Great adventure, beautiful views, and incredibly helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. You'll definitely feel well taken care of. Definitely would recommend swimwear or synthetic (not cotton) clothes and a change of dry clothes after like they mention! Too bad I forgot to read the email details ‍.I hope they send text message reminders about these details as well, it's easier to check texts rather than email on vacation. We went on the intermediate route which was a ton of fun. On this route they also gave the option of trying out some more rougher class 4s which were the most exciting parts. Would definitely recommend the intermediate route if you're looking for something more exciting! It was not nearly as difficult or stamina depleting as I expected. I had a great time in this tour! I accidentally signed up on the wrong day so i showed up and they couldn't find my reservation. They were awesome to work with me and find a guide to take us out anyway. Jason was amazing. He was a patient teacher while I got used to driving an ATV and he was a knowledgeable guide who taught us a lot about the mountains and the area. We did the two hour tour which was the perfect about of time to really go up the mountain. Any shorter and we wouldn't have gotten to see much. Any longer and my hands would have been in too much pain from gripping the throttle. I did end up with a slight blister on my palm that really only hurt in the last 15 min. I recommend that you bring gloves since they don't provide. You can't go wrong with this tour. Lots of fun! read more

I'll start with the good stuff. It was pretty cheap compared to most rafting companies at only $60. The wait time was also quite short and we were able to get started pretty quickly. The guides seemed very competent and gave us a fun ride. On the bad side, our guide was pretty rude in the beginning but got nicer towards the end. I went solo rafting with mile Hi , it was a super smooth and top of the world experience , their instructors are great people and a super fun lot , I had the fortune of going with Dan, who was very knowledgeable and I had a great "blast" doing their intermediate course . The last 2 drops - not rapids they were Class IV mini waterfall drops - were fantastic ! We didn't not topple over and it was beautiful . The best part was the photos and memories man, best pictures ever , they have their van driver go ahead and camp periodically at various places down river to be ready to get pictures when you come down . Talk about a thrill! When going into the ATV tour we figured it would be flat paths and a joy ride - but we were wrong........in all the right ways.... After our single, flat parking lot lap, we were ready to face the unknown. We all felt safe and comfortable knowing our hot, strong, fearless leader Tyler was our guide. There were 7 of us that went on the blast trip. The river water was a bit lower due to the time of the year but the raft guides knew how to steer us through the lower points. They also did a very good job explaining how to paddle for those who have never gone or for a couple of us who hadn't been in many years. Wow theses guys are good. Really safety concerned and alll gear is provided. Thank goodness it was raining on our raft day. The wetsuits and booties were a godsend it was freezing. It was still really fun and an awesome experience. I'm super glad I toughed it out. Sure if it was 85 degrees it would have been nicer but we had a lot of fun. The guides were so cool. It's was an amazing day. We went white water rafting in the morning and 4-wheeling in the afternoon. Probably a little much in one day for this old arthritic body, but it truly was a great day. The rafting was so cool. I was amazed at what we could accomplish. The water was ice cold, the water temp was in the 30's, but that's because it comes down out of the mountains. We were there in June, so this water is obviously pretty cold year round. We had wet suits on and waterproof jackets over that. Then our 4-wheeling took up up 10,000 feet to a peak with phenomenal views. I have to mention tho, the only reason this review didn't get a 5, is because our guide was a cool 21 yr old guy, who obviously was in much better shape than our late 30's butts, and he said it would be better if he took us on this other route, instead of the one we signed up for. Well, it was like a class 5 4-wheeling route. I kid you not, we sometimes were going what felt like straight up and we were often traveling between thousands of boulders that were so big, it would often be navigated by all fours at times, if we were on foot. I mean it was causing our 4-wheelers to go back and fourth, side to side, I couldn't understand how the shocks and axles were handling the maneuvers we were doing. Felt like my tires were sideways, up next to my leg sometimes, instead of under the 4-wheeler. It was one of the scariest things I've ever done, yet one of the most exhilarating things, and I was proud that I was able to accomplish it. I've jumped off the top of a 110 story building in Las Vegas, the stratosphere, from a plank sticking out of the side of a building, and this ride was scarier for me than that. Maybe it's because I'm an inexperienced rider, but this was like Olympic or ninja 4-wheeling. Lol. It pushed us a little far. I have a bad neck, but I am not restricted from doing activities by my doctor. I had to go straight to bed that night when we got to the hotel, and Had to call the front desk to get an ice pack that night. The impact of twisting back and forth on those boulders was a feat I had not expected and was not supposed to be what was included in the ride we had reservations for. I did not know 4-wheelers were capable of maneuvering the terrain we trekked through. BUT... it was an experience of a lifetime for me and the 4 of us were talking about it for days. I told lots of people about it, and recommended it to those I thought could handle it. I'd come back, but would probably ask for a slightly lighter 4-wheeling experience. Don't know if I could survive that twice. I don't have any pics of the major boulders we were twisting between. But here are some others. And one last thing, it was raining on us part of the time when we were 4-wheeling. They gave us rain jackets. I stuck my hand in the pocket, it had a small amount of rain pooled in the pocket, with a soggy cigarette butt. GROSS. read more

