    After our river ride!
    Kimberly M.

We had such a fun adventure with Dani, our guide! She gave us lots of fun facts about Breckenridge and Browns Canyon and kept us entertained the whole way down the river. I HIGHLY SUGGEST going for level 4 because we did wish we had a bit more rough waters on our trip. The ladies on the phone suggested level 3 even though I stated we were comfortable for a higher level of adrenaline. We're pretty fit and athletic and felt the Brown's Canyon at level 3 was a bit too slow for us. We wanted to feel adrenaline!! Haha Kids 7/8 and up would love level 3! The photographers need to be better too because they didn't get a single good picture with all of us in the picture so we couldn't buy a photo. :( Overall great trip, great company, clean equipment, super friendly staff! P.S. The water is pretty cold so I highly suggest getting a full suit and booties.

Our family of ten did a full day guided rafting trip down Brown's Canyon with Derek and Macy. We had an absolute blast and the guides were accommodating and truly engaged the kiddos. We had 11 yo, 10 yo, 8 yo and 7 yo along with grandparents. Highly recommended for this area.

    Views were beautiful!

We booked a 1.5hour, level III white water rafting trip in Buena Vista, Co. A great family owned business that was well organized and has great, friendly employees working for them. This was our first ever white water rafting trip and they made the experience enjoyable. I would highly recommend them. Our guide was Jackson so make sure you ask for him to be your guide! He was great! Make sure you grab some coffee or hot chocolate from their snack bar! The customer service was one of a kind!

What a great day we had whitewater rafting with Brad, Catfish and Red. They were great guides who watched out for each other's groups on the water and made us all laugh a lot. We also learned a lot about the river, mountains and ColoraDefinitely worth the long drive we made to get there.

We had a great afternoon rafting! Our guide, Sam, went above and beyond to make sure we had a safe and adventurous trip! So happy we booked with Kodi during our stay in Colorado!

It's definitely a large operation. Check in for us involved a 100 people or so. But they've got it down. Don't plan to bring much/anything with you honestly. You can choose wet suits, dry jackets etc... It was 75 degrees in July here so our family split between wet suits and dry jackets. The latter was the better choice. You take a 30 minute school bus ride and some quick safety instructions (thanks Erico!) And then get assigned to your boat. Ours included 8 of us and a guide. Honestly that was too much but okay. Our guide was Tristan who was fantastic. Funny and engaging with fun facts along the way. But more importantly you could tell he was taking safety seriously. We did the browns canyon ride and it was a good mix of slightly challenging for the kids and fun for the adults. All in all it was a great way to spend half a day!

The your started with a ride up the mountain in an old army truck (my least favorite part is the tour). From there we took 6 zip lines back down to the bottom of the mountain. The views are stunning, the guides do a great job of keeping things moving, and making sure everyone enjoys the trip. There must be a book or class or something that sets up guides with all the bad jokes you hear during a tour -- we heard more than a few twice between rafting and the zip line, and honestly as bad as the jokes are that was one of my favorite parts of any type of tour like this. One other thing we appreciated - the tour company photographer is along for the first couple of lines. Of course, they do this so you buy a package of photos at the end of the tour, but I have to say the pictures we got were top notch - she got a few scenery pics, and several of the three of us in our group. They weren't just pictures of us hanging on a wire above the ground - some are from the platforms before we took off and she especially got some nice ones of our 11 year old. After being couped up for a year and a half during the pandemic, we wanted a trip that helped make some great memories and the pics we got were well worth what they cost.

But Austin was our fearless rafting guide and part-time therapist--who calmed nerves, cracked jokes, and got us paddling in no time. From the very first splash, Austin made us feel safe and slightly more athletic than we actually are. He coached us through the twists and turns of the creek, and somehow convinced our teens that getting absolutely drenched and paddling for their lives was the best day ever. Miracles do exist. We glided through hidden stretches of the creek like pros (or at least like enthusiastic amateurs with great lighting), hollering with joy and soaking up every second of the adventure. Even the "hold on tight!" moments felt like a ride at a theme park--but with better views and less screaming. 10/10 would paddle again. If you're looking for an unforgettable family outing full of laughter, nature, and just the right amount of "we might flip but only if you don't do what Austin says", he's your guide. He's part guide, part hype man, and all-around river legend. Bring snacks or a picnic lunch for after an early morning trip, bring sunscreen (and put it on BEFORE you get a wetsuit. We did the six-line tour and had a great time. The staff of four was especially attentive to safety and helped us all get through everything from the slow short trainer line through the fast long line that starts from a platform atop a short stairway and runs over a quarter mile across the valley to another platform on a hillside. It was quite exhilerating! I've got another review out there for a ZipLine place that I tried out on Hawaii's big island. Having done experienced that course (including a half-mile zip over a beautiful waterfall) in Honolulu, the Denver course didn't seem quite as scary. That is both because I knew what to expect and also because the harnesses and pulley equipment seem to have improved drastically in the four years since I did my earlier Zip trip. I would also note that the scenery around the Denver Adventures course was actually prettier to look at, even while screaming across a few dozen yards of steel cable. There were a couple kids in our group who were around 10 years old and they had apparently done Zip trips in Costa Rica, Texas, and a few other places. They still seemed thrilled by the Denver course and had a great time. A bit of warning: I had no trouble with the preliminary and between-Zip hiking in Hawaii and that's because the altitude was 200ft above sea level. In contrast, the Denver hiking had me a bit winded and I learned (just before the final Zip) that the altitude was 8,600 feet. The kids and teenagers didn't seem to notice, but we adults clearly felt the altitude -- and the water stations along the route were quite welcome! To their credit, though, the staff appeared to be accustomed to working with all kinds of tourists and didn't make a deal of it at all.

I would highly recommend getting the full day pass, early in the morning. Covers the gondola ride ($42!?) and gets you access to everything. Or pay full boat on the zip-line and that gets you access to everything for two days. From the alpine coaster to the Game Creek Zip-line to the nerve racking ropes course, this spot is great. The coaster was a favorite for the entire family, even my son that doesn't like any kind of ride. I think the ability to control the coaster was a big help. The Game Creek zip line was truly incredible. For those that are wavering on the experience, dig deep and do it! Be sure to book in advance and try your best to get the morning slot to avoid potential afternoon weather issues. The views are incredible and the zip lining is exhilarating. I've done zip lining in Maui and this was on par with that experience. Better in that the harness keeps you facing forward and not able to rotate, not as good because there's no ocean view. But the views of the mountains and valleys are a good substitute. Dave and Ryan were incredible guides; encouraging, knowledgeable and hilarious. Safety is the main focus, "they clip, you zip". One zip is just under half a mile (up to 60 mph) and another is over half a mile. And you get to ride a ski lift to the very top of the mountain. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience. The ropes course is more challenging than it may appear (or we just suck). My daughter and I did the first level up and that was enough for us. It wasn't the height (we've done courses that are 50 feet up), it was the instability of the course, which I guess is the point. Makes it much more challenging but she tapped after the first level. The only disappointment was the tubing. The ride up was more exciting. When you first launch, you're thinking that you're going to plummet down the slide but something with the way the course is set up keeps you from going very fast.
