I have driven by here a million times and never stopped. Obviously I didn't know what I was missing. I got the baby back enchiladas with the sweet bbq. IT WAS AMAZING. 10/10 would get again. We love this place. The service is always good and the food is fresh and delicious. I love the sweet chili rice, the Smokey refried beans, and the beef. Let's start off positive. My server was nice and courteous. That's what earned a star. The food is terrible. The salsa is so sugary I could add it to coffee. The "hot" red sauce tastes like Costco brand tomato and basil soup with red chili flakes mixed in. No flavor that stands out. It's all so bland and boring. read more

It was enjoyable. I know what real Mexican food is and if you are looking for the real stuff, this is not the place for you. The food was very sweet, honey was a recurring ingredient on the menu. While the food was not bad, it was not satisfying when I was looking for some good Mexican food. It was American food prepared to look like Mexican. The worst Mexican food ever! I ordered the chili rellenos and they weren't close to what they should be, they were dipped in a corn meal type mix that had the consistency of corn dog batter.. One of them was so burnt and dry I was really surprised the cook (can't call him a chef) had the nerve to send it out .. Absolute worst things I've ever had, the menu described the Mexican rice as spicy not even close, it was bland and tasteless! Everything we ordered was just down right nasty .. The salsas had ZERO. heat... They were way too sweet and boring. The service was good, our waiter did try to make things better but I was just too upset to try anything else. I honestly really love the food here. A LOT. That being said, the last three times we've ordered take out they have TOTALLY messed up my chimi. I order the beef (for a dollar more!) and always end up with pork. As annoying as it is, it wouldn't be such a problem if I didn't pay that extra dollar for beef. Hey, it's pricey, I get it..and I pay it because I want it...and I wind up with pork. WHY MILAGROS, WHY? We've lived in walking distance to Milagros for almost two years, and had avoided it because of the negative reviews (and because we don't like to waste our time or money on potentially bad Mexican food when there are decent options out there). We finally decided to try it for lunch. The chips were okay but the salsas were terrible. The red one looked like chunky tomato sauce and was so bland. The green one was overly sweet. Not a good start. I had the chile relleno a la carte and the ceviche. The ceviche was fine, would have been better if it had a flavor other than lime to it. On a salty chip it was decent. I was prepared for an odd chile relleno by some of the other reviews, and yes it came out looking like a huge corn dog. The coating on it was super thick, not a usual light and crispy coating for a chile relleno. I pulled off most of the corn dog batter and the pepper and queso inside were pretty good. My husband had a pork chimichanga and that was the best part of our meal. I actually wished I had ordered that because I kept wanting more of it. So a little redemption for that. The sides that were with it - rice and pinto beans - were basic and nothing special. Overall, it was pretty much as I expected it to be from reading previous reviews, and even though we can walk here we'll be driving farther for better food. read more

