I totally recommend this. Shop heard a lot of good things about them a few friends that have classic cars. They've done a great job. They inform you of any overcharges they have you sign to proceed with particular jobs. Totally honest. And they do great work. What I wouldn't do is go to Audio export Vince, Miranda this individual is a total con artist got me for approximately from what the he does not approve any of his charges in fact, I suspect, and I say it again, I suspect given all my receipts that I got from this guy that they were photo shopped he added charges when we went to court his invoices some had lines through them and others did not again I would steer away from Audio expert. Idk how anyone here has had good experience. I spent 3,000 dollars on audio here and I've had a pretty poor experience. Not necessarily with anyone but the work itself. First day sub was cutting out. They replaced the sub. Same thing was happening then they said I was just turning my bass up to high. Okay maybe it's just me. So I turned it WAY down and it still happens to this day. So I just dealt with it. Well a year later now all the speakers cut out randomly now and I'm out of warranty so I just blew 3,000 dollars on a system that doesn't work. at this point it's pretty clear something wasn't wired correctly. For 3,000 I don't expect my subs and speakers to be cutting in and out. And for 3,000 dollars I most certainly don't want to hear it's my fault when I didn't touch a thing and I don't play my music at unreasonable volumes. I asked for the best you guys have. And if this is your guys best... you guys should just go out of business. Because for 3,000 dollars that's very mediocre. Could have got a better set up elsewhere for 1,000. Recently Came in for a wire and ran into Mike. Figured he would remember me since I spent 3 grand at this store. NOPE. He said oh... you look kinda sorta familiar. Then proceeded to try and sell me a subwoofer after I told him I don't feel like talking too much I just got my wisdom teeth pulled. But he kept talking. I was very annoyed. Maybe if you remembered who I was you'd know I had a subwoofer installed here for top dollars. Then maybe you could ask me how my sound system is and if there's anything I need. But no. You were ready just take more of my money. Wouldn't give this place another nickel. Ever. 3,000 dollars and a year later I have a mess of a sound system that needs to be replaced/fixed with no clear way to get any of my money back. ZERO STARS. I got scammed. Made an appointment to drop my car and have the radar detector wire fixed. They said it will be ready at noon. 1pm it was not looked at. Tech went into the car for 3 minutes and returned with a broken wire. They charged $150.00 for 3 minutes work and did not repair the radar detector power. They stated that is their usual bill for 'diagnosis'. I didn't ask for diagnosis, I already knew it was broken. Why even drop the car with all that hassle back and forth for 3 minutes?? Why $150 to remove a wire I could have pulled myself? Don't go here! Zero customer service and they don't care about anything but getting your $$. read more

Took my truck to the to have a system installed. I had the subs and amp already took them to install.purchased a deck from them. They did the install went to get the truck he said they installed one of their amps because the new sub amp didn't work but didn't not say anything until I was there to pick the truck up about it.. they pulled it apart and unplugged a connection so it wouldn't work and charge me more for a amp. Took truck back 3 weeks later because the radio will randomly make statick noises and a winning sound. Calls me 5 hours later said it's my other amp the connections are bad again a new amp.. well I pulled the carpet up and wires not wrapped. I paid $800 to have them install my sub and amp they sold me the wires, bass knob and grom kit for Bluetooth. I'll start off with how they broke the plastic latch under my dash installing the bass knob so now its just split open. Maybe 1 month later I'm having complete failure with the subs getting an OVL light on the amp and one sub is not working. Took it back to have them look at it, Mike had me turn the system on, listened to it for about 20 seconds and said that the subs were done for and just needed to be trashed. He immediately goes into quoting me for new subs and box. I decide to get a second opinion at Car Audio Engineers in Natomas, not only did they do a free inspection but he figured out the problem in less than 5 mins. BOTH subs worked just fine but the box was splitting, the terminals on it were lose and the amp wasn't tuned so it was causing power issues. This place is a money hungry scam, take your business elsewhere!!!!! read more

Dylan, the floor Manager is a good/honest guy. I brought my new Mini Cooper there for a Sub/Amp install using my own equipment. After the installation was completed a few hours later, I was told by the owner Mike, they needed to keep it overnight to troubleshoot the weird Car sound from the stock BMW system or come pay for the install & take the car home with the weird sound? I was like, why the F$&@ would I take the car home sounding like crap? That defeats the purpose pf adding the Bass/ Amp install!!!!!!!!!!! Long story short, I left the Car there overnight hoping Dylan would find the fix. The next morning, I stopped by and spoke to Dylan and he did found out why it was making that weird sound. If you own a later model BMW or Mini Cooper (BMW owns them) there are factory codes that needs to be turned On/Off for certain features using either BimmerCode or take it to the Dealership. If you want quality work completed, then this is your go to spot. Mike is friendly, informative, and very knowledgeable when it comes to automobile sound. I did my due diligence and obtained bids from three other local auto stereo establishments, as I like to keep my business local. Two of the other bids were about half the price that Mike quoted me and one was $600 more. My saying is you get what you pay for. I'm fanatical about who works on my BMW's and the cheaper quotes just didn't feel right and I wasn't comfortable having