Both the pizza and the Caesar's salad were just average it was the cost that blew us away. My wife went in to pick it up and paid $42.00 for a medium pizza with three toppings and the salad. When we got home and she told me the price I called and got the manager who was surly and gave me a poor rundown on the charges. The food & service was phenomenal! We ordered chicken fettuccine alfredo, fried calamari, pasta e faggioli, mezze Luna's and our pizzas (supremo, plain regular and a Sicilian w/extra cheese), plus our drinks. Our food came out super fast, the waitress was really nice and very professional! We used to go to their other location on Tharpe Street, they moved from over there to here on 1874 Thomasville Road. So glad they are closer to my home. We will be going over more often. My family & I truly enjoyed our dinner with lots of leftovers to bring home!! Totally awesome evening. Passing through my old college stomping grounds (FSU)(Go Noles), stopped by for a calzone to take on the go. While waiting, I noticed the venue is big with outdoor seating and that the staff was friendly. The calzone was another story-- was so hot it burned a hole through the entire bag. It wasn't a bad calzone, the ingredients were fresh. But it completely fell apart as it wasn't sealed and was very messy to eat. Because of the hole it soaked the napkins in grease. Definitely unsatisfied with the calzone and definitely took an "L". I don't plan on going back next time I'm in Tallahassee. read more

This isn't the works pizza I've ever had, it wasn't the best, but I can say I would eat it again probably. I came in for a late lunch around 2:30 and ordered two slices and a water, they do not have bottled water so they gave me a glass of water. My two slices I ordered with pepperoni, and I was served very quickly, probably because I was the only person in the restaurant. My bill came to $6.40, that's more than fair. read more

If you're a big fan of Village Pizza up in The Village Commons shopping center - then you already know this is going to be good. This is a neighborhood Joint and all the usual suspects are on the menu, along with a "house specialties" section which I focus on in any restaurant when it presents itself. We've generally come with kids in tow, and tend to eat outside or inside equally. Interior has a remarkably comfortable sofa at the entrance with ample car enthusiast magazines. If I'm not having pizza (which I like just fine, but I tend to order pizza at other places) I generally order one of the following three: The Chicken Diablo, The linguine, garlic, broccoli, olive oil and artichoke dish or The Chicken Florentine. I feel like this restaurant has got a bad rap in Tallahassee. I never see anyone eating there and there are never cars outside. I went to Milanos today for lunch just because I have lived in Tallahassee for 2 years now and have always drived passed it but never went in. Like many other Tallahassee residents I simply passed it for what I thought to be better options. However this is unjustified. I got there lunch special which was $4.95 for two slices and a drink which was a steal. The pizza was hot and fresh even though there was no one else in the restaurant. The crust was crunchy and delicious. I was not skimped on toppings and the cheese did not slide off of my pizza when I bite into it. All together I had a great experience food wise. Service wise I was blown away. I did not happen to catch my waiters name but he ensured that both my friend and I' s drink was full during our entire visit. We did not even have to ask for our check. Once we finished eating and our conversation died down, he came over and dropped off our bill. All together it was a great experience and I think more people should stop by and try their food, I know I will be coming back! read more

Waitress is an airhead, she should not be a server with no consciousness of how to serve people. I asked for a Arnold Palmer she forgot and when I asked for a refill at the counter I was ignored by several employees. Mexicans cooking Italian food in the back of the restaurant owned by Albanians. Four and a half, to my count! UPDATE! We have now used their delivery service a few times. From ordering either on-line or call in; service was prompt, hot and efficient! Tonight we tested (our true test) of red sauce spaghetti and meatballs. An easy pass with tasty sauce, al dente thin spaghetti and tender, delicious pair of double palm meatballs. Yumm! Terrific cheesesteaks, pasta dishes, too. I love their fresh made garlic knots, but they should be delivered in something other than a paper bag that absorbs the butter and garlic (They readily honored my request for a container when I asked!). Their house salad is simple, but very fresh with good dressings (Ken's). My favorite dish, so far, is their chicken piccata. A simple creation of butter, lemon juice and capers finds a perfect balance in this generous dish. A better version you cannot find, in town; perhaps on Earth. I highly recommend this perfect dish! Their recipes are tasty, their portions generous and the service and delivery is quick and efficient. The pizza reminds me of your north a TRUE New York pizza in Tallahassee. If you order the long island iced tea it will get the job done. Every time I get spaghetti there, it is served swimming in water. I guess they don't take the time to drain it which leads to the otherwise good sauce being soupy. The pizza has to be blotted with napkins because it is over the top greasy. I like the location since it is close to h o me, but am about to give up on it. I have been living in Tallahassee now for 4 months. I have tried every pizza place between here and Gadsden County.This place is the only that even comes close to being on par with pizza from New York or New Jersey (Where I am originally from). I've had Momo's, Gumby's and everything in between all are low grade ingridents. They think brick oven means you burn the pizza and that makes it good... The amount of mediocre to bad pizza I have had to endure to finally find Milano's is incredible. I always thought the north east superiority complex in terms of pizza was a bunch of BS, but it in Tallahassee it is not. The pizza in Tallahassee that is considered good, would be out of business on the Jersey Shore or in NYC in a week. Milano's on the other hand is good quality pizza with great ingredients for a reasonable price. No gimmicks of super large pie, or pizza so cheap you just know it's doomed before you try it. They have a everyday special of 2 slices and a drink for $5... Which is awesome, a large pie cost $13 and is worth every penny. I have also had there wings which are quality. This is by far the only acceptable pizza in all of Tallahassee. Do not think I am some pizza snob either. In other cities in Florida I have found plenty of acceptable pizza establishments, but here in Leon making quality pizza is something no place but Milano's does. Other establishments instead cater to a college crowd that is so drunk they can't taste what they are eating. Worse I suspect many other establishment's yelp reviews to be of their own creation. I do not drink but they do also have a bar with good prices television and a decent dine in experience. This place would easily be a 4 star pizza joint in other cities, but here in Tallahassee they are by far the best and deserving of a 5th star. read more

1. I ordered at 11am and did not receive my food until 12:00pm although my delivery address is less than 2 miles down the road. 2. When trying to order online for delivery, I was unable to and was advised by phone that it was because my total was not $15. 3. I chose to get the cheese calzone, salad, and drink for the lunch special but decided to order separately so that I could have it delivered at $15. 4. I added an extra Ranch dressing in order to reach the "$15 minimum" but it was not in the bag. Also, there was no fork and knife for the calzone and salad. ***Usually when a restaurant states that there is a minimum, it means the SUBTOTAL. When I checked my bank statement the total was $15.05 meaning that technically I could have had my food delivered for a SUBTOTAL under $15. I almost didn't tip the delivery driver because this was ridiculous but it was not his fault. **I did not receive a receipt and I don't think I received good service. I ordered here last weekend and the food and service was good but today, the person that took my order and the person that answered my call were very unfriendly. The delivery driver was okay, although his car was junky and my food and drink had to sit in that environment. The garlic knots, however, are not very good-they taste like Pillsbury dough and fake butter. Dine-in and delivery service great.