Wow, wow, wow!!!!! This surpassed all of my expiations. For a group of rookies this was a well planned well managed company that really took the time to take care of us. My dad rode the razor and my brother and 2 brother-in-laws and myself rode the ATV's. We were given the best direction and led by a great expert Dakota. We saw old mining areas, an old mine, a natural spring that ran down the mountain, and what seamed like the edge of the world. Don't wait. I tried to book an ATV tour a month ago through Mile Hi's website for my boyfriend and I to ride together, but was unable to book for the time I wanted (2pm). I couldn't figure out why the system wouldn't let me book so I emailed and Suzen let me know it is because no other tours for that time had been scheduled yet and they don't do tours with less than 2 ATVs, which is totally understandable. She even offered to let me know if another reservation came in so we could book. Our trip is now 5 days away and I still hadn't heard back, so again I checked online for availability for my preferred time slot and it was still unavailable. I tried another time slot and that one was also unavailable, however when I tried a third time slot (4pm) my booking went through and I even received an email confirmation. A short while later I received an email from Suzen letting me know that they still did not have another reservation for the time we wanted, but we could pay for 2 people and go by ourselves if we wanted... ($350 as opposed to $225, even though we would be only using one machine). Since she did not reference which time slot she meant, I assumed she was following through with our initial email about the 2pm slot, so I let her know we were able to reserve the 4pm and we were all set. (See attached email screenshots) She wrote back and said they couldn't only send out one machine, again with no reference to the time. Since I had tried 3 time slots before I was able to make a reservation I was still under the impression that she was confused and didn't realize I already had made a different reservation than the one we had initially talked about. I had to email her back 4 times before I could get her to clarify that the 4pm slot was also unavailable to us, even though they sent me a confirmation email and CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD. Through all of it I never once received an apology for the miscommunication or for refusing to follow through on a reservation they confirmed and charged me for. She also told me that the confirmation email with "Thank you for your booking" in the subject line AND email body was actually a confirmation of payment, and not a confirmation of reservation. Apparently she doesn't know what the word booking means. there was no mention of payment in the email at all, but I did check my credit card account and I have been charged. Why did I get charged for a reservation we can't have anyway??? I have asked for a refund and to have my not-a-reservation cancelled and plan to take severe action if my money is not returned to my account ASAP. This is not a great way to do business, Suzen Raymond. In case there is some dispute about what was actually said in the emails I will be attaching them to this review. We have now booked through ATV Experience Idaho Springs. They are much better at communicating and are more popular so actually gave reservations for that day. I can see why! read more

While visiting Colorado, my bf and I wanted to do something where we could get a feel of nature. We chose to do the ATV tour and one word. Amazing! Growing up in the city, I never experienced mountains or even snow. This was definitely a culture shock for me but in a good way. Our guide Doug was fantastic! Tbh I was a little scared about going up a mountain but he was able to give us clear instructions and kept us safe. He also made sure we were able to get some memorable photos. The only downside for us was the location. We were staying in downtown Denver and pretty much relied on Lyft/Uber to get us places. Since this place was pretty far (about 45 mins) the price we paid to get up and come back down was kind of high. I would definitely recommend renting a car if you plan on doing multiple activities outside of Denver. Overall, this was an amazing experience and we truly enjoyed it! read more

After paying the price of $45 for the photos of our trip to be sent to my email, I never received them or any kind of refund. I left three voicemails (all of which were during their business hours), sent three emails, and sent a message to this page, and didn't receive any response to any of my attempts to contact them about the issue. I've never had a business take almost $50 from me for a service, then not only fail to provide that service but also fail to communicate or respond to any of the ways I tried to reach them. I'd like to say this place was super fun and the guides were great, which isn't untrue, but given the fact that they ultimately took $45 and never followed up with the promised photo email, I'm definitely not happy with this business and absolutely would recommend going to one of the several other rafting companies for a trip. read more

