I've gone to many nail salons in the past and just wasn't happy. I told a friend of mine that I had two horrible thumb nails and couldn't find anyone who could make them look right. She told me that she had the exact same problem with her thumb nails and recommended Sandy & Tommy, who she went to for many, many years before her death. I've now been going to Sandy & Tommy for at least 12 years. On my first visit, I pointed out my thumb nails and Tommy said "No problem, I'll fix them." And he did. They always remember how I like my nails (acrylic) shaped and Tommy always remembers the two trouble spots on my heels when doing my pedicure. Out of curtesy, I always make an appointment. Sandy's sister is working at the salon periodically and can take walk-ins if Sandy & Tommy are busy. Tommy & Sandy are two of the most hard working people I know. They work 9-6, M-S with only Sunday off. Both of their kids are highly educated and hard working as well. Their prices are very reasonable. I get fills, manicures & pedicures and a full set when necessary. Tommy and Sandy are friends now after all of these years. I, and other customers have gotten to know each other, making for some fun conversations. I drive in from Sonoita (AZ) to Tommy & Sandy. I could not possibly have a higher recommendation for them. If I could give this salon zero stars for customer service, I would. We are here from out of town, and stopped in at 6:40pm to get a simple manicure. When I asked if we could get a manicure, the gentleman told me, "We're closed." The hours posted online say they close at 7pm. Their hours posted on the door, say they close at 7pm. We could have stopped at any nail salon on our way there, but chose them because of their great reviews. This is the first salon I've ever been to that didn't accept customers up until their posted closing time. I have many friends in Tucson and know many people who visit... I will make certain they take their business to proprietors who value them. read more

My wife and I are finally able to return to Milady's Nails after a few months quarantined during the Coronavirus. They have done a good job setting up their area with masking and plexiglass at each hand and foot station. Several times required to wash hands during the service. Good changes during this trying time. Tommy and a Sandy are very friendly, do a great job, with a very reasonable price. They are located on Broadway just west of Kolb, next to the old Kmart building. We usually call for an appointment a couple of days ahead of time to minimize the waiting time. Good customer service: changed my appointment 2-3 times and added my friend. Very clean: masks, face shields, and a movable barrier (little too much to be honest) as well as sanitizing the tubs well afterwards. But, the lady rushed the pedicure: went too deep when removing gel color I had, didn't smooth my nails, didn't clean the cuticles out well, and botched the new color (on so thick I could easily peel the color off and went over the edge of almost every nail). read more

Sandy has her hands full with me right now. I took my artificial nails off myself. I know, bad client!! So when I went in on Saturday, she looked at my nails and shook her head at me and then started to figure out what to do. She made a suggestion which I'm following. I just returned from an hour or so at Milady's Nails. I LOVED it. I haven't had a pedicure in awhile and I've only had my nails done a few times in the last year, mostly because the places I've gone in the past have left me disappointed, angry, or even bleeding. I chose Milady because it's within walking distance of my apartment but after my first experience there, I would go across Tucson to Milady's. I had an appointment at 5, and was put in a spa chair immediately upon arriving, even though they were finishing up on someone else's toes. This was fine with me as it gave me time to just sit and relax. Everything looked and smelled very clean. The two employees (maybe owners?) that were there were just the right amount of talkative and friendly without being overly intrusive or awkward. The guy who did my pedicure was patient and gentle. Too many places seem so rushed and jerk your feet and hands around like you're a ragdoll. That always makes me uncomfortable and then I start to get anxious about which way I'm supposed to move which body part at which time. I felt at east the entire time. There were a few other clients in and out and some of them seemed like regulars which is always a good sign. The price was amazing. I thought I misunderstood when I was given the total. I'll absolutely be back. If I could go daily, I would. read more
