I would NEVER RECOMMEND THE GELX NAILS I got my nails done 12/5/2025 in the morning by Friday night the nails started lifting I'm out of town till today I was unable to get it addressed which I feel they will try to charge me when it's not my fault I WILL STICK GETTING ACRYLIC AND WITH THE TIPS I feel as I need a new set with acrylic free of charge I paid $85-90 dollars and tipped $10. I really wanted to like this place, but my pedicure was just okay. Worse, I was chatting with another customer next to me who was also getting a pedicure and it was pleasant until one of the nail techs started cracking jokes for the benefit of the owner and other employees. They were all super loud and obnoxious. Obviously, the other customer and stopped talking since we couldn't hear each other. I felt very uncomfortable and disrespected. Nail broke in 3 days, they had to rip the glue off multiple times for not properly fitting the nail. The glue and my nail was stuck to his skin and he pulled off and tried to paint over it... I should've paid attention to the low ratings. The woman was unfriendly from the start-as though we were putting her out. They charged $25 to put toe polish on a 5 year old. Then they charged us $5.00 extra because we paid for our pedicures separately but didn't tell us until after the transaction it was gonna be five dollars more. Never again. read more

Dropped in for a pedicure here on the spur of the moment due to location and timing for another appointment in the area. Really happy I did, despite some of the other reviews. Very welcoming and clean, the gal who greeted me and did my pedicure was very nice and provided a top notch pedicure. I would totally return, even though I usually get pedi's closer to home. I got the spa pedicure that included callous removal and sea salt (deluxe) and it was $35 which is what I have paid anywhere else. DO NOT GO HERE, I had my nails and toes done here this morning. I am not one to complain about services for my nails but this was by far the worst manicure I've ever had. I didn't say anything before I left the establishment because I didn't want to make a big deal about it. But after further convincing of my boyfriend I went back to see if I could get refunded to go somewhere else and fix it or maybe an acrylic replacement for the service. I tried to pull someone to the side when I arrived at the front and not make a huge deal about it, and the "owner" started raising his voice at me in the front reception area that I was wrong about the service. He made a huge scene and refused to help. No refund or fix at all and no apology. I am in customer service myself and have never experienced anything like this. I asked for a gel manicure, file and square shape. I had length before this service too. Hardly any cuticle care as well. read more

If you want nails that will last more than one day do not come here. I got a pedicure here for a concert and the paint chipped off after a day. My acrylic nails were better, however the paint job was sloppy and I got cut to the point where I was bleeding multiple times. read more

Got a gel mani and a pedi on Saturday (3 days ago) and I'm disappointed to see that the paint did not last three days. I noticed chipping yesterday but took photos today for the review. It was not a cheap service, so I'm bummed out. The staff were very friendly and the facility was comfortable. But the quality of the polish wasn't very good. The polish looks streaky on my nails. The edges of my nails weren't painted, and the tips chipped really early. :( read more

I am unsure why this place has 2 stars. I have been coming here for 10 years and even under new management they have become a better salon. They are clean such that they have a sterlizer for their clippers and they soften your cuticles before cutting them. Making the experience more comfortable. They are gentle when they do nails. They massage your feet and hands for a period of time under the cheapest pedicure or manicure . I would recommend this place to anyone I like. I used to go here a lot and was satisfied until the new management moved in. The man who runs it is always there and micro manages the staff. The girls (and one male) who work there are very friendly and do a good job. I picked out a pink color for my nails and when I looked down, she was putting on an orange color. It wasn't her fault, the manager had put down the orange color instead of the pink, Then, when I was leaving, he grabbed the cash tip out of my hand when I tried to give it to the girl who did my nails. Figured I'd give it a try it's near where I work. She did an ok job with my fill and my pedicure isn't bad but I expected more. What really got me was the number of times I was asked if I wanted color. I didn't since I always mess it up at the salon. She cut my toe nails without asking. It's empty in here so I mean she could have paid more attention to detail. No worries I won't be back. Sad since the place is so clean. I also wish she had asked me if i wanted a spa pedicure. I would have said yes. Even when I said I wanted one. An edit after getting back to work it seems my feet aren't all that smooth I'm really disappointed in this place. read more

Clean place, nice people, no wait but they over charge you for mediocre work they do. They do not charge the prices they have up on the wall. I was charged $40 for fills and gel polish . I will have to look elsewhere and NOT be back to VIP NAILS. And after reading others reviews, they are known to charge whatever they want. read more