Our group of 7 booked a two-hour ATV tour here and it was incredible! The sign up process and introduction was easy and our guides were INCREDIBLE! Request Jason and Dawn when you book - you won't regret it! I was towards the front of our group, so I heard Jason most of the time. His overview of the ATV was perfect - not too technical and in-depth that he lost me, but not so basic that it was condescending to adults. He really does have the perfect balance of fun and playful, but knowledgeable enough to make us feel safe. They were both very knowledgeable about the areas, stopped at GREAT lookout points so we could appreciate the view and snap some photos, and gave us tips & tricks along the way. Be the two-hour tour was a good length for our group and well worth the money! read more

I booked online and the website was anything but intuitive for people who wanted to do more than one activity. When I called, the lady who answered was less than excited to try and help me. It was really frustrating, especially since it costs so much $$ to do these activities. We shopped around, but everybody was similarly priced, and nobody else we found offered both rafting and ATVing. Shawn was awesome while we were rafting! We surfed for a looong while, and had a blast on the beavers! Can't wait to go again! Wish I'd brought a waterproof camera! The downtime between rafting and ATVing was a lot longer than we'd anticipated and the food was just OK. If we had it to do again, we'd skip their complimentary lunch and head straight into town for a bite and a brew. Doug was great on the ATVs. We had another couple with us who were so sweet! But they didn't have as much experience on the machines as we did, so the trip was a lot more novice than what we'd hoped for. Regrettably, we didn't bring any cameras with us and missed capturing the breathtaking views! All in all, the activities were fantastic and the guides are awesome, but dealing with the office stuff/people was not. read more

WARNING: AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. Here's what they won't tell you when you sign on: They will not let you cancel or get a credit for a future date under any circumstances. It was pouring buckets and there was a lightning storm but our guide wanted to take us up the mountain anyway. He said we would be OK since the ATVs were plastic and the wheels were rubber (seriously?!?!). BUT, he did concede that lightning hitting a tree MIGHT be a problem and we would have to duck for cover. The owner is a real piece of work. You will learn for the first time when you arrive that you are responsible for any damage to the ATVs. Even if you buy the $20.00 insurance policy that probably goes straight into the owner's pocket, there is a $2000.00 deductible. So when it's pouring rain and you're "ducking for cover" after lighting hits a nearby tree, you're going to be out $2000.00 when a limb from said tree hits your ATV. And here's the cherry on the cake, don't think your bank will credit the charges on your card. This horrible place makes you sign waivers up the wazoo and they will use them against you with your bank. This place thinks nothing of risking your life to line their pockets. We arrived at 1 as requested for a 130 rafting trip. we didn't leave the store until after 3. apparently a guide's family decided to go rafting, and all customers had to wait until they got there and signed waivers and got fitted for wetsuits. when i questioned the delay, i was made to feel petty. the guide was great, but being delayed almost 2 hours for this reason is completely unacceptable. read more

We went in August 2020 and the water is low during this time but our guide Chris and the rest of the staff still made it an enjoyable adventure! Our guide provided us interesting tidbits of information about the rapids and the surrounding area! They also provided free wetsuits and $5 booties if you don't wanna wet your shoes. Went with a big group for ATV and rafting. Rafting could have been much better, we had Shawn as our guide and he would state commands way too late and we would bump into rocks or trees on either side. I did not feel safe with him as our guide and right before we were finished we crashed into the pier of a bridge at full speed which caused the raft to flip and threw us all into the water right before it progressed into class 5 rapids. According to the other buddies on the raft, he was not helpful when trying to pull the others onto the raft, told some of us to jump on other boats which flipped those boats and despite yelling for a rope, multiple other guides were not able to get one or didn't hear us. Roman who was the guide on the other boat, noticed we needed help and proactively tried to get some of us back safely when were in the water. Safety training needs to be much better on the trip and the guides need to be much more attentive. I would have enjoyed it more with a better reassuring guide. Also there needs to better communication between the guides when people need to be pulled out of water. Shoutout to Danimal and Leah who helped us out. Regarding the ATV ride, it got delayed by an hour by the previous group so we couldn't even complete it. Staffing is poor at this location and at multiple instances, we could not find anyone at the reception to ask questions. For the cherry on top, their computer broke and we could not get any photos of the entire experience. tldr: Disappointing experience. Avoid Shawn as your guide, he crashed us into a middle pier of a bridge at full speed, made us feel unsafe and then ignored us for the rest of the trip after we had to save ourselves. read more

My son and I were looking for an ATV Adventure and we had a great time at Mile High. We were the only ones on the tour so we got the royal treatment. Rode up steep rocky road to the top. Amazing how high we got in so little time. Guide filled us in on all the silver mining history. We visited a site that used to be a silver town and saw some silver mines. peeked into one, very cool. Great place to go if you just have a couple of hours to hop onto some ATVs and ride. I hear the rafting is some of the wildest around during the summer when the water is running. read more
