Where do I start I called them and said that I wanted a regular sub and I told them that the last sub didn't have hardly any manaise so I wanted a little extra well after the lady was very rude because I said that the sandwich was to dry last time I got home and open the sub and there was so much manaise on it I couldn't eat it and you could probably make like 3 more subs with all the manaise on it it was bad read more

A "MUST TRY . . . AND REPEAT ALWAYS" WHEN VISITING BEDFORD PA. I've been coming to Mile Level Pizza & Sub since I was a little boy in 1970. Family Owned and Operated since 1968 I believe. Same little walk-in shop serving up traditional pizza squares and delicious subs. Christmas Eves at my childhood home were filled with pizza squares and subs from Mile Level. A great place to take dates in high school in the 70's-80's; on a Saturday night, then sit in the car outside, sharing a slice and half sub while listening to soft rock songs on the radio. I moved away from Bedford almost 44 yrs ago, but I return a couple times yearly. I have at least one meal each time from Mile Level, and always take home a whole sub, sometimes 3 or 4 to share with friends in Eastern PA. Nothing fancy about the food or Shop, but darned good tasting food and excellent, friendly customer service. Recently met the grandson of the original owners, and he is proud of their 55-year history and works the shop often. My personal favorite is the Regular Whole Sub, on good old delicious white roll, with ham & salami, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and oil & vinegar. The prices are very reasonable as well! Can never choose which sub to have - they're all great. Pizza is only $1 a cut! They do accept credit cards now! Try a Taco pizza or my favorite - Cheeseburger pizza with ranch instead of pizza sauce. The girls are always so friendly and service on busy Friday evenings (thanks to the Bedford Co races right up the road) is still quicker and tastier than other businesses in the area. Reliably delicious subs and pizza. The pizza is a thick breast crust with a perfectly balanced sauce, generous cheese and a single pepperoni per cut. The subs have a bread/meat/veggie balance that can't be beat. I always go with the Regular. I've never had another pizza or sub to compare to Mile Level. When I'm nearby, I usually buy a full sheet unbaked to freeze and enjoy later. read more

They have made our subs wrong EVERY single time. even after calling and getting a voucher for free subs. We've tried to keep doing business with this place, but are giving up after tonight. Our subs were dry, no mayo, second time this happened. Most other times the subs had no pickles or no peppers or the wrong cheese, and this is after the clerk writes down what we want. So we will not be ordering from them anymore. read more

This place is very small but the place was clean only 2 at a time inside and must wear a mask -- the place is old and dated -- it is simple and small but clean. The staff of 2 very clean young ladies and very polite. My husband and I have been by this place many times over the years this time we decided to get a little lunch there -- we got 4 slices of pizza at first I didn't think I would like it because the crust was thick looking but when you bite into it is has a little crunch and is so light and tasty -- not a heavy thick crust. I was amazed and we truly loved the pizza sauce and cheese. We will be back for more and to try other items on the menu. read more

This is a hidden gem, very easy to pass by judging by looks. Pizza is good, dough is a little more bread like, not my personal preference, and comes in square cuts. The subs are the rock star of this place, best around and easily a top 5 on my list and my job and family adventures have covered many miles over the years. There definitely is no clear cut winner out of the selections, each as good as next depends on your taste. The soft bun is what sets these apart from most. Prices are competitive to the big chains. The employees and owners are really friendly and welcoming, a must try if in the area. One drawback is there is no sit down area, but it doesn't really matter. read more

Subs are awesome and wrapped in white butcher paper. The bread is the best! Small, square cut pizza is good but has thick crust. I make sure to stop by whenever I'm passing through. Make sure you have cash because they don't accept cards. They sell drinks and chips too. Carryout place that does a lot of local business. You know what they say - eat where the locals go! read more

They reheat frozen pizza and then serve it to you. Subs are akin to high school cafeteria food.

Facilities aren't much to look at. It's clean and the food is very good and reasonably priced. I had a half turkey sub and slice of pepperoni pizza. Next time I'll just get the pizza because the half sub is too big (about 8"). read more