The new management seems to be about getting clients in and out. They have done a horrible job the last three times that I have been there. They are not friendly and their work is sloppy. My dipped nails never crack/break but they did this time.and only 1 week after they were put on. They need to slow down and provide quality service and quality work. There are still 2 of the original techs there and I will be asking for them, specifically, going forward. If they leave, I will go elsewhere. New pedi chairs etc does not make up for poor quality and poor service. read more

Amazing!! I loved the way they did my nails. I got a mani and pedi this time and the lady taking care of me was super sweet. Their location is convenient and I would take a chance on this nail salon. Definitely coming back to this establishment because it's under rated and deserves more attention. The pedicures are ok they don't really get all the dead skin off the feet... and I asked for a French ombré they didn't know how to do my whole nail looks white... so I would advise going some where else the money is not worth the service. read more

Super unfortunate experience. This place is very convenient to my house and there is a nail technician that I like. She is not the best, but she is fast and that is important to me. Tonight I went in to have a nail fixed and they fixed it at no charge which was great! Because I was so happy with that service, I decided I would go back in and spend a little bit more money getting a leg massage. So I went in and requested a salt scrub and massage. Nothing done to my toes, as I had paid $15. 2 days before to have a polish change and my cuticles cleaned. So I figured I would offer 50% of the sea salt pedicure price $15 . They weren't busy and he never denied my $15 offer. At the end of the service, I was charged $25, the regular full pedicure is 30 I even talked to the owner and he would not budge because he said I turned on the massage chair and he used a tub of water so that is $10 extra. I know this may seem silly because it's over a measly $10 but this is on principle. The moral of the story is make sure you know what they're charging you for before they do it or The price may change. On top of the overpriced fact the actual "service" massage was super disappointing. My legs were somewhat rubbed raw with the sea salt scrub and the one of many muscles in my leg he actually massaged feels a little more relaxed but as I said, he stayed in the same place the whole time. Definitely not worth $25! And... My massage chair was malfunctioning and affected my "massage"lol in a negative way. SUPER BUMMED. read more

This is the worst nail place I've been to in Tucson!! They left rough edges and when I asked her "could you please fix the edges?" She replied with a rather loud huff "ok I fix". This place should be shut down! I had a very "basic" pedicure, which was not worth the money! But, the killer was that the woman was cutting my cuticles (actually my skin) and cut my finger... badly! It won't stop bleeding. All my fingers are so sore, I can barely touch anything. I am angry with myself because I should have stopped right there and left, but I guess I'm a glutton for punishment and went on. I tried to explain to them that I did not want to pay for my gel manicure, or at least get a discount. My finger was getting worse and worse by the end. No apologies either, by the way. So, no refund. After arguing for quite some time, it was not going to happen. I think I might stop by tomorrow and demand a refund. It shouldn't hurt this much to get a manicure! My first and last time at this nail salon!! The shop itself is nice and clean and they have nice chairs, however, the foot baths were not clean. I noticed them "cleaning" the foot baths with a spritz of 409 and a quick rinse. Ugh!! I hope I don't get an infection! Also, they didn't have enough people working, but kept seating people in the pedicure chairs. I sat soaking my feet for 25 minutes before my pedicure started. My pedicure started with one person, but another person finished (it was the same with my manicure). I was also told by the gentleman working there that if I had come during the week, my pedicure would have been much better because when the salon is busy, they hurry people through and aren't as thorough. I felt the whole experience was extremely disappointing due to the lack of professionalism. I would recommend going ANYWHERE else!!! read more

This place is complete trash, at least their employees are. the lady was trying to charge me $45 for a long coffin shaped nail when full sets are $25. She glued each side of my nail to the fake nail while putting on, she than also cut my cuticles not ONCE but TWICE with the electric filler. Didn't say sorry or anything. The lady was polite but not too chatty & my toenails look wonderful. Also unlike a place I went to just down the street at least they actually put lotion on & massaged my feet. I went in to have my nails done with a full set before my birthday which is tomorrow, and was expecting a beautiful experience. NO! The young lady who did them did NOT follow all the steps and did NOT sterilize my nails. She sis NOT clean underneath the nails and most of the nails were different sizes! I went for a basic pedi and she nipped the skin numerous times. I had blood spots the next day on the tips of my toes. I watched to see if she put the tools in sanitizer after and she did not... Just washed them. I will count myself lucky if I don't get an infection. I should have left but was uncomfortable.
