 2 later with a quote of 600 dollars. I was blown away and confused? for blade replacements or sharpening? This can't be. Well they said when we looked at some of the stuff, they recommended (or already did the work without my authorization - like promised) that some of the pulleys and pieces were worn and they felt needed replacement. I specifically said I didn't want any extras or new battery or anything until I was given the prices. I went back to get my machine and asked to speak to manager about price. He took off an hour of labor and reduced price of some of the parts to help me. Now, the price of parts was double or triple what I can get them for at Lowe's or online, so I understand markup but that's just shady and inexcusable. Even with the doscount it was more than double or triple what I was planning and agreed to spend. Guy said it would be 100 or under 2 tops. They wanted me to pay $500 or 450 plus tax for me to get my mower back! It gets even worse: The mower was sitting outside in the snow and soaked and covered in ice and snow and it wouldn't start. I've never once in my life had this machine not in a garage or shed but apparently it had sat outside in the rain and snow and ice for the 6 weeks they had it. One of the reasons I brought it in was the battery/mower wouldn't start. They said that was solved - but then it wouldn't start when I came to pick it up and get it up on my trailer to leave. They called technician that apparent "did the work" to come assist or take care of it and he couldn't get it going so they had more guys come out and help. They were training him in front of me. Not a good look. I left, with my machine in worse condition then it arrived in, costed me $500, took many more weeks then promised, was subjected to rain, snow and ice with no covering, tarp or care and when I mowed a sample patch of lawn- the blades were so uneven, it left lines in my yard - not minor, like the deck and blades weren't leveled at all. Poor service. Cannot recommend. I would rather drive an hour away then support the local guy in town - and that's a shame - I had several other machines with needs - snowblower; other mower, etc, and they lost my business forever - and I will spread the word. They were polite and courteous the whole time and didn't make me feel bad for being an idiot. Today, a snow storm dropped almost 2 feet of snow. I had trouble with my snowblower so I called them to pick it up since I couldn't bring it in. When he came to pick it up, he took a quick look at it and discovered the problem. A broken shear pin. He fixed it right away and didn't even have to take the machine back to his shop. Very helpful since this storm is likely to drop another 6-12 inches before it's done. I highly recommend Max S. I would be remiss, if I did not mention the two gals at the front office...both, more than helpful...they we're pleasant each time I required their assistance ! Let's talk food and ones favorite libation for a moment...next door to the front office us a fine restaurant called Yanni's ll...whoa...dock your boat at the marina, as it gives you a reason to stop by and have a great meal while sitting outside (or inside) with a view of all coming and goings of those of us that have our boats docked at the marina...plus a wonderful view of the Great Hudson River! Now, I ask you- is there any reason that you should not park yourself and your boat at Coeymans Landing Marina? Check out their website...great pictures of the restaurant and dockage. We chose Coeymans Landing Marina to haul, dismantle, and load the boat for shipping to South Dakota at the end of the trip. We chose Coeymans only because a lot of other online reviews were good and they used to be a big Mainship dealer in the 1990's. We pulled up on a windy Saturday morning. Five people helped us in -- a combination of marina employees and just friendly slipholders. Owners Hedy and Carl were very, very friendly and helpful. We went over the dismantling with Eric the service yard foreman for about half an hour, and then left to fly back to SD -- and they took it from there. Eric was fantastic. Without my even asking, he texted us photos of the work literally every few hours. The props had gotten damaged on the trip and Eric took care of getting them shipped out, reconditioned and rebalanced by a service in Newburgh, and then delivered back to Coeymans just in time to get loaded on the 18-wheeler. They did a fantastic job on prepping the boat for shipping, replaced the aft air conditioning unit because the old one was shot, and loaded that boat so well that everything arrived in South Dakota in good shape after a 1,500 mile road trip -- and all for a very reasonable price. We couldn't be happier with Coeymans, we got lucky.

He come to my place to…read morereplace the springs that roll up the canopies(cover's )over top of two, of three slide out additions. on my 42 foot Monaco. later that night we had a torrential downpour. I wake up at 9 PM. to my slide out auditions being out, less the covers (canopies ) he removed. so at 64 years of age, I have to jump out of bed, run out in the rain to put my slide outs in. Use every towel in the cabinets to dry off the top of the additions and the surrounding floor.I called the guy up, he says, ( well you didn't tell me to put them in ) I replied, George, there's some things you just shouldn't have to tell a man .Especially when I doubt you have insurance, and by looking at your set up, I could guess you couldn't afford to pay for even one of those slide units, if you ruined the ceiling on it. (first thing I did when he got here, was show him how to put the additions in and out.). So anyway, I gave him.$300, and he said that would cover his second show up fee. Now because he's not man enough to admit that he made a mistake and forgot to put them in. He's decided it'll be easier to just not come back. Meanwhile,I already paid for his second show up fee, and he has my units that go in the end of my tubes to put the tension on the springs . ( lesson of the day. Do not let a man who takes no accountability for his actions, anywhere near your $200,000 camper. ) good thing I took pics while he was working on it and got his license plate. My wife was involved in a collision and the sheriff called him to tow the car. He told my wife that…read morehe won't charge us unless the insurance pays for it. the car was in his place for 3 days because weekend came in. I went today and I told him that our insurance is not covering it and said he doesn't remember saying that he won't charge us and he charged me $600 (for towing which he said he wont and for 3 nights) which makes him a Liar. Then I had to tow my car all the way to Albany and he said it will cost $480 so I called other towing companies around for a cheaper price. I found one for $300. When I told him that this towing company will come and get my car he said "I do like that guy" and he added that "I wish I knew that you will call someone else, I would've charged you $150 a night" (he did charge me $50 a night which is the same for all in the area). When I was talking to one towing company and I told them that my car is here, he said that they are not allowed to come on his property. He was rude and unprofessional. All he wanted was more money and thats all he cared about. Not sure how are they still operating and why even the sheriff office would call them after such a horrible service. If you are working in such industry, you should make things easy for people and not make their life harder especially if someone is involved in a collision an hour away from their town.
