So sweet and great service... fixed my shoes very fast. They were older thrifted heels and booties and he fixed the bottoms to be brand new.

The best shoe repair in the neighborhood. I had a pair of leather booties I love but the heels were…read moredestroyed. I got them 5-7 years ago so I couldn't buy a new pair because they don't sell them anymore, I figured they were already pretty banged up I might as well send them to a shoe repair and see what happens. WOW! North 11 made the boots good as new. Completely replaced the heels (honestly looked better than when I first bought them) and even shined the leather for me! $70 for new heels and a shoe shine?! Sign me up. I have a few more pairs of shoes I will definitely be bringing here to get a spruce up.

Very disappointing repair of my Birkenstock Arizona Soft Footbed sandals…read more I brought my Birkenstock Arizona Soft Footbed sandals to North 11th Shoe Repair for a repair. Before the work was done, I specifically explained to the cobbler what needed to be repaired and what I expected. Unfortunately, the repair was not done properly, and after only about two weeks of normal use, the sandals started coming apart again. When I initially picked up the sandals, I noticed that the rubber had not been properly sanded and was uneven/off-level. I pointed this out to the person at the shop, but I was told that it was fine. I had to show an image of what the finished repair should actually look like before they acknowledged the problem and corrected that part of the repair. Unfortunately, the problems did not stop there. After only about two weeks of use, the glue is now coming off on both sandals, and the repair is once again failing. For an $85 repair, I expected much better workmanship and durability. I had seen several negative reviews about this shop before bringing my sandals there, but I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and judge the shop based on my own experience. Unfortunately, my experience ended up confirming many of the concerns I had read. In my experience, the workmanship was not what I expected from a professional cobbler, particularly when working on Birkenstock/German-made footwear. I specifically explained what needed to be done, yet the repair was still not completed correctly. I am sharing this review because I would not want someone else to spend $85 on a repair only to have the same problems return shortly afterward. If you have expensive or specialty footwear, especially Birkenstock sandals, I strongly recommend finding a cobbler who has demonstrated specific experience repairing this type of footwear. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend North 11th Shoe Repair for Birkenstock repairs.

My experience at this business was deeply upsetting and left me feeling shaken…read more On Monday, July 6, at approximately 5:00 p.m., I visited this establishment seeking shoe repair services. During my interaction, the woman assisting me spoke to me in a rude, dismissive, and confrontational manner. Throughout our conversation, I felt that she made assumptions about my financial ability to pay for the repair, which I found both insulting and degrading. As a Latino customer, I left with the genuine impression that I was treated differently because of my ethnicity. While I cannot know her intentions, the manner in which I was addressed and the overall interaction caused me to feel discriminated against. After deciding not to proceed with the service, I left the store. The employee had already provided me with a receipt, yet she chased me outside to retrieve it. Her actions were so aggressive that I feared she might physically confront me. No customer should have to experience that level of intimidation simply for choosing not to do business with an establishment. Every customer deserves to be treated with dignity, courtesy, and respect, regardless of their background. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this business. I hope the owners take meaningful steps to improve their customer service practices and ensure that all customers are treated fairly and professionally.

I needed both the midsole and the front stretched and was expecting to pay somewhere around $20 to $30. The total came out to $7, which honestly surprised me. Extremely affordable. Less than a latte. The owners, who I believe are a couple, were very kind and welcoming. The woman in particular was extremely sweet and friendly. It is the kind of neighborhood spot that makes you want to come back and support them.
