I have ordered from this restaurant for over 2 years. Best pizza within 40 miles any direction. Today, we ordered typical large, thin crust, cheese, mushroom, onion, pizza. Two different kinds of chicken wings, and Cajun Alfredo with shrimp. It always costs over $150 all in, on Door Dash. Today, the pizza was cold, looked like day old pizza!!!!! Called the restaurant, they blamed it on door dash. I say Equine Excrement!!!!! We have never had a problem before. Excellent delivery driver, all other food was hot and bubbly! You will never convince me that the pizza was made for this order. It was a left over that they stuck in this order over $150! Shame on you. We ordered at least once a week! On the search for a new fav pizza (New York, foldable style), excellent chicken wings, and good Cajun style shrimp pasta. Ordered from another local restaurant. Food is over charged,its not really that good, we bought a medium size drink and try to get refills while we where eating inside but they locked the drink machine so we couldn't get no more refills. Recommend not eat there. read more

This place is amazing! I literally drive 20+mins out just for this place. They have both regular and thin crust which my family love. I get the small pizza for me because I'm picky and only like pepperoni,lol. But it's always good. My boys sometimes get the meatball sub. It's huge! I took a small bite of one of theirs once and it has so much flavor. The next time we ordered from there we all got meatball subs lol. Can't go wrong with anything off the menu. My husband and I are celebrating our anniversary over a few days. We drove up to Mt Vernon on our historical and cultural trip visiting museums. this restaurant was right on the corner across from the museum. We stopped in for a quick bite. My husband enjoyed the wings and I was surprised they offered gluten options. The supreme pizza was the best, I've had now that I'm gluten sensitive. Compliments to the chef, because many gluten substitutes are not similar in taste anD Texture. This pizza was definitely not lacking in flavor or taste. We had our niece's 2nd birthday here last month and it was perfect because they had lots of space for all our family and friends. They even let us play our own music and bring in games for the kids to play! The kids loved the pizza and the adults loved it more so it was a win-win situation. They were very hospitable, they cut the kids pizzas into smaller slices for them to eat and they made a small chocolate dessert pizza for the birthday girl! This is the second time we had a party here, the first time we had my sisters baby shower and both times we were very pleased with their service. read more

Pizza is just kind of ok on take out but tried the buffet a few times as well. Buffet stars at 5 but usually no pizza til after 6 and slow to replace. Staff is busy with take out abs deliver orders so I think they're just too busy to do a buffet. Meatballs and pasta are a nice touch tho. Just either need more staff/ovens or drop buffet. read more

Mount Vernon texas milanos pizza, we have made orders several times over the phone and picked up, all orders were pizza only and always the food has been good!!! but tonight we went inside ordered and sat down to eat and my oh my was it a different story. it started when I first went to eat my spaghetti and meatballs and found what appeared to be a larva. after arguing with my husband about it for a minute or two I began to pick apart the meatball in my plate and that's when I saw the worm in the meatball. my husband stopped eating immediately said what was that, he took another look put down his slice of pizza he had in his hand stood up and said let's go now! he bolted out the door and threw up his food he had already eaten on the sidewalk to the side of the building, as I came around the corner I looked at him and said you saw that right and he said the worm yes obviously I did it was moving and I said ok then glad to know it wasn't just me! I called the restaurant and told the guy I wasn't calling to complain I only wanted to let them know what I found and began to tell him guy what we saw only to have him be rude and jump into me saying it wasn't possible because the meatball was frozen so I was mistaken! he began to ramble about how wrong I was so I just hung up the phone. I was trying to be nice and let them know they had an issue obviously they needed to look into but after his reaction I figured screw it they can either hire better people skilled individuals or they can just get fined whatever fines they need to when they are called in on and an inspector shows up and shuts them down. normally everyone is super nice in there, the man I spoke to was who was in the restaurant working and I recognized his voice from when I spoke to him while he was at a table so it had to have been someone new, I hadn't recognized his face from anytime before and the other fella i always speak to when I call my order in sounds different so obviously they need to find themselves another new guy instead of the one just recently hired I'm assuming! just beware of your food and make sure before you eat it is all I can say! we'll never eat there again! worms, no thanks just too much! read more

This is probably the best cheesy bread i have ever had! My wife and I were in Mount Vernon and being the foodies that we are, we decided to spend our evening scouting for the best-of pizzas, french fries, and doughnuts. After a bit of a walk in downtown in the cool summer evening, we arrived at this absolutely unassuming place. I had heard a lot about their cheesy bread from my family who live in Mt. Vernon and being a vegetarian and a firm believer in good reviews, we decided to take the suggestion of fellow food lovers and ordered of the cheesy pizza. From the first bite to the very last, this pizza was nothing short of spectacular! The crust was to die for. The cheese and the sauce had blended so well that it was a delightful explosion of warm garlic seasoned cheese in the mouth. Oh what i would do for another slice right now. I've eaten here almost every time I've been to mt. Vernon. The pizza was made to order, the crust was just the right amount of chewy, and the toppings where piled on high. I'll admit to ordering the same kind of pizza ever time, but I know what I like. The place is going for that "off the beaten path" look with its wood panels, old signs, and license plates. I chatted up the owner while I was there and found him to be a nice honest person. Over all, I enjoyed my experience here and plan to come again the next time I'm in town. I truly love the pizza and the atmosphere. This is exactly the type of hidden gem I look for whenever I travel and I highly recommend it. read more

I highly recommend the boneless buffalo wings, the crispy chicken salad, a supreme pizza, and the cheese pizza. SO good. And the staff are always super friendly. This was my first time there. I was a little disappointed they only do their buffet M-F in the afternoon. I would have thought they would on a Friday night or Sunday afternoon. The staff wasn't rude, but not very friendly. They knew it was our first time and didn't really offer any help. I got the bbq pizza. It was really good. I have eaten here twice, but both times I was the only one in there. I never see anyone there. we ordered take out the other night, and the wife requested deep dish. it was what we thought to be a normal crust and an obvious mistake so...we called them. Milano's said " Oh that is the deep dish, sometimes the bread doesn't rise but that's it alright." They knew who we were obviously because no one else was ordering) I understand that its a huge undertaking to remake dough if its not right but to charge for it and then not get it...well that's just not right. I am not expecting Chicago style in Mt Vernon but make a deep dish a deep dish! Ok... I am jut ranting now. on to the review: as far as taste, Yeah, its JUST OK There is better pizza to be had in these small towns. I think I would put it on par with CiCI's as far as quality. the salad bar leaves something to be desired as well. very few items and not very fresh. (there again I am sure due to lack of business) I went for the "buffet once and the only employee was in there by themselves watching TV when I cam in and there want a single pizza on the buffet. the up side??? the exact pizza I wanted but at the buffet price....SCORE!
