If you need that, go somewhere else. If you want your damn shoes fixed properly then you should be more than happy to pay for his time and labor. read more

I wasn't really that impressed with this establishment. It's a tiny little work shop -- not even really any space to go inside, as it is a hoarders-episode of random materials, and the owner had the door propped open to meet customers at the door. It's a little shady for many reasons: it's cash only so it seems like prices are just sorta made up, the guy working here just writes you an illegible receipt on a little tag and just gives you an estimate of when it'll be ready (as far as I can tell he does it all, so it just depends on how many orders he has), he kinda just uses random materials to MacGyver your shoe back to functionality. Depending on what is wrong with the shoe, I'm sure he has more official processes for doing things but my experience was kinda weird. I dropped off a shoe that had a gash ripped into it. He looked at it and told me to come back the following day. When I arrived to pick it up, it took him a while to even find my shoe, which he hadn't even worked on yet. So I told him I'd be back in 20 minutes. When I came back it seemed like he sorta just slapped a solution together. It doesn't not work, but it isn't the most professional looking thing I've seen. Anyways it was only a $20 fix, which is cheaper than buying a new pair of shoes. Maybe I'll get another year or so out of these ones... read more

Yes it's cash only but who can blame him for that with his small operation. He always comes up with a solution and doesn't try to sell you add ons or extras just what you need. Beware!! DO NOT waste your money or time getting any keys done here!! I moved back in September and needed 5 keys made. None of them worked. I went to Home Depot and got my keys perfectly done. Fast forward to today -- I needed a slider on a backpack repaired. I realize it's been 2 months since I got my keys done and at this point I wasn't looking for a total refund which was $15 for the 5 keys. Anyway, I was quoted $25 for repair on the backpack. When the owner was done in about 10 minutes, he told me $30 so I politely asked would he let me pay the original quote of $25 since I had keys made there that didn't work. He got nasty telling me my keys not working wasn't his problem. Clearly it is since it's your work sir!!! I was only asking for a $5 discount on principle. He continued to get nasty and proceeded to rip the slider off the book bag. What a businessman!! I always service mom and pop stores but this one needs to retire or get some customer service skills. read more
