I stopped in for dinner. The restaurant is a little small in the first area you walk into but it has lots of seating in the second room to the right. I was immediately greeted and had my order taken. You can tell the kitchen staff enjoys their job, as they were MERRILY singing along with the music that was playing. I ordered a build your own Chicago style deep dish, making it a margherita pizza + chicken. The pizza was SO GOOD, and came on a piece of cardboard to make it easy to take home. (I did not take any with me, I don't think it would reheat well in a hotel microwave.) They charge per topping when you do a build your own, but to me it was worth the price I paid. i've been staying in a hotel very close to this pizza place and I strongly believe in pizza Friday. I've gotten two pizzas that are 10 inch build your own. I like to make my own pizza with a garlic Parmesan base and I add tomatoes, feta cheese and red onion. It comes out absolutely delicious every time I've gotten it. I've also gotten the baked meatball sub, which is exactly how you want a baked sub to be it's perfectly crunchy bread with melted cheese and really great sauce on the meatballs. I've also gotten a small Mediterranean salad and I added chicken and the thing was huge. It took up the entire container and was a really good deal for all the food that you got. i've ordered a head on their website or using the Clover app and it's really easy. They never have any issues and everything's usually ready on time. I don't usually show up before the estimated time so I haven't had any problems with things being late. I've also gone in and ordered and just kind of sat and waited for me to go. This is the most traditional pizza shop type of place you've ever been to. It smells amazing when you walk in the door and all of the staff are really really friendly and have been quick to offer a drink while I wait or give me suggestions if I'm not sure what I want to eat. Coach's Pizza is a local neighborhood favorite. This is a counter service restaurant and the staff are welcoming and friendly. My dining companion and I decided to enjoy a meal here on a Saturday night. It happened to be a university home football game and the steady stream of customers picking up their to go orders really proves that this is a reliable and solid choice for a pizza and their other offerings. We ordered a 14" sausage and mushroom pizza and an order of garlic knots. We had to get a to go box because there is just too much food for one meal. The pizza was served hot with shaker bottles of red pepper flakes, italian seasoning and parmesean cheese. The garlic knots were doughy, hot and delicious. There is a good amount of olive oil to dip the garlic knots in and they order is served with a side of marinara sauce for dipping. Went to Coach's Pizza for the first time with out of town family. We ordered the Mediterranean salad, chicken Alfredo pasta and the combination deep dish pizza. We were all so impressed! The salad was filled with toppings and was fresh. I'm not typically a pasta person, but I liked this pasta. It was very Alfredo forward! My nephew demolished it before I got more than a taste. The winner of the night, however was the deep dish pizza. It was absolutely delicious! The sauce was a little sweet in a good way and they were generous with the toppings. The crust was not a cornmeal crust, but more like regular pizza crust. I was the only one who would have preferred the other kind. Overall, we loved our meal and I will definitely come back to try more of their menu! read more

Shout out to the dude that recommended this place in a football podcast (Jeff Cameron Show)! We tried the deep dish pizza for the first time and were blown away at how delicious it was and everything that people say about it is true!! The sauce on the pizza is to die for! The ambiance was very nice, it gave the atmosphere of family and even a great place to have a date. The young lady behind counter was very pleasant and even gave us something else to try as her favorite. My kids who are very hard critics continue to rave about this place and I've even overheard them telling classmates about it! So happy to have this gem in Tally! Fantastic pizza! What a pleasant surprise. I've been looking for a while, something other than Momos. I was a Decent believe for a long time but the last few months the pies been not up to their level. Coach's served an amazing deep dish and a wonderful MEAT (regular) pie. You can tell the quality of ingredients. The presentation on both was top notch and the flavor! Chef's kiss. I saw people posting about not liking the sauce because it was, "too sweet"? Tastes like fresh tomatoes to me. I'm comparing this to all the wonderful pizza pies I've had in Eastern PA, NJ, and NYC. This place is a winner. read more

As my usual routine, I went in the coaches and ordered a slice cheese pizza. Seems like a little thing, but if you're selling Coca-Cola or Pepsi out of a fountain, and you give me a cup, you should have a straw. The slice was six out of 10. The crust tasted like it was a frozen pizza. That might be the fault of the slice system they're using. It's just disappointing. read more

We were traveling through Tallahassee. We were excited about the write up of the Coach on Yelp. BOTH styles of pizza, New York and Chicago! We were hoping to discover a new favorite place to stop each time we passed through. Alas. We ordered over the internet as we drove in. That assured the pizza was waiting when we arrived. That was a nice benefit. Unlike many order sites, this one had some nice features (customizing the pizza by ingredient, e.g.) and functioned well even though we were moving. The staff was great- welcoming and receptive to our questions. The food, however, was disappointing. The ingredients on NY Pizza, the Big G, wasn't described in the menu, so we grabbed a slice. I'm still not sure what the toppings were. But the savory sauce was VERY heavy on the oregano. There was the right amount of sauce but it overpowered every other flavor. The meat deep dish pizza looked great. The dough was stuffed at the rim- a nice touch, and there was ample sauce, We could see the pepperoni and some thin sliced meat but there was no sausage taste. The sauce was sweeter- our preference, but again, there was SO MUCH oregano, it overwhelmed every other flavor. If you read the web write up about who they are, they obviously care about people, their customers, and their community. I wanted to like it all... I wanted this to be a go to favorite. So, many of my negative comments can be attributed to personal taste. You may love the flavor. Keep in mind, the welcome, the heart, mission are all of value and deserve to be explored. Just finished eating our pick up order from Coach's. We enjoyed a deep dish combination pizza, a salad and cheese rolls. The cheese rolls were the star of the meal by far. A++! The pizza was very good - I just think I prefer hand toss crust as opposed to the deep dish form. The sauce was thick and tasty. Our pizza had pepperoni and sausage but I didn't get much sausage in mine. I did get plenty of onions and peppers which were all cooked just right. The crust was good- tasty and chewy. Not that good. I got a calzone and a salad. Salad dressing is a packet of Ken's. The calzone was mid. Ricotta bland sausage was cheap and rubbery. And I had to wait no exaggeration one hour. Being raised in the Northeast you get use to a specific taste for pizza, the crust is crispy on the bottom by soft at the top, the sauce is not too sweet and definitely not tart, and the cheese!!! Well lets just say there was never a need to ask for extra cheese as an added topping. Tallahassee pizza market as come a long way since I first moved here and although it still has a long way to go I will say Coach's pizza filled my pizza craving without disappointment.
