I've been going to Mila's spa for many years now. Mila is very experienced, personable and passionate about her work. Microneedles treatment totally changed the structure of my skin. It minimalized my pores and smoothed out my texture. She's not really into this business to have happy stress free customers. This is strictly business. Meaning yes, you need to pay the tax and tip. I would not recommend this place for a wax. Mila was not as thorough as some other places I have been. Without going into too much detail, some things things that should have been included were not and things that are usually standard procedure were not done. She was also late and did not have change for me. That said, this only applies for waxing. I cannot comment on other procedures. read more

I was looking forward to this day so much. Women who care for children at home 24/7 would understand what this little time for ourselves can do. But to my huge disappointment when I arrived the lady in charge wouldnt take me because i was preciously there and my groupon gift from my husband cannot be redeemed. I was sooo frustrated. I asked Mark who was giving me a massage to apply a little more pressure, I asked 6 times, but he continued to just basically apply oil to my skin. He also kept talking all the time, telling me great he is, which made it impossible to relax. I also did facial and Mila tried to up-sell more expensive treatments. Worst Brazilian wax ever, I didn't even let her continue to my rear end, I wanted her to be done! The hygiene practices are disgusting. The stick that is used to apply the wax was not changed with each dip. Neither was the paper used to remove the hair&Wax!!!!! Literally, she used the same sheet over and over letting layers of wax and hair pile up until she had no choice but to get a new one. Also she was lazy, there were clearly spots that she missed and she kept trying to send me on my way. I should not have to give guidelines on my waxes, they're painful & uncomfortable enough!! Mila is professional and knows exactly which treatment to give my face. I go to her on a monthly basis, and sometimes even twice a month. I definitely recommend her to all who get facials. Double dipping is a no no when doing a Brazilian wax and she double dipped throughout the whole thing which made me cringe. Only used one strip for the session which actually irritated my private area. Left it halfway done instead of waxing the whole area front to the back only the front was done. I would not go back. I went to Mila's SPA one week ago for oxygen facial and wax. Its a small business in a medical office located in a very good location in Brooklyn right next to sheepshead bay train station. I was very happy with the results of treatment. My skin looks fresh and feels so soft. Mila is a very nice, well skilled, professional esthetician. I'm normally not one to visit day spa's but after receiving a Groupon from my girlfriend for Mila's Spa we've came back several times already. We booked the appointment in advance and when a last minute cancellation occurred Mila had no problem re-scheduling us for another time. When we got to the center we met Mila who was kind and already had our rooms ready. I did the European Facial while my girlfriend had the Oxygen facial and can I just say WOW!! Our skin felt like it was 10 years younger afterwards and we were both glowing. The next day my girlfriend even said that all of her co-workers were asking what her secret was!! - Overall I cannot praise Mila highly enough, she even gave both of us suggestions on the best skincare products for our particular skin type (mine is pretty dry but can be oily sometimes) and her recommendations really helped. I've seen some reviews of having issues with the Groupon but you should honestly just call ahead and verify the details yourself if there are any concerns, I had no hiccups in this regard. 5 stars, thank you Mila!! read more

I got a Groupon from my mother as a new years gift so that I wouldn't be so stressed. I left this spa very stressed! After the procedure, which was not the best comparing to many I have tried before, I was asked to pay tip and tax. I told them that this was a gift and I didn't know I had to pay extra. The Groupon was for $75 and the lady said I should pay tip on the original amount the procedure would cost, which is $185. She tried to convince me them to pay $38 tip + 10$ tax. I told her I'm only paying on the 75$ and told her what tip I wanted to give and she told me I should pay 15-20% actually. Basically she makes you feel bad for not paying a good sum, which you're not obligated to anyway. Also during the massage, the lady's phone went off for a good 2 min. Totally killing the atmosphere. I was very upset leaving the place. But yes my skin feels soft...thanks. Also I have done a couple of spa treatments through Groupon before and not once have I been asked to pay extra. Mila is an extraordinary professional, she is a highly qualified aesthetician with many years of experience and the best at what she does . I met Mila by a complete accident when I got a Groupon for a full body signature treatment which included a facial. When we got to the facial part of my treatment, Mila exerted so much knowledge and care for my skin that I decided for myself that I would never go to anyone else but her. I naturally have very sensitive skin, which is part of the reason why I would not get a facial as often as I needed to, either get a mini facial and often times skip an appointment all along. Mila has some of the softest hands. Her treatments are amazing, needless to mention it was one of the most amazing, gentle, and relaxing , massages I've ever gotten (And I'm a massage connoisseur, I would buy Groupons and try different massaged all over the city). This was my first time at Mila's spa and I absolutely loved it! I bought a Groupon for a 90 Minute Signature Treatment not knowing what to expect. Coral did a wonderful deep tissue massage, body scrub and wrap. I felt so relaxed and drifted off a few times during her massage. She really loosened up some of the knots in my upper back and neck. Mila did my facial and I added on extractions. Mila was very gentle and the extractions weren't painful like it's been for me in the past. I would definitely recommend Mila's spa to anyone who asks.