them work on my car. I've known Brandon (installer) for many years and I've always trusted him to do a good job. Well, I wasn't disappointed. The job was done on schedule and without any additional expenses. I came to Mikes with an emergency, my amp had blew and I didn't know how to disconnect it. It was smoking and everything I was terrified that my car was going to catch fire. He not only disconnected it for me, but he showed me how to do it myself. I respect that so much! When I got there he said he will only charge me $80, When all was done it took less than 10 mins and he decide to only charge me $55. Super fair and honest, as I was already willing to pay $80. I took my Harley to Mike's to have them check and replace my deck and front speakers. They gave me options on pricing from good to expensive my choice. The work was completed the same day. A month later I had feedback took it in and they found the issue, it was previous wiring to back speakers they fixed and replaced the speakers. Mike is trying to do the right thing for everyone. Mike hooked me up with a Kenwood with cd, Bluetooth and removed the broken cup holders and added a compartment for storage. All under $500. Mike programmed my phone for me and showed me how to use it. I'm very happy! We did have to wait 3 days to get a return call for the price quote but after all the install, I can see why. Disappointing is an understatement. I visited Mike's twice to get an estimate and advice about an radio/speaker installation. I also shopped 2 other locations. Mike was not present. But, the installer staff appeared to be knowledgeable, trustworthy and honest. Mike's estimate was not the lowest. But, the installer staff gave me confidence. I made an appointment for the installation based on the estimate provided. On the day of the appointment, Mike appeared for the first time. He immediately tried to find excuses to up-charge, asking questions that had already been answered: -factory Bose upgrade - no, - radio controls on the steering wheel - no, - camera installations can be tricky - not really, - hidden amplifier - no, - insisting that there may be unknown unknowns - NO I know my car and they had the opportunity to inspect. But, I really do know my car. After this series of up-charge challenges, Mike upped the LABOR ONLY estimate by about $200. On the day of the installation! Another shop estimated that this job would take about 4 hours. Mike's new estimate would have resulted in a charge of about $200 per hour. Parts were provided by me. What a jerk! A glad handing, BS artist. Not really an artist. I am not a mushroom, to be kept in the dark and fed on manure. I pity the poor, talented and honest installers who work for a person with this level of dishonesty and abuse. I believe that there should be an ethics requirement to obtain a business license. Of course, presented with this experience, I walked away pleased that I had not trusted Mike with my car. I hope the best for his team. And I offer my sympathies. About 10 years ago I took my 1969 Fairlane in there to have some custom work done. Replaced the whole back seat with speakers and they built me a center console for my deck. Mike was very cool and negotiated with me on the price being I didn't have much money after having the body and paint done. System worked good for years. The older man who I spoke with was incredibly inappropriate and continuously touched my hand and arms. He also tried to talk to me about his religion (I believe mormon) and daughter while being uncomfortably touchy. As a teen girl at the time, I felt unsafe and uncomfortable. I spoke to Mike on the phone for quite a long time today, I have a complicated three way active set up that needs a tune, and a relatively rare audio processor controlling it. Mike doesn't specialize in the particular brand of processor, but offered to spend his own time helping me tune my system. This review is more than a year in the making! It's easy to write a review immediately after a single visit to any establishment, but what about weeks and months that follow? Our previous shop didn't survive the pandemic so when we needed work done the search began. I passed Mike's one day and debated, it wasn't a "chain" shop so I was a little hesitant. I eventually decided to give them a try after reading a few reviews, I was very happy with the work and the price. My husband is a little harder to impress. He eventually needed some work done/corrected after another shop lied about what they were installing and did not install properly. He took it to a shop in Roseville for a diagnosis, they were great but it was just too far. In the end this shop actually recommended Mike's (I didn't say "I told you so" ). Long story short, in the last year+ we have gone to Mike's at least 10 times. We weren't returning because the work was subpar, actually the opposite! We've taken four different cars to them for various work....replacement of malfunctioning alarm, sound system insulations, correcting subpar work from another establishment, etc. Bottom line we keep going back because they do great work!! The job was done in a very clean way, and they were able to hide my alarm system in my car very well so it's not tacky and out in the open. I have a very custom 62 Falcon that had a 15 year old Kenwood stereo which was top of the line 15 years ago but obsolete today. I found a great deal on a newer model Kenwood but because my car is a garage queen, I went with a legitimate mobile installer. After spending about 10 minutes, he opted out of the install out of fear of disturbing the custom dash and console. In hindsight I'm grateful. I called Mike who stated if he can't do it, it probably can't be done. I had a great experience at the shop. The guys were personable and knew their business. I dropped my car off and wandered old Elk Grove waiting for the call that would tell me the wiring problems that would prohibit the install or add to the quote. It never came. They wrestled with that stereo (which has bluetooth) for 3 hours and overcame every challenge. I was prepared to spend some bucks on this job but even after all the extra work, they charged me just $20 more than quoted.
