Terrible man. We have used Mike's screen service since 2013, but NEVER EVER AGAIN. I would echo all these other 1 star comments, they are absolutely accurate. Is this the same guy/company we have worked with for over 10 years?. He is extremely rude and belligerent. After Milton I called and requested about 8 screen panel replacements. In all the confusion post Helene and Milton I forgot that I had requested service, and I inadvertently asked a second time. Anyway, Mike called me back and went ballistic. I have never heard ANYONE act like that. Yelled at me that he had HEARD the first request, and leaving him a second request only pissed him off and wouldn't get the job done faster. I tried apologizing that I had forgotten my first request but he just kept up the yelling at me! This was a couple of weeks ago and yesterday he called me out of the blue, saying he had come to our house and would not replace the screens because I needed the entire 2 story, 17 year old cage replaced because it was leaning to the South! I questioned if it was actually our house he had looked at because a house across the street had a badly damaged pool screen frame, but he belligerently told me that he knew our house and our screens couldn't be repaired and we need an entire cage replacement. Well I am no pool screen expert, but I was the Mechanical Engineer for the largest oil field in America, Prudhoe Bay, and with 40 years experience do know a bit about structures. I proceeded to look at my pool cage multiple times from different angles, even from a distance to try to see any relative deformation of the cage, but I cannot see even a 2 deg vertical or horizontal deflection from any angle. I commented to my wife that this irrational behavior is frighteningly consistent with our earlier phone call from him, berating me to my inadvertent second request for repair. Here is what happened: The price for an added addendum was not written in the quote and I needed to talk to him regarding this price. Absolutely ridiculous! My husband called about a few screens that needed repaired and was told it would take two weeks for the repair and that we could be placed on a schedule where if the tech was available sooner they would call us. My husband called a few days later inquiring if there were any cancellations because we have multiple cats that like to go outside around our pool. The company then told us they first come to measure and then come back to repair and that they would call and let us know when, so in the meantime I felt two weeks was too long of a wait when there are so many companies available. We found another company that could fit us in the next day but we were afraid to cancel with the first company because we've had problems in the past with companies saying they will show up but then don't. We were going to call the first company and cancel if the second company didn't show. The second company showed up and did the repairs but before my husband could call the first company to cancel they sent a tech to the house to do the measurements. My husband was gone at this point to run some errands and was going to call while doing so. I'm at home by myself when Mike's company shows up unannounced, did not call any phone number on file, let himself through my gate into the backyard, again unannounced. I told the man we no longer needed their services that another company came and fixed it , before I could say anything else this man starts yelling at me, walks back through my yard and slammed my gate! If you want this kind of treatment well this is the company for you! Yelling at a woman makes you a real man huh? This time I have to share a company I can readily recommend. My lanai screens were 12 years old and I had a number of rips along the edges due to fatigue and age. Called Mike's Screen Service. Mike came out and estimated a number of panel replacements and I asked what would it cost to do the whole thing. Very pleasantly surprised at the cost so accepted his proposal. That was on Friday. HORRIBLE MAN..TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE UNPROFESSIONAL. used mike screen service april 2019 for full screen replacement. price reasonable HOWEVER I will NEVER EVER RECOMMEND them to anyone. One panel is very loose and upon calling them recently about it(screen is just under 1 yr old), from inception on the phone, he was nasty, unprofessional and accusatory stating "who knows what you have done or your pets have done". ( I haven't done anything and I don't have any pets) When he came to my house to inspect it, he basically tapped it and said very nastily "there's nothing wrong with it". No explanation, no discussion and again accused me of powerwashing or metal has become loose?? He then very mastily said "i can rip it out and rescreen but i make no guarantees".