The free chips they serve are super good with good dipping salsas. Got the chimmichunga and omg it was huge. They do not skip on the serving size. Very filling. Terrible service....okay food that is very over priced. Ordered lunch special at 2:55. The waiter took everyone's order and came back and said that we cant do the lunch special because it was past 3:00. Worst service...definitely do not eat there on a Friday or Saturday night. This is only my second Yelp review. I try to save them for exceptionally bad dining experiences. You know it's not going to be good when the guacamole is the fake pre-packaged sludge you can buy at Costco. The queso tasted very strongly of cream cheese and the beans were flavorless and cold. My entree, a red chile seasoned chicken quesadilla was bland. For what you get I found Milagro's to be over-priced and disappointing. I wish I had gone to Cafe Rio instead. I went in with a big group there were 6 at my table. 2 of us couldn't eat the food at all because we did not like it at all, our food and drinks came individually so we had to wait for all plates and drinks to all of our party. 1 meal was taken off of the ticket, the 2nd one should have been but was not. I paid and left a small tip though I was unhappy with the service. Upon review of my payment that cleared it was higher than the amount that I signed for. Which I believe is highly illegal. We were on our way home after completing a project in Orem, decided to stop in and try this place. Javier was our server, he was prompt not once did we ask for refills or more chips and salsa. HUGE FACTOR IN MY FUTURE VISIT IS THE SERVICE!!!!!! Their Chile Relleno is the best I have ever had they are fresh peppers and stuffed to the max, the only problem is that you end up taking food home in a box which means you failed at cleaning your plate. ***Best Mexican Food*** in Utah! We live in Davis County and stop by every time we have occasion to be in Utah County. Everything on they make is delicious- especially the green tomatillo sauce! If a menu item looks or sounds good, it will be. Great amount of food for the price, very friendly and helpful service, and the atmosphere is fun. Give em a chance, they've been open a month and gotten better every time. Before Milagros came to town, there were basically 2 types of Mexican food in Utah County. The first is Mi Rancherito, Mama Chus, Mi Ranchito, La Puente etc... the second is the Cafe Rio, Costa Vida, Bajio variety. Thank goodness we finally have something else to enjoy. Milagros is a fresher take on Mexican and you owe it to yourself to try it. The quesadilla is excellent as are the fajitas and the fish tacos. The Veggie Burrito is a religious experience, so good!!!! Admittedly they had some challenges the first few weeks, but they've ironed out most of the kinks and they're doing it right. I have this co-worker who claims that bell peppers are too spicy for his taste. I assume he grew up being force fed diet porridge with a side of white bread and tap water to wash it all down. How else could someone think the 0 scoville units of the dreaded bell pepper is too spicy? I figured a trip to the sinfully delicious Red Iguana, and maybe even Del Taco, would send him screaming to the ER. Basically, Mexican was forever out of his vocabulary. Now that I've been to Milagros, I'm convinced that I have found somewhere for him to go somewhere that he can try food that resembles Mexican, but will be suitable for his toddler taste buds. When we were walking to our table, I spied many plates that looked delicious. The familiar reds and greens that are representative of the food I was raised on, smiling white people everywhere (this should have been a clue in hindsight), and a refreshing lack of too much cheese covered everything. We got our chips, which had to be from a bag, I was excited to try the 2 kinds of salsa we were offered. The first, verde, tasted like tomatillos blended in simple syrup. The red had to be better, but as I tasted it I knew I had eaten it somewhere before. Ah yes, last Christmas when I garnished my breakfast casserole with my mother in law's extra mild pace salsa. Unfortunately the rest of the meal followed suit. What should have been spicy was sweet, sad when I should have been happy, etc. I have to say our waitress was nice, not good at waitressing really, but very nice. No, we won't be going back to "the best Mexican around" but I know someone who might just make it a regular. read more

If you like your mexican food on the sweeter side 5hrn you'll probably like milagros. I go a few time a year ever since it opened. I always get the veggie enchiladas and they are usually delicious. Depending on the day I've noticed some times are better than others as far as what types of veggies they use. But you'd be hard pressed to find fresh asparagus, yummy corn and carrot along with everything else they stuff in them. The sauce is yummy too. read more

By far the most disappointing Mexican food experience I've ever had. We placed a takeout order tonight (July 31) and it was riddled with errors. We ordered nachos with ground beef and no sour cream; they had shredded beef and sour cream. We ordered a chimichanga with no sour cream. Guess what? It had sour cream. We ordered enchiladas with shredded beef; no meat made it into the tortilla. By the way, the sweet onion enchiladas are stuffed only with onions--no cheese. I repeat: NO CHEESE. They were repulsive. The black beans completely lack flavor, while the refried beans taste only like smoke--nothing else. Oh, and we also ordered queso and they gave us no chips. Whaaaaat?!?! Because our order was so messed up, we called and told the restaurant the situation. They refunded our entire order, which is why I'm fine with giving this place one star. Flying into Salt Lake City from the Bay Area and driving down I-15, my son and I stopped at Milagros for a late lunch. We hit the right spot! The baby back ribs are real good and remind me of Tommy Bahama style. The Onion Ball is unique and very good. Wish they would come to California! read more
